Texas A&M Texarkana 3/30/15

Dave Lovett and I met up about 6 hours away from home to play a dueling piano show via Howl2Go for a student taco party! We performed from 8p-10p, and the requests were all over the place, from Sam Smith to Led Zeppelin. They were an energetic bunch of students who continued singing the "Pitch Perfect" soundtrack as we packed up for the evening. It was an interesting Monday night gig!

AJ's Ale House 3/28/15

Vince Mejia and I weeded through about a hundred birthdays and bachelorettes in San Marcos tonight. Maybe it was less, but it sure felt like every third song, someone was asking us to bring somebody on stage. We had a great crowd, and Vince was on top of every tune. After the show, I was given so many compliments, I thought I was being Punk'd. Thank you everyone for your kind words!

Railyard 3/28/15

I played with the Hill Country Gentlemen from 3p-6p today. The fellas sounded great, and the aroma of the crawfish boiling away filled the air. The weather was perfect, and there were no empty seats, so for a mid-afternoon gig, it went great! Thanks, San Marcos, for supporting live music!

Aztec Theater 3/27/15

I had a great time performing a Howl-2-Go show in San Antonio with Dave Lovett tonight at the historic Aztec Theater! We played for the folks at Owens Corning, so naturally, the Pink Panther was there. He danced with us and helped the crowd loosen up. It was an extremely interactive crowd, which makes our job easier. Before we took the stage, the crowd ate dinner while watch acrobats perform, which was fun to see. The night went so well, they asked us to perform an additional 30 minutes!

AJ's Ale House 3/26/15

I had them up and dancing tonight in New Braunfels. Most of the folks were there from about 9:15p until 10:45p, then the crowd thinned out. Most of the stuff requested at the end of the evening were just mellow tunes. It was good to see a few familiar faces tonight, too!

Pampell's 3/21/15

Tonight I found myself in Kerrville, Texas, performing a blues show with the great Marc Benno. It also made me very happy to have the solid rhythm section of Clay Rheinlander and Kevin Humphrey, on drums and bass, respectively. We began the night performing for a private party for a couple of hours, and then played about three hours open to the public. I had a blast performing with Marc on his original tunes and some old blues tunes. One cool thing that happened at the show was a couple of fans from New Braunfels shows, Colin & Kelly, showed up to watch the show after getting engaged just hours before! Congratulations, you two!

Howl At The Moon Houston 3/20/15

I joined the crew in Houston tonight for their Happy Hour show. From 6p-8p, I had fun swapping songs with Carey and Vince. There were quite a few parties hanging out, and the club was consistently filling up, preparing for the evening. Thanks for having me out, Houston!

AJ's Ale House 3/19/15

I had a pretty good Thursday night show in New Braunfels! Lots of random requests from a steadily growing crowd took me all night to get play them all. All we are is dust in the wind.

Sean Patrick's 3/17/15

San Marcos was hopping tonight for St. Patrick's Day! The Hill Country Gentlemen slammed through a powerful set of upbeat, rockin'-Americana tunes, and folks danced and sang along. Even toward the end of our show as began to rain, people hung around, drinking green beer, and generally enjoyed themselves.

AJ's Ale House 3/14/15

Happy Pi day! Joe Resnick and I played to a full house in New Braunfels tonight. We had more birthdays, bachelorettes and bachelors than I could keep track of! Requests were all over the place, and we played as many as humanly possible. The magic of Joe's drumming kept me together all evening, and I had fun!

AJ's Ale House 3/12/15

I had a few interested people in the show tonight, but overall, I was battling the NBA on TVs all around me. Music vs Sports? Sadly, sports always wins. I did have a good amount of requests and people singing to random things like the SpongeBob theme, but anytime ball goes to basket, eyes go to TV. See you Saturday!

House Party 3/8/15

I performed at a house party with Ian Lee and the Open Hearts tonight in San Marcos. We had a great time (right up until a noise complaint shut us down). The music Ian writes is very fluid and melodic, and the apartment full of people sure enjoyed themselves. Tonight's line up of great musicians included Curtis Clogston on bass, Chris Wallis on drums, Kevin Humphrey on electric guitar, Ian was playing acoustic & violin, and I played piano. There's a video on YouTube of one of the tunes.

Muddle 3/7/15

I had a fantastic night with Joe Resnick in Waco, Texas this evening! We had a packed house, lots of requests, and lots of dancing. Joe really made my night easy by just being on it, as always. There were many songs I played that he knew better than I did and there were many songs that I played that I knew better than he did, but we stuck together as a solid team, and pulled out every song as if we rehearsed it! Thanks Waco, it was fun!

AJ's Ale House 3/6/15

The list of tunes we did tonight was insane. The club was packed wall-to-wall, and Michael Gammon and I played non-stop requests for three hours. There were pop, metal, jazz, rock, disco and more hitting the piano tonight. I felt a little schizophrenic by the end of the night!

AJ's Ale House 3/5/15

Great crowd in New Braunfels tonight! The night started off slow, but about an hour and a half into my show, three huge parties came in to sing, dance, and have a good time. Many fans I haven't seen in a while came out to have fun at the show, too! It was great seeing everyone tonight!

House Of Blues 3/2/15

Dave Lovett and I carpooled from San Marcos to Houston to perform on the main stage at House Of Blues for a Howl2Go private event. Dave is a great player, and the show went perfectly. What was the first request? FREEBIRD! Naturally. We both had fun trading off licks and tunes tonight, and I look forward to working with Dave again soon!

Zelicks 3/1/15

What a great time at Zelicks in San Marcos I had today performing with The Hill Country Gentlemen for Texas Independence Day! We ran through a little over an hour worth of material, smack dab in the middle of the afternoon. Kevin was on fire, digging in and trading licks with me. Troy, Jer, and Clay kept things tight in spite of a difficult-to-hear-yourself-in room. This was the first show I used my upright piano cabinet on, and it felt great. Looking forward to the next Gents show!

AJ's Ale House 2/28/15

Mikey Gammon took some time off from the Ha-Ha Hole (in Bastrop) to play a gig with me in New Braunfels! It was great because a group of fans from Marble Falls came out to celebrate a birthday with us, plus we had another three birthday groups in the house. It was a record-setting evening in terms of requests, and the club was packed all evening long. Mikey, of course, sounded great, and I'll miss him when he returns to the Ha-Ha Hole (in Bastrop).
