Texas Rodeo Saloon 9/20/26

 

We played Live Band Karaoke again tonight in Katy, TX  I was glad to meet several new singers, and a we had a bunch who joined us last week return. My sister-in-law joined us for a song, which was nice to have her up with us. The bar had a giveaway to the best singer tonight, and a guy named Alex won $100 from the judges. I spoke to one singer who told me it took her two bus changes and about an hour to come to the show, and she said she’d do it again for us. That made me nearly cry! 

Moonshine & Ale 9/19/26

 

We had a packed house for “Rock” night at Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels, TX. Alex Lugwa joined Heather and I for the show, and we had some great songs requested. Everything from “Message In A Bottle” to “Twilight Zone” to “Give It Away” were all requested. Our friends from England who caught our show last night came back in for more tonight. We had lots of birthdays celebrating as well, and it was a good night all around! 

Moonshine & Ale 9/18/26

 

Heather and I had a good crowd tonight in New Braunfels, TX, at Moonshine & Ale. Special shout out to our fans from Manchester, who were in town tonight for a wedding between a Mancunian and a Texan. I was a Hoosier when I married a Mancunian, so it was great having them celebrate like Christine and I did! We had a great time with everyone, and we will return tomorrow night for more piano bar! 

Moonshine & Ale 9/17/26

 

Live Band Karaoke went well tonight in New Braunfels. Pancho, Heather and I welcomed our mutual friend Alex up for a song on drums tonight. He’ll be helping us out from time to time, so it was nice to have all of us together. Our various singers were enthusiastic, and we had lots of positive feedback from the crowd. Thanks to everyone for hanging out with us. Heather and I will be back for piano bar Friday and Saturday night! 

Texas Rodeo Saloon 9/13/26

 

Our first Live Band Karaoke show took place in Katy, TX, tonight at Texas Rodeo Saloon. Heather and I explored around Katy after we checked out of our (weird) AirB&B, and had some great food at Babin’s Seafood House before heading to the club to meet up with Pancho with his amazing electrified guitar. My brother and sister-in-law came out, as well as my nephew who brought a friend. It’s nice to see them, and to meet all of our new fans who sang with us tonight. The sound system was fantastic, with a big thanks to the sound engineer Willie. We will be back the next three Sundays to have more singers join us on stage!

Marriott Marquis Houston 9/12/26

 

We performed tonight for a private event for Christian Brothers Automotive in Houston, TX, with Groove Labs production. I played an hour of light instrumentals while people were getting their food. Then after a short break, we started our request show. Heather played everything from “You’re So Vain” to “Brown Eyed Girl”, and I had “Time Of The Season” to “This Magic Moment” on my side during our dueling pianos event. They had us in front of the hotel, which was very hot, but everyone stuck around, danced, and sang along. We went back to our AirB&B (which was interesting, to say the least) after a quick visit with my niece and nephew who live in the area, and a couple of late-night tacos. Tomorrow, we perform our Live Band Karaoke show for the first time in Katy, TX, at Texas Rodeo Saloon! 

Moonshine Drinkery 9/11/26

 

We made several new fans in Victoria,TX, tonight. We always love performing for all our friends and regulars at Moonshine Drinkery, and after the show, we got a chance to talk to several groups who told us how much they enjoyed seeing our show for the first time. One of our fans who couldn’t make it to the show sent her daughter in with homemade banana bread for us! It made Heather and I feel all warm and squishy inside. We really have the best people hang out at our shows with us. We left after the show and drove to an AirB&B in Katy, TX, for our next couple night’s shows, and realized quickly that there are no blinds anywhere in the house, so I guess a couple hours from now, I’m going to be very happy I brought a sleep mask with me. G’ nite! 

