Barriba Cantina 9/27/16

Katie Clasen and I played a Howl2Go (Howl At The Moon) show last night in San Antonio for Barriba Cantina's 5 year anniversary party. Jay Russell Wimberly did the set up & tear down for us, and did great for his first venture out with Howl2Go! I had fun playing with Katie at this outdoor event. Congrats to Barriba Cantina on 5 years!

Rockey's Piano Bar 9/24/16

I played a second night in a row with my buddy, Chris Wallis, on drums. We rode up to Round Rock together to take requests from the crowd. So many songs were requested that we couldn't get through them all by the end of the night. Of course, there was much singing and dancing. Thanks to Chris for a couple nights of great shows!

Gourdough's Public House 9/23/16

Ooooowee! Fun times with Chris Wallis in Austin, TX tonight. I know it's been a good night when I come home with my cheeks hurting from smiling so much. Chris' folks & his brother were in the crowd, so I had a chance to meet them on break. I'm glad they made it out to see their son, the greatest living drummer ever to grace the stage tonight at Gourdough's.

Gourdough's Public House 9/22/16

Joe Resnick and I performed in downtown Austin tonight. We played about 80% of tunes which we had never played together before. The crowd was throwing us curve balls, but we hit most of them outta the park. "Isn't She Lovely" was my favorite request of the evening.

Howl At The Moon 9/18/16

Sunday night on the riverwalk in San Antonio was not too busy, but I still had a good time. I worked with Ashleigh, and Tommy & Heather paired up on our off-shifts. This is my last shift here for a little while (I was just filling in until they had enough crew again). I'll be back now & then to fill in, but for now, I'm gonna sleep a little.

Moonshine & Ale 9/17/16

Tommy Raye played piano in New Braunfels tonight while I drummed, and Pancho played guitar. There was a good crowd, and even a newlywed couple hanging out with us. I enjoy drumming. Maybe I should retire from piano and just drum!

Moonshine & Ale 9/16/16

People were getting freaky tonight in New Braunfels. Chris Wallis and I played our three-hour set to a diverse crowd. I like playing shows with Chris because no matter what I throw at him, he always puts a groovy beat to it. We played lots of tunes, and all was well. The end.

Howl At The Moon 9/15/16

Thursday night in San Antonio was pretty busy, and I had a good time working with the crew at Howl. Tonight was my first time working with Ashleigh Pike. She is the newest member of the riverwalk team, and I enjoyed getting to work with her!

Howl At The Moon 9/12/16

That was one of the best Monday night crowds in recent memory in San Antonio! Tommy, Mark & I (with some drumming help from Katy) took requests from a packed house and made some good money doing it, too. I play piano for a living. Yes!

Howl At The Moon 9/11/16

Mark, Michael, Heather and I played to the riverwalk crowd tonight in San Antonio. It was a good Sunday crowd! I was paired up with Mark, but of course, I had the privilege of playing with everyone throughout the course of the night. I'll return tomorrow for some more fun!

Moonshine & Ale 9/10/16

Holy moly! Joe Resnick and I had an endless stream of people celebrating everything tonight in New Braunfels! Bachelors, bachelorettes, birthdays, anniversaries, and newlyweds all graced our stage (plus a bagpiper who played "Amazing Grace" in honor of 9/11). My favorite part of the night was a couple celebrating their golden years by finding new love with each other. Freshly engaged, they danced to "All Shook Up" while the crowd sang to them and took lots of photos. Long live love!

Gourdough's Public House 9/9/16

I played drums tonight in Austin with Matteo Ellis on piano. This was my first show with Matteo, and it was great to play with him. I enjoy getting to meet and work with such great talent regularly! We helped the crowd celebrate a couple birthdays, and a bachelorette made it on to the stage, as happens regularly! Thanks, Matteo, for a fun evening!

Gourdough's Public House 9/8/16

I had a great time in Austin tonight with Mr. Talent himself, Chris Wallis. We were making each other laugh all night long. The crowd kept us busy with lots of odd tunes like "Walk The Dinosaur" and "Kokomo". We dedicated Kokomo to all those Indiana folks with Kokomo tramp stamps.

Howl At The Moon 9/5/16

After I saw Suicide Squad at Alamo Drafthouse with my wife, I headed to San Antonio to labor on Labor Day with Tommy and Mark. It was a pretty slow night, so I played lots of tunes I don't usually get a chance to do. Now I'm headed home for a much needed rest!

House Of Blues 9/4/16

Danny Smith and I traveled to Houston, TX tonight, representing Howl At The Moon (Howl2Go) to perform in the Foundation Room at House Of Blues for Julia Danziger's bat mitzvah. After our very first song, the fire alarms went off in the room, but it was a false alarm. After it was shut off, the crowd got involved with Danny and I, and we were giving out cards left and right to folks wanting us at their events! Thanks, Danny, for a great night!

Gourdough's Public House 9/3/16

I had one of the best nights so far in Austin at my favorite doughnut burger joint! It's always a treat to play with Chris Wallis, and he was on it tonight. We had a packed house all evening, and they were requesting a diverse selection of tunes. By the third set, things got interesting as the club filled with folks dressed up in random fantasy costumes. It was a good time indeed.

Moonshine & Ale 9/2/16

It felt good to stretch out musiciacally tonight in New Braunfels with Mikey Gammon on drums. We played lots of tunes, many "first timers" for me. I was feeling adventurous, and I'm glad Mikey went right along with me!
