Rockin J Piano Bar 8/28/21

Just when I think I know what to expect, we have a night like tonight. Heather and I were so happy with the wildly different song selections the crowd made, and everyone was being so generous. We had a full club of people really watching and listening to us, and I’m proud of the show we gave them! I’ve said it before, but Heather and I make a great team!

Moonshine & Ale 8/27/21

It made me happy tonight when we had people from all kinds of different shows we’ve played in the crowd. One couple hung out all night, and afterwards, told us they’d watched our show when we played in Shiner, and gave us some great compliments. Heather and I are so happy working together and seeing friendly faces at our shows.

Things got crazy at Live Band Karaoke tonight! We had a full room of party people. Everyone seemed to had a great time. We had every level of singer take the stage, and they all got a chance to sing with me, Heather & Pancho! 

Lenox 7th 8/25/21

We played a fun, semi-outdoor grand-opening of Lenox 7th in Austin, TX, tonight! It was attended by the residents and future residents of the residential complex, and the staff. A ribbon-cutting, toasts and people singing along filled our longer-than-expected set. A band was supposed to play before us, but didn’t, so they asked us if we’d do our 3-hour non-stop show, and we gladly obliged. Really nice to meet the people tonight, and there’s hope for a return show here for a future event. Congrats on the grand opening to Lenox 7th!

Moonshine & Ale 8/21/21

I filled in tonight for another player in New Braunfels, so it was a rare show without my partner Heather. I worked with Kyle and Greg to entertain the packed house. The show went fine, and I was glad I could help out the venue by filling in! Heather and I will be back at Moonshine & Ale next Thursday for live band karaoke, and again on Friday for piano bar!

Running M Bar & Grill 8/20/21

AllRequestPiano brought the party to Gonzalez, TX, tonight! Heather and I had a great time performing with each other. We keep each other laughing through all the song requests we play, from Lizzo to Jerry Lee Lewis. We had lots dancers and people singing, so that makes a good show for us! We’ll be back in October! 

Moonshine & Ale 8/19/21

Heather and I helped out at Live Band Karaoke tonight! I played drums the first half of the night, and Heather took over for a bit so I could help with the sound system. She even got a chance to sing a karaoke song before the end of the night! We always know how to have fun! 

Darwin’s Piano Bar 8/18/21

I was called to fill-in for a player tonight in Austin on 6th street. John Duran was drumming, and it was a no-pressure type show. The crowd defaulted to telling us bands they like, and we picked random songs of theirs to play. It was nice to play on a random Wednesday night! 

Greek Bros Oyster Bar 8/14/21

Greek Bros in El Campo is one of AllRequestPiano’s favorite spots to perform! The staff is great, and the crowd is always ready to participate. Heather and I swapped songs all night while drummer Chris Wallis held the rhythm down. We played an extra hour tonight, which was fine with us! When people are dancing, singing, laughing and generally filled with joy, it makes the gig fly by. Thanks again to everyone for hanging out with us tonight, and we’re looking at another date at Greek Bros sometime late this year or early next year! See ya then! 

Rockin J Piano Bar 8/13/21

Friday the 13th was in full swing tonight in Cedar Park. Heather and I had a ton of great requests from the crowd, and some of them were oddly off-center, but it made the night that much more fun for us! What was not fun was having a random lady stick her fingers in my mouth. Also not fun was dancers tripping on the drum shield, making it collapse on Heather and injuring her with her own mic as pieces fell to the ground. She didn’t let it phase her, though. She played a full set after that! All is well. 

Moot Music Cafe Livestream 8/13/21

I love performing on Moot! Things get weird fast, and Heather and I are always sleep-deprived which adds to the weirdness. Nothing but good vibes from Frankie the monkey and everyone watching, and it always starts our Friday in the best way. Even when it’s Friday the 13th. 

Moonshine & Ale 8/12/21

Heather and I played in New Braunfels for Live Band Karaoke tonight (with Greg on guitar). The evening was a slow start, but by 9:30p, the place packed out. Heather did a fantastic job getting singers up and guiding the band through whatever tunes they decided to sing! Yay!

Livestream 8/11/21

Tiny red keytar made an appearance on Facebook live today! They wanted “Jump” with the keytar, but my white one is packed up already for this weekend, so I grabbed this one. It was… humorous. Some great song requests today, and funny comments! One of my students jumped on and asked for a song by Sting that I’d never tried, but it went great. Glad I was able to do a show today! 

Rockin J Piano Bar 8/7/21

Our Saturday night was spent in Cedar Park together, taking requests, like we do, from the crowd! Did we play Van Morrison? Steely Dan? Britney Spears? Lizzo? I’m not telling. If you were there, you know. I think you should make it out to our next show. You. Yes, you, reading this. I wrote this for you.

Moonshine & Ale 8/6/21

Hoooooooweeeeeeeeeee, Heather and I had fun in New Braunfels tonight! We had people singing and dancing right from our first song right up to midnight. We had friends in the audience as well as a bunch of new fans. I dunno why, but I just felt good all night. I blame Heather. 

Moonshine & Ale 8/5/21

We were in New Braunfels tonight for Live Band Karaoke! Lots of first-timers packed the room, and we also had some old fans pop in, too. Lots of people commented on how good we sounded tonight, which made me feel good. Heather and I will be back for piano bar tomorrow night!

Darwin’s Pub 8/3/21

Sixth Street in Austin, TX, was quiet on this Tuesday night. I was called to fill-in for another player earlier today, so I performed with drummer Joe Resnick. He’s such a solid drummer. We performed our 3-hour set, and made some people very happy! That’s all I can ask for from a gig.

We did our thing tonight up in Cedar Park, TX. We had a great crowd, which is pretty common there! If there’s one thing I can say I like, it’s cookies. If I get two things; cookies and shows with Heather. Three things? Whoa. Action figures. What about the fourth thing you may or may not wonder? That’s private.
