Old Kress Live 12/30/23
Our show started off a little slow in Corpus Christi tonight mostly due to some sports sportsing somewhere in the sportsing universe, but the game ended and the crowd filed in! We played lots of requests, and made a bunch of folks happy. There were some musicians in the front for a while who came out to support us, which was really nice to have them there. We will be back at Old Kress Live next Friday and Saturday night, so come join us!

Moonshine & Ale 12/28/23
Heather, Pancho and I didn’t know it before, but we were happily surprised to see Julia Chisholm from Boston there to join us for Live Band Karaoke! I grabbed the keytar and played bass all night, and got as close to Pancho as he would let me. Heather kept the show running smoothly from the drums. Julia played piano, and sounded great while singing backups with the karaoke people. It was a packed house, and everyone really had fun singing with us!

Moonshine & Ale 12/23/23
Merry Christmas! We played in New Braunfels with Chris Wallis tonight, and the crowd was in a festive spirit. All of us had fun playing music together! We had the keytar rocking for several tunes tonight, and Heather and I sang a few duets. I really feel lucky being able to play these shows with these people. It’s always fun!

Moonshine & Ale 12/22/23
We had lots of great and off-center requests tonight in New Braunfels.”Cherry Bomb”, “Dancing In The Moonlight” and “Peace Frog” are a few examples. Heather and I swapped instruments every half-hour, and played as many songs as we could before ending at midnight. Thank you to everyone who spent their Friday night with us!

Moonshine & Ale 12/21/23
It was absolutely packed at Live Band Karaoke tonight! Kevin joined Heather and I on stage, and we had some friends in the crowd Who haven’t been to Live Band Karaoke recently, so it was great to hear them sing. We also met a bunch of people who had never been before, and they all told us they would be back regularly! People who know Heather and I know that Moonshine & Ale is a home away from home for us. The staff there is great, and Perry, who has owned it since I began performing there in 2011 is like family to us. Perry let us know this weekend that he has so many different business ventures happening right now that he decided to sell Moonshine & Ale, so tonight, we met Mauricio who is the new owner! Heather and I would like to wish Perry a heartfelt congratulations on building such a successful room, and finding a new owner whose intent is to keep the room functioning as it currently is. I’m sure we will work with Perry again in the near future, and we look forward to getting to know Mauricio throughout the coming years in New Braunfels!

Moonshine Drinkery 12/20/23
We love our Victoria, TX, family! Heather and I are always happy to bring our show back to Moonshine Drinkery. We played a marathon 4-hour show to a full room for a rare Wednesday night gig. We had a flash mob come in to help celebrate a birthday, and we had anniversaries and bachelorettes! The flash mob was fun, and Heather and I got to watch from the stage. I love my job, and I’m so happy other people enjoy what Heather and I do!

The Beltonian Theatre 12/17/23
Our third night (and fourth show) in Belton, TX, was a blast! We had another sold-out show, made some new fans, and saw lots of familiar faces (like the group from our winery show). Heather really is an unbelievably strong and talented performer, and I absolutely love sharing the stage with her. I know no matter what random song I pull out, she is there to back me up, and I do the same for her. The Beltonian is a slightly different type of show from some of the clubs we perform at, because by the nature of the venue, it’s much more of a “listening” crowd, which means I get to perform some tunes like “Vienna” that sometimes gets lost in a club atmosphere. I’m so happy to report that Heather and I will be at The Beltonian once a month through December 2024!

The Beltonian Theatre 12/16/23
Our third show this weekend in Belton, TX, brought some energetic dancers, some people who sang every word with us, and some who were happy to just listen. We had some great requests like “I Was Made For Loving You”, “This Must Be The Place”, “Suddenly Seymour”, and “I Love The Way You Lie”. We played as many songs as time allowed, and we felt great with the crowd. A standing ovation mid-show is always a welcomed honor!

The Beltonian Theatre 12/16/23
Our matinee show was a bunch of fun today in Belton, TX! Heather and I played a 1p-3:30p show full of music the crowd asked us for. Everything from “My Sharona” to “Love Story” to “I’ve Been Everywhere Man” to “All I Want For Christmas” and so many more. After our show, we walked a couple blocks to an area where they had about 40 vendors selling all kinds of things, and people just strolling around with their families and dogs. We met Santa (I know him!) and Mrs Claus while we were waiting for a pizza. It was a fun afternoon, and we’re looking forward to our evening show tonight at 7pm at the Beltonian!
The Beltonian Theatre 12/15/23
We had a sold-out night for our first of four shows in Belton, TX! People were singing and dancing with us all evening. Our glow stick posse showed up (pictured), and it was great to see them again before Christmas. My camera ate all but one photo from the stage, and it was during the preshow. Still cool to see everyone getting ready for the show!

Chapel at Ana Villa 12/14/23
We played a private party in The Colony, TX (just north of Dallas) tonight. Chris Wallis joined on drums while Heather and I performed our dueling pianos show. The people really enjoyed our show, which made us feel great! Before our main show, we played a half-hour of light Christmas music as people came it. By the end of our main show, we had guest singers and dancers. It was a good time!

Moonshine & Ale 12/9/23
We returned to Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels for another awesome Saturday night show! Heather and I were joined on stage by Elisa Carlson (from Chicago) and drummer Ryan Hall. The four of us had fun with all the various requests, and we all performed well together. Elisa is a great musician, and besides piano, she also broke out the fiddle for a few tunes. I jumped on keytar a couple times, and it was fun playing for new people as well as some good friends in the crowd. After the show, Heather and I introduced Elisa to Buc-ee’s, because there’s nothing like it in Chicago!

Greek Bros Oyster Bar 12/8/23
Wow! We had some fun in El Campo, TX, tonight at Greek Bros! Heather, Chris and I played our 9p-midnight show to an enthusiastic crowd. It felt great watching all the people dance and sing throughout the night. Heather and I were talking after the show about how much we love performing at this venue, and how great the crowds always are. Chris was rock-solid on the drums, and it makes me so happy knowing I can just start any tune someone requests and he’ll come in with the perfect beat for it. Heather of course did an amazing job keeping the crowd happy and the energy up. The pre-show meal was excellent, as is everything I’ve eaten at Greek Bros. I’m always happy when we have nights like these!

Moonshine & Ale 12/7/23
My official count of the people in New Braunfels tonight was two-bazillionish. Wassailfest was happening when Heather and I arrived together tonight, and the club was full before we took the stage. Kevin Humphrey joined us for Live Band Karaoke at 8:30p, and we had fun. It was so nice to see some old fans tonight, too! There were several groups who stopped in to say hi and hangout for a bit. I loved it!

Crowson Wines 12/6/23
We performed in Johnson City, TX, at Crowson Wines for their first pizza and wine night. It was a cool, but pleasant Wednesday with temps in the mid-50s, which made playing in their courtyard nice. Heather started off the night on piano, and with a couple of Disney tunes, had a group of youngsters dancing in front with us! We brought some percussion items instead of a full drum kit, and it went well with the evening vibe. After our 5:30p-7:30p show, we made our way over to see the holiday lights around town which never disappoint!

The Crescent Club 12/2/23
We performed in Dallas, TX, for NGP Energy Capital Management (where we were representing NY/NY Dueling Pianos). Heather, Chris and I set up “in the round” on the 17th floor club. After their meal, we performed for about 100 people, where they handed us requests over the bar rail to the dance floor where we were set up. We encouraged a couple of people to take the mic and sing for their colleagues, and they did great! A big thanks to Chris and Heather for all their hard work with our shows this weekend!
