Darwin’s Piano Bar 12/29/19
My favorite shows are always with Heather! We played on 6th Street in Austin, TX, for a bunch of people out to have fun on a Sunday night. We made several new fans and gave out lots of info about booking us for private events in the new year, and the bar even had us perform over time because the crowd was enjoying us so much. It is hard to overstate how happy and relieved I am to constantly be performing with one of my best friends. This was our final show of 2019 together, and I’m super excited for 2020 and all the good times Heather and I have planned together!

Rockey’s Piano Bar 12/28/19
We performed in Round Rock, Texas, tonight for our first show together there. I’ve been excited to get our show in for a while, and the timing lined up great for tonight. Heather is a great friend and an amazing performer, and I’m always happy to share the stage with her. People from the crowd came up after our show and commented on our great chemistry on stage, and told us that we were one of the best acts they’ve seen.

Rockey’s Piano Bar Houston 12/27/19
I drove to the Houston area tonight for my show with drummer Calvin Parker. This was my first show with Calvin, and he is a solid player. The crowd brought up lots of classic rock, and they were willing to dance, so I kept them on the floor as much as I could. We even had a guest cowbell player while I sang “Love Shack” to her. Now, I’m heading back to my house, which is about a three-hour drive, because tomorrow night, I will be performing with the great Heather Ray at Rockey’s in Round Rock, Texas! That will be a fun show!

Moonshine & Ale 12/26/19
Thanks to Pancho and Heather for helping keep the Live Band Karaoke on track tonight in New Braunfels. We had a ton of requests, and I had to keep the show flowing on drums with the click track. Heather kept me smiling from the keyboards even when the show was getting overwhelming. Pancho played guitar as great as always and impressed everyone. Lots of fun people sang songs with us, and we had three times as many requests to sing than we had time for. Thanks to everyone for hanging out with us!

The 409 Club 12/23/19
Heather Ray and I took our show back to El Campo, TX, to perform at a private Christmas party for Mark’s Machine Co. We played our 2+ hour dueling pianos show for all their employees and family members. It is always fun to play with Heather, and the crowd responded well to show. This year, they’re celebrating 40 years in business! Thanks to Mark’s Machine Co for having us out, and Merry Christmas!

Moonshine & Ale 12/22/19
Our “Music Of The Beatles” show went fantastic tonight in New Braunfels! We had a packed house for our three-hour, all Beatles show. These fellas are true musicians. Brett Cline held down the bass, Cameron Martin was on drums, Pancho Garza was on electric guitar, Phillip Henderson played acoustic, and I was on keys. I had so many compliments about our show, it was humbling. My favorite was from an obvious Beatle fan who sat in the front and sang every song with us. She came up after the show to tell me that she follows a Beatles tribute act and a couple of bands that do Beatles nights regularly, and we were by far the best she’s heard. It was really great to share the music with a room full of people who appreciate it equally!

Moonshine & Ale 12/21/19
John Tuck and I shared piano duties tonight in New Braunfels, and the awesome Heather Ray covered drums. It was cool to work with John again. He’s one talented performer! The crowd was full of brides and birthday girls, and we had a steady stream of them on stage throughout the evening. Heather and I had photographer Ed Diaz come take some shots for us tonight for our website and promo material, and just from the small preview at the club, I’m super excited to be able to share them with the world very soon. I’ll be back tomorrow night at Moonshine & Ale with a full band to perform three hours of the Beatles music!

Greek Bros Oyster Bar 12/20/19
What a fun night in El Campo, TX, tonight! Legendary drummer Chris Wallis joined Heather Ray and I for our big bi-annual show at the delicious restaurant known as Greek Bros. Besides getting to eat great food and hang out with some of my best friends, we performed a ton of great music the people requested. We had some friends and family come out to the show, which was great to be able to hang out with them before we played. Towards the end of the night as Heather was powerfully singing a tune by Adele, the PA in the venue completely shut down, so we said Heather’s voice was too big for that PA to handle! It is a true joy to perform with Heather and Chris.

Hotel ZaZa 12/14/19
This was an interesting one. Heather and I drove to downtown Dallas, TX, to perform a dueling pianos show (representing Felix and Fingers) for an after-party event, where we performed two hours for a late-night crowd, from 12a-2a. They had a theme of ice from Narnia, so everything was blue and white. We performed on top of a covered hot tub, and the guests danced on top of a covered pool. There was a band on before us, and stilt walkers roamed throughout the party. My favorite moment was when while Heather was performing, a woman from the crowd came up and asked me if my hair was real. I let her touch it, and immediately afterwards, bald gentleman said I was showing off. There’s never a dull moment when Heather and I are together.

