Zydeco's 6/28/15

The triumphant return of DanHolmesGroup to Zydeco's in Mooresville, Indiana happened today from 12:30pm-4pm, and it was a party! Bill Ritter on bass and Steve Brunner on drums (the Indiana chapter of DHG) joined me to play a bunch of original tune and some New Orleans classics to the extremely appreciative crowd. The owners of Zydeco's, Deb & Carter Hutchinson, were so kind to open up for a special Sunday show. A huge thank you to both of them for having us! It was great to catch up with old friends, while making new fans in the process. Also, thanks goes out to Christine Barton-Holmes and Nancy Ritter for taking some great photos today!

The Palms 6/27/15

Tonight, my wife and I were DJs for Krista (Turner) & Alex Bullington's wedding reception in Plainfield, IN. We had a great time seeing everyone so happy as they danced to all the tunes we played. We had lots of family and friends at the wedding, so it doubly nice to catch up. Fun evening, congrats to the bride and groom!

Moonshine & Ale 6/20/15

I had a most excellent time with Mikey Gammon in New Braunfels tonight! The crowd was insane, and they kept us busy all night long. It was one of the best nights in recent memory! Mikey and I had fun, goofing around during some silly songs, and then we locked it in for some serious tunes. Thank you to everyone tonight who came up to us after we finished for all your kind words about the show!

Taxi's Piano Bar 6/19/15

Chris Wallis and I played at Taxi's Piano Bar tonight in San Marcos. We had a pretty good crowd with many odd requests. Chris was rock-solid, as usual, and he made the night super-easy for me. See everyone at the next show!

Moonshine & Ale 6/15/18

New Braunfels was the location of my gig this evening, at the newly renovated Moonshine & Ale! I had many unusual requests, but I still tried my best to play them all. The crowd was kind to me, and I want to remind everyone that I'll be back at Moonshine & Ale on Saturday night.

Muddle 6/13/15

Roger Glenn and I had a great time in Waco, Texas tonight! The early crowd was there to dance, and the later crowd was there to sing. That kind of energy all night long makes the time fly by. Some people from San Marcos showed up as a surprise at the end of the evening! It was a fun evening.

Taxi's Piano Bar 6/12/15

Taxi Haskell and I did our request piano show this evening in San Marcos. I had a good time when all the dancers came in! They brought lots of good energy into the room. Thanks to everyone who hung out with us tonight!

Moonshine & Ale 6/11/15

Tonight in New Braunfels, nice weather brought in a later crowd, ready to request lots of standard tunes like "Jack and Diane" and "Friends In Low Places". Everyone seemed to be in good moods, so no complaints here! After the show, I headed to San Marcos where my buddy, Troy Stone, was hosting an open mic. I jumped up and strummed a couple of original tunes on his guitar to finish my evening.

Moonshine & Ale 6/6/15

Joe Resnick and I performed the last show of the Grand Opening week at Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels tonight. Lots of people in, checking out the newly remodeled space, and generally having fun. We had multiple birthdays and many requests to keep the evening flowing. I hope to perform with Joe again soon!

Taxi's Piano Bar 6/6/15

DanHolmesGroup performed at Taxi's for a flood relief benefit from 6p-7p in San Marcos. They had live music by various acts in the club from 3p-2a. Chris Wallis originally couldn't make it to the show, so Noel "Doc" Vickers stepped in to drum. Chris surprised us by showing up, and so both drummers played with the band today! It was great! Kevin and Ian both held the show together, and the hour flew by. Thanks to the United Way for helping out with the concert. And thanks to Doc for filling in on drums!

Moonshine & Ale 6/3/15

The grand opening of Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels is finally here! Joe Resnick and I started off the night by performing from 6p-9p, and Matt Wilson & Mikey Gammon closed out the night with a 9p-midnight set. Six hours of non-stop, request driven, piano & drum excitement in the former AJ's Ale House, with free drinks to the crowd for the celebration. It was a landmark event, not only in the fact that it was the grand opening, but that the four of us were all in the same room at the same time! Fantastic!
