We had a good time at Howl tonight. Joe Maddox and Bill Ritter performed great, and made it easy for me to perform my songs. It was a packed house, and we had a bunch of people come tell us they want to see more of our shows! Thanks, everybody!

End Zone Tap 2/20/10
Bill Ritter and I were in one car, and Joe Maddox rode with Duke from Bowler, WI to Chicago, IL to perform in Duke's old neighborhood. We left for the show at different times, so Bill and I stopped in Milwaukee to eat lunch at a cool, spy-themed restaurant named the Safe House. If you ever pass through Milwaukee, you should stop. It's cool.
The gig was fun at a local bar. The crowd was a little subdued, but they enjoyed the show. Bill's bass amp acted up again, and after he monkeyed with it for a few, he concluded that it was his rack tuner which was causing the problem, not his amp. Good news for Bill!

Mohican North Star Casino 2/19/10
We drove about 8 hours north to Bowler, WI to meet Duke at the casino for a Friday night show. When Duke arrived, he told us that when he left Indianapolis, he left his cell phone on top of his car, then drove away. He heard it hit the interstate, so he was without a phone for the weekend. Other than that, all was well until we heard Bill Ritter's bass slowly disappearing from the mix. He scrambled to get it to work, while I took over the bass lines on the piano. The sound man ended up running Bill's bass through the P.A. for the night. Somehow in the second set, his bass amp mysteriously started working again.

Zydeco's 2/16/10
Zydeco's in Mooresville was packed tonight! We had a blast playing for the crowd, and one lady named Sharon, came up from the crowd to sing with us. She sounded great, and we enjoyed backing her up. The night was filled with music & food. Joe (drums), Karl (sax) and Bill (bass) played great, and everyone had nothing but good things to say about the band. My awesome wife came out and took a TON of great photos for us. Thanks to Zydeco's staff for making it a fun night!

Knights Of Columbus 2/13/10
We backed singer Mary Duncan-Stein tonight as she returned to her hometown of Greensburg, IN, for a night of jazz, blues & broadway tunes for Valentine's eve. Jake Hahn joined us on guitar for the evening, while Joseph Maddox, Bill Ritter & I tried to convince him to perform all of our shows with him! He played great, and Mary sounded excellent to a sold-out house. We performed two 50 minute sets after dinner was served. I hope we get a chance to work with Mary and Jake again soon!

Zydeco's 2/11/10
Tonight was (one of Zydeco's great employees) Karen's 10 year anniversary working at the restaurant. Joe , Bill and I performed for her party, and we were joined by guest guitarist, Chris Wolf. Chris tore it up, and I suggest you see one of his shows if you can. We passed out whistles to the crowd, and made it a special night for Karen. Congrats!

Bypass Bar 2/7/10
Duke had us meet him in Muncie for a pre-game party at 4:30pm. We didn't finish at Zydeco's until 2:00pm, then we had to tear down, load the cars, and drive and hour-and-a-half for Mooresville. We made it with about a half-hour to spare. The gig wasn't very busy, and we only played until kickoff, so maybe it picked up after we left. I came home just in time to see the Saints had won.
Zydeco's 2/7/10
Deb had us bring the whole band in for brunch leading up to the Super Bowl this morning at 11am. We performed tons of tunes and confused the crowd. We were decked out in our Colts gear, but we played nothing but New Orleans music. Then again, we always play New Orleans music...

Indiana Live Casino 2/6/10
Tonight was packed at the casino! The streets were clear of snow, so people came out to party. Requests were flying in all night long, and we tried to play them all. Thanks to all of the fans who came out to see me duel!

Indiana Live Casino 2/5/10
We had a bunch of snow drop on central Indiana, so not many people were in the casino tonight. We only had a handful of patrons in the club at any given time, and I think most of them were just waiting for the weather to taper off. Pretty slow, but at least the piano players had a chance to tighten up the show. Let's just leave it at, it was a fun practice night.
Zydeco's 2/5/10
CNN did a live broadcast from Zydeco's in Mooresville, IN this morning at 8am, which means we were there and set up by 7am. Deb and Carter (the married couple who owns Zydeco's) have a unique situation. Carter is from New Orleans and he wants the Colts to win the Superbowl, and Deb is from Indy, and she wants the Saints to win. CNN picked up the story and ran a live interview with them. We performed to get the crowd involved! Go team of your choice!!!

Indiana Live Casino 2/4/10
Tonight was a little slow as I did the dueling piano thing at the casino. The weather is starting to look bad, and it was a work night, so few made the trek to Shelbyville. Those who came out had a good time, and we even had a guest horn section! Lots of fun!!!

Bob & Tom Show 2/3/10
Today, the songs had a bunch of stuff going on in them. The NFL song had about eight phone calls ring through during the song with odd commentary from a slew of comedians. Then, the Colts song had about eight extra people in the room to shout "Go Colts" at various times in the song! An extended version of "Happy and Peppy" in the Colts song gave the people plenty of chances to shout their shouts. Wow.
