We played at Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels, and though it started slow, the crowd picked up about 10p and it was packed until we ended. Heather and I both played some stuff we don’t normally get to play, which is always fun. After the show, the sky was full of clouds, and a fantastic lightning show was amazing! I took a shot of it with Indiana Bones when I got back to San Marcos, and it’s one of my new favorite pictures.

Moonshine & Ale 5/21/26
It was raining like crazy when we arrived in New Braunfels for Live Band Karaoke tonight. Pancho, Heather and I started the night off with “White Room”, then it was non-stop people coming up to sing with us. We always enjoy our shows on Thursdays. Heather and I will be back for piano bar Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this weekend! Come hang out with us!

Marriott Marquis Houston 4/18/26
Our Monday night was spent in Houston, where we played a private event for the Marriott Familiarization Trip, and we were hosted by Groove Labs. Heather and I had a good time, and the staff was really nice to us. I played an hour of soft, instrumental tunes before the awards show, and then we both took the stage for some dueling pianos afterwards. Thanks for including us in your festivities!

Moonshine & Ale 5/14/26
Live band karaoke went well tonight in New Braunfels. It started off a little slow, but it picked up by 9:30 PM. We had some of our regulars come out and sing with us, and a whole bunch of people celebrating graduation. On our break, we had six or seven people come up and give Heather and I hugs and told us how much our show and our positivity on stage and off is appreciated. It always makes me feel good to hear that kind of stuff from people!

I was so happy to see my buddy Lori from Indiana tonight! She is here for business, but made some extra time to come visit. Heather and I only got to talk to her for a couple minutes before our show, but we have plans to hang out tomorrow. If you look close at the picture, she’s sitting at the table right by where I’m playing drums. Anyway, the show went great, and we had some really unusual songs requested. I kept looking at what was hitting the piano and thinking to myself that I haven’t thought of that song in years. And that one. And that one, too. So many, but we played as many as we could before New Braunfels closed down the town at midnight, as they do every Friday night. What were some of the more unusual requests, you maybe wondering? How about Jeff Healy “Angel Eyes”? Or Morphine “Cure For Pain”? Or “Drive” by The Cars? Great songs, but I don’t think if we’ve ever had any of those requested before.

Moonshine & Ale 5/2/26
Saengerfest was held tonight in New Braunfels for its 23rd year running, which means downtown was nuts! Lots of people, music, vendors, and commotion all over the streets and square. We performed from 8:30p-1a (with drummer Ryan Hall joining us at 10p) and they had the streets closed off until midnight. We had an amazing crowd and a steady stream of requests like “Pink Pony Club”, “Don’t Stop Believing”, “Pink Pony Club”, “Rhinestone Cowboy”, “Don’t Stop Believing”, and “Pink Pony Club” to name a few. Ryan and Heather are always fun to perform with, and the show was a bunch of fun tonight. Our buddy Pancho was playing guitar for a couple different groups during the festival, so he popped in for the last hour of our show, and Heather and I got to hang out after the show with him, which was also great! Heather, Pancho and I will be back at Moonshine & Ale this Thursday night for Live Band Karaoke, so join us!

Moonshine Drinkery 5/1/26
We played in Victoria, TX, tonight for all our friends t Moonshine Drinkery! It was full all evening long, and we had a ton of requests. I’ve said it before, Victoria always requests the most unusual and fun stuff. We played everything from Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life” (for some people from Evansville, IN) to The Dead Milkmen’s “Punk Rock Girl” (for the staff) to Blondie’s “Call Me” (for a cool couple who has seen us in Victoria and New Braunfels) and many other songs throughout the night. It was a bunch of fun, and we’ll be back next month with our Live Band Karaoke show!

Heather, Pancho and I played for Live Band Karaoke again tonight to a packed house! We had lots of our karaoke friends come out to sing with us, and several new people joined us as well. Pancho shined on a couple ZZ Top tunes, and Heather kept the show rolling while I played keys and left-handed bass. These two always make me happy to perform with!

