Marriott River Center 2/28/24

We drove to San Antonio tonight to perform a dueling pianos show for a group from Harrison Computers. This was the last night from a four-day conference, so we did our best to make it a fun show for them! They had us set up in-the-round, and we had requests coming at us from all sides during our 2.5 hour show. Heather and I had some great conversations with the people there after we were finished! Thank you to Groove Labs for including us.

Kissing Tree 2/27/24

We performed for the fun people at Kissing Tree in San Marcos, TX, tonight. Heather and I played 3 solid hours of non-stop requests as everyone sang and danced to our songs. They really are a fun group! One of my favorite comments after the show came as lots of people were being very complimentary and saying they can’t wait until we return. A lady said to me, “I liked it, but some of the songs you chose to play, no one here knows.” I said, “Every single song we played was requested by someone in this room.” She said, “Really? You didn’t pick one song?” I said, “No.” Then she looked me in the eye and said, “You’re lazy.” She was just teasing, but we laughed about it all the way home!

The Beltonian Theatre 2/24/24

We had a great crowd for our evening show in Belton, TX, tonight. Lots of fun and unusual requests were sent up, and the people sang and cheered us on through all of them. We played many songs which don’t usually get requested, and it made our show a fun challenge for Heather and I. Everything from “Message In A Bottle” to “Hey Good Lookin’” to “Would You Go With Me” to “I’m Too Sexy” to “Mrs Robinson” to “What’s New, Pussycat?” nearly gave me musical whiplash! Before the show, we walked around downtown a bit, and I found a hidden, painted kindness rock with hearts on it. #BISDrocks I had it on my piano all night, and it made me smile whenever I saw it. Heather sounded amazing throughout all the songs she sang, and I’m so happy the crowd can tell how much we enjoy performing for everyone. We’ll be back at The Beltonian March 30!

The Beltonian Theatre 2/24/24

Heather and I had fun at our matinee show in Belton, TX, this afternoon! We had a bunch of classic rock and country tunes requested. “Runnin’ Down A Dream”, “My Maria”, “Take It Easy”, “Radio Ga Ga”, “La Grange” and “Born To Be Wild” were just a few of the songs we were asked to play. After the show, we headed to a nearby pizza place where I had a delicious salad, and now we’re waiting to take the stage again for our evening show!

Moonshine & Ale 2/13/24

Woo! DanHolmesGroup played a Mardi Gras show in New Braunfels, TX, and it was tons of fun. Bill Ritter (bass) flew in from Indianapolis to play the show with me on keys, Chris Wallis on drums, and Kevin Humphrey on guitar. Christine and Heather were there taking photos of the band and just generally being awesome. It was so great to perform with these fellas again!

The Cove Theater 2/10/24

We returned to Copperas Cove, TX, for a super-fun show! Heather and I were so happy to have the talented Bill Ritter on bass with us. He’s like my brother, and he tries to make it to Texas from Indiana once a year for a visit, and so we just brought him with us to the show. It sounded great having the bass fill out the sound on everyone’s requests. We met several new fans, and had some followers come back to this show. One of our favorite groups who always bring glow sticks was there, and one of their group is deployed to South Korea, so mid-show they FaceTimed him so he could see the show! Other than the torrential rain and thick fog, it was a really nice night.

Moonshine & Ale 2/9/24

Heather and I had a great time together tonight in New Braunfels. She and I click so well on stage that it never feels like work. We played through everyone’s requests, and we kept everyone happy and dancing. I’m so glad to have Heather as my partner!

Moonshine & Ale 2/8/24

Tonight we were joined at Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, TX, by our very special guest bassist Bill Ritter, all the way from Indianapolis! Kevin Humphrey played guitar, I was on keys, and Heather covered the drums for all the singers joining us on stage throughout the night. It was so much fun to be on stage with Bill again. He will be in town through Mardi Gras, Tuesday 2/13, for our full band show at Moonshine & Ale at 7:30p!

Old Kress Live 2/3/24

People had a great time dancing and singing to our show in Corpus Christi tonight. We strangely didn’t have very many requests, but we kept the show upbeat and moving all night. We both picked a few of our favorite tunes to play in between songs the crowd brought up. I’m thankful to have a job and a partner, both of which can change and go with the flow at a moment’s notice. We always bring the fun!

Old Kress Live 2/2/24

Our first of two nights in Corpus Christi went great! We had a bunch of unusual requests, but they were all fun. “What Would You Say” by DMB, “50 Ways To Leave Your Lover” by Paul Simon, and “When A Man Loves A Woman” by Percy Sledge to name a few. Heather is as always a joy to work with, and we’ll be back tomorrow night for more!

Moonshine & Ale 2/1/24

Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels was fun tonight! First, we started by seeing our friend Bill Moore, He was an officer who did security for Moonshine & Ale for several years until a policy change at the sheriff’s department made it so he could no longer work there. We always loved seeing him at the door, and we miss him, so we were happy to see him before the show! We had some great singers, including some band members from other local bands who came to have some fun with us. Once Heather found the camera, my GoPro footage became instantly much better.
