Greek Brothers 7/30/16

Eventful evening last night for many reasons! First off, the show in El Campo, TX for Howl2Go (Howl At The Moon) was tons of fun with my partners Gray Gregson (piano) and Chris Wallis (drums). The crowd was very energetic and interactive, and we had a great time at the show.
Before the show, on our two-and-a-half hour drive in from San Marcos, we stopped for gas and discovered that my trailer had blown a bearing and was so hot that we couldn't get close to it. We were fortunate that we saw it when we did, or else it could've been much worse. The kind staff at Greek Brothers let us borrow their trailer to get to the show! Thank you to everyone who helped us in making the night so successful, even with trailer issues!

Moonshine & Ale 7/29/16

New Braunfels was packed with new people tonight for the show I performed with Mikey Gammon! We also had some old friends come out to visit us, which was great. Mikey was a maniac about drumming for his Red Bull, and he eventually got his wings. I just tried to keep up with requests, and everyone left happy. The end.

Gourdough's Public House 7/28/16

Casey Cotton is a piano player from North Carolina, and I drummed for him tonight in Austin. He is a great player, and I had a great time performing with him! This was his first time in Texas, and he knocked it out of the park. I look forward to hopefully having him back to play a few shows in Texas again soon! Thanks, Casey!

Howl At The Moon 7/26/16

Man, this month is flying by! I spent my Tuesday night in San Antonio for my temporary stint inside the fun dueling piano club on the riverwalk. I'm helping out at least through August, and so far, I've had a great time with the talented crew. Ed, Adrian, Katie and Ryan made the night easy for me!

Howl At The Moon 7/25/16

It was a dark and stormy night in San Antonio...but I took requests from the crowd anyway. A group from Kansas was in the club partying, and they stuck around all night to dance. It was great to play with Heather, Mark and Tommy!

Howl At The Moon 7/24/16

I drove to San Antonio to perform with Heather, Mark, and Ryan this evening. I played piano, took requests, and I helped out during band sets I playing drums and bass, just like the rest of the group does. I'll be back tomorrow night to do it again!

Moonshine & Ale 7/23/16

Wow! Tonight was packed in New Braunfels. Joe Resnick (drums) and I entertained the masses by playing everyone's requests. My wife was in attendance with a couple friends, and they witnessed the chaos first hand. Endless birthdays and bachelorettes graced the stage, sometimes two at a time to get them all in! Great show with the super-talented Joe!

Gourdough's Public House 7/22/16

Chris Wallis and I threw down tonight in Austin! We took bunches of requests and played our three-hour set. Just before we finished, management came up and let us know that the musician who was supposed to go on immediately after us was in a car accident and wouldn't be in, so they asked us for another hour. So, we took requests for another hour before we headed home!

Howl At The Moon 7/19/16

I drove down to San Antonio on a humid Tuesday night to play a dueling piano show in a club that isn't afraid of air-conditioning. I was joined tonight on stage by Tommy, Adrian, Katie, and Ryan. We had a nice sized crowd, and they kept us busy with request all evening. My favorite request was for "Old Time Rock 'n' Roll" by Michael McDonald, so I sang "Old Time Rock 'n' Roll"  like Michael McDonald.

Howl At The Moon 7/18/16

Huge, wall-to-wall crowd tonight in San Antonio! Dueling pianos is always a highlight for folks on the riverwalk, and tonight was no different. The phrase board was extremely active, as all the coaches from a convention tried to outdo each other. I'll be back tomorrow night for more!

Howl At The Moon 7/17/16

I just finished another fun & busy night with the Howl crew in San Antonio. Some kind of coach convention was happening downtown, so the club was packed with sports guys. And approximately three women.

Gourdough's Public House 7/16/16

Austin, TX welcomed Eddie Baty and I by giving us a bunch of requests in between bites of doughnuts. I had a good time playing with Eddie! We did tons of tunes during our three-hour set, and then let another piano player, John, come up to finish out the night. My favorite part was when a two-year-old asked us to play the ABC song, and as we did, he sang the whole thing with thunderous applause from the crowd afterwards!

Moonshine & Ale 7/15/16

Great crowd tonight in New Braunfels! Mikey Gammon and I did our three-hour set to a bunch of tourists and some old friends, too. Played a fun request of "Sledgehammer", and a bunch of other random tunes, too. I'll be back at Moonshine & Ale next Saturday. See you then!

Shack In The Back 7/13/16

Howl2Go (Howl At The Moon) sent us off to do a show in Odessa, TX tonight! Gray Gregson, Chris Wallis (drums) and I performed for 500+ people in this great outdoor venue. The place was packed with people ready to party! We gave them out all for three hours, and then headed to our hotel for a few hours sleep before heading home early in the morning. Thanks, Odessa!

Howl At The Moon 7/11/16

Adrian, Heather, Mark, and I played together tonight in San Antonio. It was a good Monday night crowd, and we had lots of random requests. Mark and I dueled, which was a good time. Now, at 2:40am, I'm headed home to run 9 miles before bedtime!

Howl At The Moon 7/10/16

I returned to San Antonio tonight to take requests with the crew at Howl. For a Sunday, the place was packed! Mostly standard sing-along type requests, but the crowd stayed on their feet dancing to everything we played!

Muddle 7/9/16

Chris Wallis and I carpooled up to Waco, TX this evening for some request piano-on-drum action. We had so many requests, I was amazed we got through them all. Singing and dancing took place all night, and Chris and I drove home with the knowledge that we made a good crowd happy!

Moonshine & Ale 7/8/16

Good times in New Braunfels with Mikey Gammon (drums) tonight! We had a consistently growing crowd, and by the end of the night, it was standing room only. We took tons of requests, and got lots of compliments at the end of the night!

Grind House Coffee and Cocktails 7/7/16

Kyle, TX saw the return of my piano show tonight, with the addition of a camera on my hands just for fun. The people in the room enjoyed being able to see my fingers tickling the faux-ivorys. I had some fun requests tonight, and I'm happy I was able to make some folks smile!

Howl At The Moon 7/5/16

Tonight in San Antonio, I dueled with Adrian, and Ed dueled Katie. We had a laid-back crowd. My favorite request was for George Harrison's "Got My Mind Set On You". I'll be back next Sunday night for more!

Howl At The Moon 7/4/16

Happy Independence Day! I spent my 4th in San Antonio taking requests from the crowd. Heather, Mark, and Tommy were my cohorts for the night, and it was good to play with them. I'll return tomorrow night for more song-playing!

Howl At The Moon 7/3/16

The riverwalk in San Antonio was bustling tonight. Tommy, Heather, Mark and I took requests from the masses, and generally kept the party going. I had a bunch of folks tell me they were in town for a few a days and they'd be back to see me tomorrow! Yay!

Moonshine & Ale 7/2/16

A fantastic crowd filled the club in New Braunfels tonight! Mikey Gammon and I played a huge swath of songs, from Kansas to Ginuwine, we played them all. I loved that our special guest, Tiny Tambourine, made an appearance several times tonight. Pretty sure I'm going to use that as Mikey's stage name.

Gourdough's Public House 6/30/16

We had a good crowd tonight in Austin! Joe Resnick played drums while I took requests from the audience. I brought a camera with me, and we broadcast my hands up on the screen behind my head, which the crowd loved. Thanks to Joe for making the evening easy!
