Moonshine & Ale 2/21/26

Tony and Wendy are fans of ours, and tonight, they surprised us with a couple of really cool ornaments before we started our show! We really have the BEST fans. When we took the stage, there were already a bunch of requests waiting for us, and we had some really fun and unusual ones all night long. “How Bizarre”, “Walking On The Sun”, “Opalite”, and “War Pigs” were just a few of the tunes we played. Ryan Hall joined us on drums at 10p, and sounded great as always. It was packed all night, and we had a really fun time entertaining the crowd. Oh! If you read the blog last night, you know Heather’s keys vanished, but we heard from one of our fans that they mistakenly took them home. They will be returned tomorrow! Yay!

Moonshine & Ale 2/20/26

We had a good night in New Braunfels tonight. It wasn’t too busy, but we had lots of requests ranging from John Denver to Britney Spears. Things went fine until we were packing up after the show and Heather’s keys were missing. I’m hoping that someone picked them up by accident and will return them to the bar tomorrow. They were on a lanyard with her ID and some other things. If anyone saw them, please reach out! I took her home to get her spare key and back to her car at my house, so she’s fine and safe. We’ll be back Saturday night for more!

Moonshine & Ale 2/19/26

Pancho was back on guitar with us tonight at Live Band Karaoke, and Heather and I were happy to share the stage with him. We had a bunch of our regulars out tonight, which is always fun for us. At one point in the night, there was a small altercation, but it was handled very quickly and professionally. Heather and I will be back for piano bar both Friday and Saturday this weekend, so come join us!

Livestream 2/17/26

Happy Mardi Gras! I decided that since my gigs for today didn’t pan out, I’d do a livestream and then take my wife out for a date, so that’s why I did! I played a little over 2 hours on my livestream. It was full of my original tunes and New Orleans favorites. Then, after I finished, Christine and I headed to New Braunfels to listen to some music while getting dinner. We went to Krause’s where my buddy Kenny was playing with his band, Gumbo Ya Ya. They sounded great, and before our food was ready, they called me up to do a couple numbers with them. It was a bunch of fun, and it was great to hang out for a bit to watch them. Afterwards, we headed to the Villa in Gruene on our way home to see the Hoodoo Daddies, another good band in the area, all of which I’ve played with at a local blues jam. I’m glad I got a chance to hang out with Christine this year. It was a great date night!

Moonshine Drinkery 2/14/26

Happy Valentine’s Day to all our friends in Victoria, TX! We had a great night performing for everyone, and we love that we got to perform on everyone’s special date night. We had so many great compliments after our show which was so appreciated. Oh, and on our way in, we saw a double rainbow!

Hemingway’s Craft House 2/13/26

We performed a ticketed event in Graford, TX, tonight  it was a great show with a crowd ready to sing and laugh with us. We had everything from Genesis to Lady Gaga requested. It was a really great two-hour performance, and we’re now making that 4+ hour drive back home so we can get back on the road to play a Valentine’s Day show in Victoria, TX, Saturday night! Always a whirlwind of gigs, and I love it!

Moonshine & Ale 2/12/26

Heather and I were joined on stage tonight by Josh Holmes on guitar so Pancho could take care of some family issues. Josh sounded great, and kept up in our show. We had a ton of singers singing everything from James Brown to Janice Joplin. They had the stage all decorated for Valentine’s Day, and we enjoyed starting everyone’s holiday off with Live Band Karaoke.

Moonshine & Ale 2/7/26

We had a good Saturday night in New Braunfels. Lots of people celebrating a lot of things all requested their favorite songs from me, Heather, and drummer Ryan Hall, who joined us tonight at 10 PM. Even when Heather and I started the show at 8:30 PM, we had a lot of really good songs on the piano, and people were singing along right from the start. The keytar made multiple appearances throughout the evening, and my favorite had to have been pulling out the saxophone part for George Michael’s “Careless Whisper”. It was another fun night!

Moonshine & Ale 2/6/26

This is a big reason why I love my job. Not only do I get to play piano with one of my best friends for a living, but I hear from people regularly letting me know how much our show means to them. One of our first requests came up tonight with the sweetest note on it, saying “Thank you for letting us listen to you for 10 years!” It was shocking to realize that I’ve seen them at shows for that long. They both have been so supportive over the years, and I believe they either met or maybe had a first date at that show 10 years ago. I love all the couples we have had a part of their lives, whether it’s from performing at their wedding or just simply they met at our show. I love you all!