Moonshine & Ale 9/10/26

 

It was a little slow in New Braunfels TX tonight. People trickled in, and we had a decent crowd for the second half of the evening. Some of our regulars came out, and tried songs that they don’t normally sing, which was a lot of fun for us! Heather’s husband, Chance, came out to the show tonight, which was great to be able to hang out with him for a bit. Moonshine & Ale 9/6/26

 

We wrapped up our 4-night show run at Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels tonight. We had a great crowd and some unusual requests like “The Letter”, “Long, Cool Woman”, and “It’s All Coming Back To Me”. It was a fun show, especially for a rare Sunday night show. Heather and I were thankful for how great the crowd was to cap off our weekend!

Heather and I were joined by Ryan Hall on drums tonight in New Braunfels, TX, at Moonshine & Ale. The crowd came in early tonight and stayed until our last note! We were all three laughing our way through the night. The requests were mostly right down the middle of the most popular tunes, and we gladly played them all. It also makes me happy when we have a bunch of people celebrating with us, which we did tonight. Heather and I will return tomorrow night for a special Sunday show starting at 8:30p. Come on out!

Moonshine & Ale 9/3/26

 

Tonight went great in New Braunfels at Live Band Karaoke! We had fans visit us from Corpus Christi and California, plus a whole bunch of our regulars. The crowd broke out their flashlights for Journey, and Pancho played every note, plus three extras just for fun. Heather and I will be back Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Moonshine & Ale for piano bar! 

Regal Rooms 9/1/26

 

There’s an open stage every Tuesday night in Austin, TX, at Regal Rooms hosted by Breck English. I’d heard nothing but good things about the jam and the venue, so when I got a call to fill in for their regular keyboard player, I was happy to help. I performed with the house band including drummer Dan Frezek, bassist Randy Kieth, and guitarist Jim Heckroth. I played keys most of the night, and did a few songs on bass. Good jammers and a supportive crowd made it a good night. My buddy Kenny Felton who told me about this room a while back showed up to jam, too! 

Private Party 8/29/26

 

We performed for a 60th birthday surprise party in San Antonio! Heather and I played all the requests from the crowd on their outdoor patio. It was very hot when we started, but it cooled off and was a really nice evening. Happy birthday, Mills! 

Moonshine & Ale 8/22/26

 

Tonight went great in New Braunfels! Heather and I performed 8:30p-10p, and then drummer Ryan Hall joined us to take the show up to 1am. We started the night with five requests, each celebrating different things like birthdays and bachelor parties. We once again had a wide variety of unusual song requests. It was a really fun show!

We had a good crowd tonight in New Braunfels. Heather and I swapped off between drums and piano for our 3.5 hour long show. It’s nice when people notice the difficulty of this type of show and comment about it afterwards. We had a few different people tell us how impressed they were with how we performed after our show. Heather really does make my life better!

Heather, Pancho and I had another great Live Band Karaoke night in New Braunfels. We played several songs which don’t get requested often, which was fun. Thanks to the bachelorette party for hanging out with us tonight, and it was good to see our friends Wade and Kirsten come back to sing with us. Heather and I will be back for piano bar all weekend! 

Duenas Party 8/16/26

 

We performed a house party in San Antonio tonight. Steven had us over to entertain for a housewarming party from 8p-10p at his new house, and also was a going away party because he’s switching jobs. All of his friends, coworkers, and neighbors were really cool people. One little girl, maybe three years old, came up nd whispered “Choosin’ Texas”, so I played it and she danced the whole time. Steven gave a nice speech about halfway through the night, and it was great to see people all just relaxing and enjoying food and music. Thanks for having us!

A flood of people joined us all at once at Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels tonight. Elton, Nicholas, Lisa, Mikaela, Nivek, Randy in so many more of our regulars joined us this evening. I also love that we see new people every week. It’s a fun show, and I always look forward to Thursday nights.

Conan’s Pizza 8/13/26

 

Nathan Hanners once again fronted The Long Lost Locals in Austin, TX, at Conan’s Pizza south. Phil, Micah, Kenny and I set up in the tight corner of the restaurant and played a bunch of our bluesy original music. There’s an upright piano on stage, so I stuck a pickup on it and used it to fill in all the piano parts and let my Nord handle the Wurlie and B3 sounds. It was a fun 1:15 set! Afterwards, another band took the stage. I didn’t catch their name, but on the stage where we felt a little cramped with out five people, they had nine guys on stage, including four (4) drummers on 4 kits, two bass players, two guitar players, and a keytar player. Wow! 

