Rockin J Piano Bar 1/23/26

The weather is moving in, but we still had a good crowd in Cedar Park! We had some fans come out for us which is always great. It’s currently about the furthest north we perform every now and then, so a bunch of people who knew us from Belton visit us here. We also had a few birthday parties and just people wanting to have fun before possibly getting stuck inside for a day or two due to icy weather. Hope everyone stays safe!

Moonshine & Ale 1/22/26

Wanna know something weird? Most every week when Heather and I drive to New Braunfels for Live Band Karaoke, we leave roughly about the same time and drive 20-25 minutes south to our exit and pull up to the first stop light behind the same car. Every week. The same car. It has a vanity plate, so it’s easy for us to remember, but it’s strange that no matter how much we vary our time by stopping at a gas station or navigating traffic, we always end up behind that car at that light nearly every week. Anyway, Live Band Karaoke was fun as always, and Pancho is a treat to work with. We will be in Cedar Park for a Friday night piano bar show at Rockin J. Come see us!

Kissing Tree 1/20/26

Now it’s Tuesday night, so we played a dueling pianos show for the fun folks at Kissing Tree in San Marcos. Heather and I get to perform there a few times each year, and we love performing for them. We’ve made a bunch of new fans and friends there over the years, and it’s great when they all show up to dance and sing with us. We’ll be back at the end of February, so see you then!

Moonshine & Ale 1/17/26

Alex Lugwa joined us on drums in New Braunfels tonight for our show. Heather and I played through tons of requests and pulled the keytar out for a bunch of songs. It was a cold night, but we kept it hot all night!

Moonshine & Ale 1/16/26

I love gigging with Heather. We click, and the crowd always notices. Some of the requests tonight were ones we haven’t played in years (or ever), and it was fun dusting off those tunes during our show. We laughed pretty much non-stop all night, so my face kinda hurts now. Gotta get some rest before having more fun tomorrow night at Moonshine & Ale!

Moonshine & Ale 1/15/26

We had a good time at Live Band Karaoke last night. It wasn’t super busy, but we had a steady stream of singers up on stage with us. Heather and I will be back for piano bar both Friday and Saturday this weekend, so come see us!

Rockin J Piano Bar 1/10/26

Heather and I played in Cedar Park, TX, tonight. It was pretty full all night long which was great considering it was cold and a football game was going on. People still sang along with us and sent up a bunch of requests. We had fun, and we’ll be back on Friday 1/23/26!

Moonshine & Ale 1/8/25

I'll say it as many times as I can. I love playing shows with Pancho and Heather! We performed for Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels tonight, as we do every Thursday. They are so talented and fun to perform with. The people singing with us always have fun, which means we're doing something right. Thanks to all the people who came out to celebrate their birthdays with us tonight. We had a bunch of you in the room!

Moonshine & Ale 1/3/26

A long stretch of being super busy concluded with our show tonight in New Braunfels. A couple weeks ago, I played three shows with Heather, and then drove to New Orleans, Nashville, Indianapolis, Memphis, Little Rock, Dallas, before returning home for our New Year’s Eve show this past Wednesday, Live Band Karaoke Thursday, and finally lsat night and tonight’s shows wrapped up my crazy schedule. Happy New Year to everyone, and thanks to Josh Spence for drumming with us tonight.

Moonshine & Ale 1/2/26

We had a good crowd tonight in New Braunfels. Heather and I both sang Happy Birthday to about a half dozen people throughout the night, and had a lot of off center requests. Led Zeppelin to Hinder and everything in between hit the piano tonight. It was cool at the end of the show to meet a couple of people who told me they’ve been coming to see me perform at Moonshine & Ale since 2011 (back when it was called AJ’s Ale House). I can’t believe I’m into my 15th year performing in New Braunfels!