Moonshine & Ale 2/5/26

We had another fun night performing Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels tonight. Pancho, Heather and I do it every Thursday, and we always have tons of people share the stage with us. It’s always cool to see which one of the 450 songs people choose to sing. We played several tonight which don’t get requested as often, so those were fun to Shake the dust off of. Thanks everyone for joining us each week!

Moonshine & Ale 1/29/26

We had so many kind words said to us tonight! Everyone was in a good mood for Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, TX, and they were letting us know all evening how much they like what Pancho, Heather and I do. It made me feel great!

JW Marriott Austin 1/27/26

We performed in downtown Austin tonight for a private event for Boston Scientific, via our friends at Groove Labs. I played an hour and a half solo instrumental dinner set, then Heather joined me to play requests from the crowd. Right before we began, one of my oldest friends from Indianapolis ran up to greet me! Jon works for the company and was there for the convention, and neither one of us knew the other would be there! It was a great event, and I hope we get to be a part of their next one!

Embassy Suites Round Rock 1/24/26

We performed for a private event in Round Rock tonight. The weather (across most of the U.S.) is cold and wintery, and even in Round Rock, TX, we had ice, sleet, and snow which made it hard for many to attend the gala, unfortunately. There were still quite a few people in attendance, and we all had fun together. Lots of requests filled our shortened evening, and they told us they will have us back next year. I hope everyone stays safe out there in the cold! Side note: our drummer tonight, Alex Lugwa, grew up in Guam, and this was his first experience with ice or snow, so we made sure to snap a few shots for his memories. Alex rocked it tonight!

Rockin J Piano Bar 1/23/26

The weather is moving in, but we still had a good crowd in Cedar Park! We had some fans come out for us which is always great. It’s currently about the furthest north we perform every now and then, so a bunch of people who knew us from Belton visit us here. We also had a few birthday parties and just people wanting to have fun before possibly getting stuck inside for a day or two due to icy weather. Hope everyone stays safe!

Moonshine & Ale 1/22/26

Wanna know something weird? Most every week when Heather and I drive to New Braunfels for Live Band Karaoke, we leave roughly about the same time and drive 20-25 minutes south to our exit and pull up to the first stop light behind the same car. Every week. The same car. It has a vanity plate, so it’s easy for us to remember, but it’s strange that no matter how much we vary our time by stopping at a gas station or navigating traffic, we always end up behind that car at that light nearly every week. Anyway, Live Band Karaoke was fun as always, and Pancho is a treat to work with. We will be in Cedar Park for a Friday night piano bar show at Rockin J. Come see us!

Kissing Tree 1/20/26

Now it’s Tuesday night, so we played a dueling pianos show for the fun folks at Kissing Tree in San Marcos. Heather and I get to perform there a few times each year, and we love performing for them. We’ve made a bunch of new fans and friends there over the years, and it’s great when they all show up to dance and sing with us. We’ll be back at the end of February, so see you then!

Moonshine & Ale 1/17/26

Alex Lugwa joined us on drums in New Braunfels tonight for our show. Heather and I played through tons of requests and pulled the keytar out for a bunch of songs. It was a cold night, but we kept it hot all night!

Moonshine & Ale 1/16/26

I love gigging with Heather. We click, and the crowd always notices. Some of the requests tonight were ones we haven’t played in years (or ever), and it was fun dusting off those tunes during our show. We laughed pretty much non-stop all night, so my face kinda hurts now. Gotta get some rest before having more fun tomorrow night at Moonshine & Ale!

Moonshine & Ale 1/15/26

We had a good time at Live Band Karaoke last night. It wasn’t super busy, but we had a steady stream of singers up on stage with us. Heather and I will be back for piano bar both Friday and Saturday this weekend, so come see us!

Rockin J Piano Bar 1/10/26

Heather and I played in Cedar Park, TX, tonight. It was pretty full all night long which was great considering it was cold and a football game was going on. People still sang along with us and sent up a bunch of requests. We had fun, and we’ll be back on Friday 1/23/26!