Rockett Cafe & Club 4/25/26
Due to a strange turn out of events, Heather and I unexpectedly played a show in Waxahachie, TX, with the Eighty Eights Show Joel Henry! We originally were booked for a show in Fredericksburg, but Friday afternoon, the venue called me to let me know they had mistakenly double booked Saturday, so they couldn’t have us. While I was on the phone with them, Joel sent me a text asking if we were available for a last-minute fill in, so everything worked out great. Joel had everything ready to go when we arrived, so we played from 9:30p-12:30a while rotating breaks. It was about 3.5 hours from home, but we were happy to drive up to help Joel out which also helped us out. It was a fun night!

I had fun at our show, and fun hanging out with Heather!

Otto’s Ice House 4/19/26
Gumbo Ya Ya invited me to perform with them yesterday afternoon in San Antonio at Otto’s Ice House for a crawfish boil. We played from 2p-5p outside, and it lightly rained through most of that time, but there was enough cover for everyone to still enjoy the day. David Henderson was great on guitar, and Kenny Felton knows his way around all my favorite New Orleans beats which made for a fun afternoon!

Moonshine & Ale 4/18/26
Tonight was 2000s night at Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels, so I put on my best 2000s outfit and ended up accidentally dressing exactly like our buddy Poncho. He showed up for a bit, and I instantly started laughing because we were matching so thoroughly. Heather looked great in her tank top and tie. Jay was on drums tonight at 10 PM, and he had a good look as well. We had a ton of requests and couldn’t get through all of them, but we made it through the vast majority. The crowd was in a good mood, and the staff all dressed up as well. Everyone looked great, and I’m glad Heather and I got to be a part of it!

Moonshine & Ale 4/17/26
Heather and I did our show in New Braunfels, TX, tonight. We had some very fun songs requested, and quite a bit that we don’t usually get. I enjoy that we get to make people happy, and that our show brings together a wide variety of people. I also love when unexpected things happen like towards the end of the night, a couple got engaged during “Piano Man”! It means a lot that people want to share their special moments during our show. Heather and I want to extend our very best wishes to the newly engaged couple! Congratulations!

Moonshine & Ale 4/11/26
Heather and I were joined in New Braunfels tonight with the great Alex Lugwa on drums. We got a chance to sing several duets together, and a bunch of other songs we don’t normally get to do. “Time After Time”, “Jackson”, “The Loco-motion”, and “Pontoon” are just a few examples of some songs we played. Alex was a joy to work with, and Heather is one of my bestest friends, so it made for a fun evening!

Moonshine & Ale 3/27/26
We had a good crowd tonight in New Braunfels. It started off kinda slow, but within the first 45 minutes, people flooded in to see our show. Several birthdays and bachelorettes were celebrated, and lots of people danced throughout the night. Heather sounded great one everything she sang, and I enjoyed the show. Afterwards, I downloaded some pictures from my camera and got super weird and distorted images of us performing. It’s the first time I’ve seen a ten-gallon ball cap.

Moonshine & Ale 3/26/26
Live Band Karaoke was fun tonight! Not only did some of our staff get a chance to sing with us, but we got to see the former owner of Moonshine & Ale for a bit. He stopped in to see us, as did a bunch of our regular singers who join us most weeks. New Braunfels was a little slow all over, but we had a good crowd all night long. Thanks to everyone who sings with us. We really appreciate your participation and support!

Victoria, TX, was hopping tonight! Heather, Pancho and I brought our Live Band Karaoke show to our friends at Moonshine Drinkery, and it was a blast. The place was packed, and we had new singers as well as some people who have sang with us before. I love performing with Heather and Pancho, and the crowd can see it on stage. We love to see things like one of our regular singers, Rudy, posted after our show. I love that everyone is so supportive of each other at our shows!

We played at a private club in Fredericksburg, TX, tonight. We set up by the pool and took requests from 5p-8p. Lots of fun songs were requested, and there were a bunch of little kids dancing around. It was fun! My super talented wife Christine came along and took a bunch of photos for us. She’s awesome.

Moonshine & Ale 3/14/26
Saturday night before St Patrick’s Day in New Braunfels was busy! We had a packed house from our first note, and a bunch of parrot heads who have seen us before brought the party out as soon as we started. Of course we played some Jimmy Buffet for them, and a ton of other songs for everyone. Normally, we have a drummer come in at 10p on Saturday nights, but Heather and I ended up covering the whole night from 8:30p-1am with no breaks. I am exhausted, but I had a great time. Heather and I will be back at Moonshine & Ale this Tuesday at 7pm for St Patrick’s Day!