Moonshine & Ale 8/8/26

 

It was absolutely packed tonight for our show in New Braunfels at Moonshine & Ale. The song requests were coming in hot and heavy all night long. Heather and I played as many back-to-back hits as we could for pop night! Our buddy Ryan joined us at 10 PM on drums and the three of us had a great time. We definitely had some unusual requests, but we guided each other through all of them, and the crowd was singing over the top of most of what we were playing all evening. Congratulations to all the bachelorette’s in the crowd tonight, and happy birthday to all of those tables who were celebrating with us. 

Moonshine & Ale 8/7/26

 

“Heart and Soul” by Huey Lewis was requested tonight. I love that we get songs like these. Heather played some George Strait, and we both did “Pink Pony Club” at different times. You just never know what’s going to be played at our shows! We’re doing one more show there this weekend. Come out tomorrow for “Pop Night”. Dress up like your favorite Pop Star, be it Britney Spears, Elvis Presley, Madonna, or Paul Anka.

We had a great time in New Braunfels for Live Band Karaoke! It wasn’t super busy, but we had more than enough requests to carry us through the whole night. We saw quite a few new faces in the crowd, and we had a bunch of people tell they’d be back to see us all this weekend at Moonshine & Ale. I love my job. 

Moonshine Drinkery 8/1/26

 

Heather, Pancho, and I took our Live Band Karaoke show back out to our friends in Victoria, Texas, tonight! Alwin is a regular there, and has been coming to our shows for many years. He was celebrating his 50th birthday tonight, so the bar bought him a cake, and we had him come up to sing with us. We made several new fans and had a lot of great singers. We got to see our friends Rudy, Rachel, Adrian and several other people which always makes it a fun night for us. A big Happy Birthday to Alwin, and thanks to our Victoria peeps for taking great care of us every time we come back to town! 

Moonshine & Ale 7/30/26

 

It was a crazy night in New Braunfels! The place packed out pretty early, and we had more requests for people to sing with us  at Live Band Karaoke than ever before. Several birthdays and engagements brought their parties out, so everyone was in a great mood all night long. We got to see some of our friends like Josh and Lauren, Nadia, and Mikaela and a bunch more. Once again had lots of different people come up to us at the end of the night to tell us how special what we do really is. Heather, Pancho, and I just lock in and hang on for three hour show each Thursday. Come see us whenever you can! This Saturday night, we will be bringing our Live Band Karaoke show to Victoria, Texas at 9pm. 

Moonshine Drinkery 7/25/26

 

We love our Victoria, TX, friends! Tonight was great, with the crowd singing along and requesting everything from Tupac to Celine Dion. We had fans from New Braunfels come out to the show, and everyone seemed to really enjoy our show. We will be back next Saturday night with our Live Band Karaoke show, so join us! Also, I was super happy because I brought some of my canvas art out to show our friends behind the bar, and a couple of the bartenders bought a couple pieces. It was a good night!

Moonshine & Ale 7/24/26

 

Thursday night Live Band Karaoke was a bunch of fun. My nephew Josh Holmes filled in for Pancho on guitar, while Heather played drums and I covered keys. We had a bunch of people in we haven’t seen in a while, which was nice to see! Also, we met several other musicians who came out to sing with us and/or support their friends who were also singing. After the show, Heather and I headed back to San Marcos, and just after I got home, I called Josh to make sure he got on the road safely, and while on the phone, he had a tire explode. Fortunately, he had gone through a drive through after the show and was still in New Braunfels, so I drove back down, helped him get his tire off, picked him up, drove back to my house, and got to bed about 6am. He took my truck and ran to get a new tire as soon as they opened, and by 8:30am, we were back on the road to New Braunfels to put on his new tire and send him safely towards Houston. What a crazy end to a long day.
