Moonshine & Ale 4/28/18

John, Amy and I teamed up on the crowd in New Braunfels, TX, tonight. It’s always a pleasure to perform with both of them! We had a great crowd with what seemed like an endless parade of birthdays and bachelorettes. We had the keytar and John’s trumpet to sprinkle in the show, which was fun. Yay!!!

Fairmont Hotel 4/21/18

In the Park View room, Chris Wallis and I performed for Kelly Penick’s 50th birthday celebration in Austin, TX, tonight. We played a three-hour show from 9p-midnight. Before and after our set, I did a little DJ work to keep the crowd entertained. Chris and I had a great time in the beautiful new downtown Austin hotel, and it was a pleasure performing for all of Kelly’s friends on her big day! Happy Birthday, Kelly!

Moonshine Drinkery 4/20/18

It was a fun night in Victoria, TX! We had tons of requests and people dancing to their various tunes all night long. The great Chris Wallis joined me on stage as we ran through a bunch of 4/20 related song request shenanigans. Thanks to all the people for bringing up so many tunes tonight! It was fun playing them!

Darwin’s Pub 4/17/18

I performed with Mikey Gammon in Austin, TX, on 6th street tonight. We had a great crowd of singers and dancers! They were on a Beatles kick at one point, which I always love. I enjoyed performing with Mikey, especially since we got to play a dozen tunes or more tonight which we’ve never played together. It made for a fun time!

Moonshine & Ale 4/14/18

Tonight, I met and performed with a couple players in New Braunfels, TX. Evan Burgess and Jami McNeill both put on a good show for the club. A few bachelorettes and birthdays, and a bunch of requests made for an entertaining night. It’s always a good time in New Braunfels!

Farmer’s Market 4/14/18

Ian Lee, Nick Lochman and I performed as “The Swingits” today in San Marcos, TX. It was a gorgeous day to play outside, and we had a great time playing a bunch of Western swing tunes and standards, plus a few original tunes just for good measure. During our second set, we were joined by Ike Eichenburg on guitar. Big thanks goes out to Christine Barton-Holmes for taking a bunch of photos today!

Moonshine Drinkery 4/13/18

Friday the 13th made for a fun night in Victoria, TX, with Noel “Doc” Vickers (drums). We played lots of tunes on their brand-new stage, and had a 21 year old birthday girl come get a song sung to her. Most random tune of the night was a tie between Jerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street” and Martha and the Vandellas “Nowhere To Run”. We played them to an appreciative crowd!

Cap10K Race 4/8/18

Gray Gregson and I performed in the HEB VIP tent at the finish line of the Cap 10 K race in Austin, Texas this morning. It was in the upper 40s while we performed to all the runners who would come in and sit for a few before wandering around all the various activities happinging on Auditorium Shores. Groove Labs provided production, and we’d like to thank them, and HEB, for having us out today!

Moonshine & Ale 4/7/18

I played with Mike S. and Mike C. tonight! Crazy crowds and everyone loved us! Tons of weird requests, and we played most all of them. I love my life. Everyone should eat fewer avocados.

Also, I played “Lola” for an 80 year old Lola in the crowd. It wasn’t weird at all.

Moonshine Drinkery 4/6/18

Chris Wallis and I traveled to the magical land of Victoria, TX, again this evening to play as many requests as possible in our three-hour show. We provided PA for this particular show, so we had a bit of time before playing to get set up. I knew it was going to be a special night when we received a request for the theme from “Young And The Restless”. It just got more interesting as the night went on, and I can say with confidence, Chris rules.

Moonshine & Ale 4/5/18

I played with the fellas tonight in New Braunfels, TX, for Live Band Karaoke. Lotsa random people came up to sing lotsa random songs, just like they were supposed to. I can’t believe how packed the club was at 10pm. We had standing room only for a while! Andrea and I swapped instruments at one point which gave me a good idea of what to expect when I come back to play drums for the night later this month.

Moonshine & Ale 3/31/18

First off, Happy Easter! Tonight in New Braunfels, TX, I performed with Mike Sueiro and Craig Hendry. This was my first time sharing the stage with Craig, and he’s a talented performer! We had a chance to play “Stacy’s Mom” for Stacy’s mom, “Jessie’s Girl” for Jessie’s girl, and “All The Single Ladies” for one dude who liked it a bunch. Sadly, no one requested “Little Bunny Foo Foo”. I guess there’s always next Easter.
