Matt Wilson and I performed a Howl-2-Go show this evening in San Antonio, TX, with some stage set up help from Troy Stone. First, I performed a half-hour of cocktail music pre-dinner, then Matt and I traded tunes after the dessert was served. We had the folks up on the stage, dancing before the end of the evening! This was my first dueling show with Matt, and it was a pleasure to work with him. He and I rotate through several other venues together, so now I have a good sense of his excellent performance style!

Muddle 4/26/14
Muddle in Waco, TX was crazy tonight! Chris Wallis was on the drums, and it was his first time at that club. The crowd's taste in music was the most diverse I have ever seen. What was the first request of the night? "Play Something Sweet" by Allen Toussaint. What other songs were requested? "The Stranger" by Billy Joel, "99 Red Balloons" by Nina, "Mess Around" by Ray Charles, "I Try" by Macy Gray, and so many more, I lost track of them. We ended the evening with "New York, New York" because this was the last night for (bartender) Jasmyn before she moves to New York City. We'll miss her!

AJ's Ale House 4/25/14
Chris Wallis is back! Chris Wallis is back! Tonight in New Braunfels, TX, I performed an all-request show with Chris, after he'd moved to and now from Oklahoma. He's back, and sounding great! The crowd was with us every step of the way, and I had fun getting to catch up with with my buddy Chris. Chris Wallis is back!!!

JW Marriott 4/24/14
Tommy Raye and I performed in San Antonio, TX, tonight for the people from Edward Jones. We were representing Howl-2-Go dueling pianos, while elsewhere in the foyer there were fortune tellers, foosball tables, pool tables, photo stations and a line of kneeling message chairs with a half-dozen masseuses. We performed for an hour, and the crowd loved us! Troy Stone was with me to help with set up & tear down, and he took some pictures for us, too!

Angry Elephant 4/18/14
Mikey Gammon and I performed this evening in San Antonio, Texas. We actually played many songs together for the first time tonight. At one point, we had a girl celebrating her birthday, and Mikey took over singing responsibilities to give her her favorite song! Ironic, don't you think? I mean, the song, not the situation.

AJ's Ale House 4/17/14
My Thursday night all-request piano show at AJ's just seems to be getting better and better. After the first half-hour, the crowd grew to eventually fill the bar, and they kept the requests flowing all night. Everything from "Brandy" to "Land Down Under" was requested & played. Thanks, New Braunfels, TX, for another great night!

San Antonio Convention Center 4/15/14
Tonight's show took place in San Antonio, TX, in a giant ballroom at the convention center. The company, Tyler Connect, hosted the event with Ryan Teter and I representing Howl At The Moon for a dueling pianos show just before the Grammy award-winning band Asleep At The Wheel took the stage. I must say, the crowd was excellent! They sang along to everything, and the requests overflowed our pianos. Ryan did a great job, and it was a truly fun event!

Muddle 4/12/14
I had a great night in Waco, TX with Roger Glenn, as we performed our request show to a full club. I started the evening out by having dinner with a childhood friend, Autumn, who is staying in a (somewhat) nearby town for work. She headed to the club with me and got to experience the friendliest bar staff around as Roger and I dug into the tunes people asked me to play. The crowd was singing and dancing until the end of the night!

AJ's Ale House 4/11/14
The crowd was in a good mood tonight at AJ's in New Braunfels, TX, although it did take them a while to fully get into the show. Once they were with us, Roger Glenn (drums) and I kept up with their requests for songs and birthday wishes. Roger sounded great, and the crowd left with smiles on their faces!

AJ's Ale House 4/10/14
Another three-hour all-request piano show went great this evening in New Braunfels, Texas! I had a couple come in who had just recently moved to the area, and they made it a point to tell me it would be back in to see my show. I also had several tables of regulars giving me brand-new requests, which was fun. The oddest part about this evening was at one point, the bar, in unison, started bringing me every Kenny Loggins song they could think of. So I went to the danger zone, got footloose, and you know, I'm alright.

AJ's Ale House 4/5/14
AJ's in New Braunfels, TX, was packed as Brad Evilsizer and I played our request show. There were a truly amazing amount of requests brought up to my piano tonight, and they ranged from Cyndi Lauper to Metallica to Johnny Cash to Robin Thicke. We played a solid 3+ hours, and the crowd was fantastic right up to the last note!

Taxi's Piano Bar 4/4/14
Taxi Haskell and I had a great time performing in San Marcos, TX for the people who were out to have a good evening of singing on a Friday night. We even had surprise guests Danny Smith and Brad Evilsizer show up after their show in New Braunfels, and they both sat in to do a few tunes with us. Another fun night for sure!

AJ's Ale House 4/3/14
The show tonight in New Braunfels, TX went great, even when an unexpected guest showed up. About halfway through the night, a bat got inside the building and decided to fly around in circles above us. We propped the front door open, and after the little guy buzzed my ear, he flew out during "Desperado". We closed the door, and saw him try to get back inside a couple more times, but he couldn't. Somewhere in the night, there is a drunk bat singing the rest of Desperado.