Moonshine & Ale 1/1/26

First show of the year means it took me all of my strength to type ‘26 instead of ‘25 today. Pancho, Heather and I backed up lots of singers tonight at Live Band Karaoke. We had a full room all night, and lots of familiar faces. It was a great way to start out the new year!

Moonshine & Ale 12/31/25

Happy New Year! We rang it in right in New Braunfels, TX. The club was full, and we had tons of requests. We played right up to midnight, and sang auld lang syne together to end out the night. Heather and I have really enjoyed all of the shows we’ve played together in ‘25, and all the new fans we’ve made. Even tonight, people were telling us how much they loved our show, and how they will follow us through ‘26!

Other Bar On Market 12/20/25

Josh Holmes hired us to come perform a show with him in Channelview, TX, for a special pre-holiday show. Heather and I were super excited to see his sister, Anna, at the show when we started unloading. We had a bunch of requests in the smoky bar out east of Houston. The people were really nice, and it was a good mix of songs. We played an 8p-midnight show, and toward the end of the show, Heather’s husband, Chance, and my wife, Christine, showed up in a rental car because after loading out, Christine and I were heading to New Orleans while Chance and Heather headed back to San Marcos with our gear. Before we were able to leave, we realized my truck keys had gone missing, so we spent about a half-hour looking before we tracked them down. It was great to see everyone together, and now we are on our way to Indianapolis for Christmas (with a quick detour through New Orleans for a day). Heather and I will be back together for our New Year’s Eve show in New Braunfels at Moonshine & Ale!

Moonshine Drinkery 12/19/25

We drove to Victoria, TX, tonight to perform our Live Band Karaoke show for our friends at Moonshine Drinkery. Heather, Pancho and I had so much fun, as always, and realized how many familiar faces we had in the crowd from our previous couple of LBK shows there. I’m glad we had one more show there before the holidays, because we were able to bring some candy in for the staff. Merry Christmas, everyone!

Moonshine & Ale 12/18/25

Our Live Band Karaoke before Christmas was tonight in new Braunfels, and we had lots of fun  Pancho, Heather, and I played for bunches of people, some with Christmas parties, a birthday celebration, and so much more. We’re playing our Live Band Karaoke show tomorrow (Friday) night in Victoria, TX, so you’ve got one more chance to sing with us before Christmas!

Moonshine & Ale 12/13/25

I had a bunch of fun at our show in New Braunfels tonight with Heather, and with drummer Ryan Hall. We had a great crowd and they were bringing us everything from “Brown Eyed Girl” to “Man I Feel Like A Woman” and everything in between. My face hurts from laughing all night.

Moonshine & Ale 12/12/25

We played in New Braunfels tonight. Heather and I had a bunch of people celebrating things, so we did our best to make their night great. It was a fun show, and I’m looking forward to playing with Heather again tomorrow night in New Braunfels!

Moonshine & Ale 12/11/25

My buddy Tameca Jones popped in to sing with us tonight at Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, and then our friend Andrae Blissett came in right after her. They both are great musicians in the area, and I love that we got to share some stage time with them. We had many great singers with us tonight, and I enjoyed playing another fun show with Pancho and Heather. Heather and I will be back to take requests Friday and Saturday this weekend, so come see us!

Rockey’s Piano Bar 12/10/25

I helped out by playing drums tonight in an emergency fill-in situation with piano player David Lee in Round Rock, Texas. I usually keep Wednesdays open, but I figured it was an early show and it was with David, who I haven’t seen in a while. We played for about an hour and a half to a small realtors get together. It was nice to play with David again!

Moonshine & Ale 12/6/25

Heather and I played our show tonight in New Braunfels with our guest drummer, Alex Lugwa. Alex always jumps in and makes transitions easy and fun. Heather of course sounds great all the time, and she had so many people loving her voice again tonight. I was approached by several people on our break who just wanted to tell me how much fun they were having and how much they love our show. Heather and I take a lot of pride in what we do, and it makes us feel great when we get such positive feedback throughout the night.