The Station 12/13/19
Heather Ray and I took All Request Piano to McKinney, TX, tonight, and made each other laugh all night long! We performed for Assured Management’s holiday party. They were a great crowd and gave us tons of songs to play all evening long. I played a bunch of random tunes like the Theme from “Arthur”, “Take It On The Run” “Come Monday”, “Last Christmas”, and “Christmastime Is Here”. I’m so happy we get to play great shows together. Heather’s the best!

Wingate Conference Center 12/11/19
The ladies at the Round Rock New Neighbors meeting danced a bunch this afternoon while I played for their holiday party! It’s a fun group to perform for, and this was my second year to do so. I ate lunch with them before I took the stage from 12:15p-1:15p. Fleetwood Mac, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bruno Mars, and a bunch of Christmas tunes were all requested and played. I also was confirmed for next year’s event before I left the building, so I’ll see the ladies again then!
Darwin’s Pub 12/10/19
I teamed up with my old buddy Roger Glenn in Austin, Texas, for a show on 6th street. We played some unusual requests this evening, mostly just left-of-center classic rock tunes. It was fun to hang out with Roger again. He’s a solid drummer and a heck of a nice guy. Thanks to our international crowd for keeping us on our toes tonight!

Darwin’s Pub 12/8/19
I’m happy to report that Heather Ray and I successfully made it through an extremely tiring weekend, leaving only great vibes in our wake. We played in Austin on 6th Street on a busy Sunday night with an endless stream of requests. This weekend, we traveled over 700 miles for shows! I’m grateful to have such a good friend and talented performer like Heather in my life. She and my wife are good friends, and before our show, she came to brunch at Root Cellar with my parents for their last meal in Texas with us before traveling back home to Indiana. A good partner makes all the difference in the world for me, and I hope to continue performing with Heather for years to come!

Pedrotti’s Ranch 12/7/19
San Antonio Eye held their holiday party in Helotes, TX, tonight, and Heather Ray and I performed our dueling piano show (representing NY/NY Dueling Pianos). We did a two-hour show for an extremely appreciative crowd, and immediately following us was Mr. P, Master Hypnotist. Our show was lots of fun, with the crowd participating all the way through. After we finished, we were approached by many people giving us compliments, but my favorite was by a woman who told us we were one of the best shows she had experienced. Mr. P took over when we finished, and amazed the crowd by making volunteers believe they were missing their bellybuttons, or thinking they were too hot or cold, and various other scenarios. He even made one woman believe Heather was J Lo! It was a fun night.

The Adolphus Hotel 12/6/19
Heather Ray and I performed our dueling pianos show in Dallas, TX, tonight for the Spirit Realty Holiday Party, (representing Felix and Fingers). After our 4-hour load in and set up due to the long, maze-like hallways we had to navigate under the hotel to arrive at the elevators which took us to the appropriate room, we put on our sparkliest clothes and began our show. This holiday party had a disco theme, so there were people in 70s garb all over the ballroom. Since it was a holiday party, so we naturally had requests for Christmas music, as well as disco. Directly in front of the stage, they had a casino night set up with people shooting dice and playing cards. There also was a karaoke DJ set up off to the side of the stage for people to sing along with at certain points throughout the night. The crowd had a great time dancing to all the tunes Heather and I played. I’m so glad I was performing with Heather again tonight because we team up so well!

Moonshine & Ale 12/5/19
Wassailfest was happening in New Braunfels, TX, when I arrived for Live Band Karaoke. Hundreds of people filled the streets and businesses, and Moonshine & Ale was packed. Andrae, Mark and I heard a bunch of great singers as we provided the music for them to sing to. We finished up at midnight, and now I’m headed to Dallas for tomorrow night’s show with Heather Ray!

Rockey’s Piano Bar 11/30/19
I paired up for a show in Round Rock, TX, with Mikey Gammon tonight. The crowd started off strong and grew stronger all night, so much so that we ended up performing a full hour longer than we originally planned. I had a bunch of people ask when I’d be back and tell me how much they enjoyed the night. It’s good to be loved!
