Darwin’s Pub 2/26/19

Joe Resnick and I performed in downtown Austin this evening. Before the show, I met up with my wife for some dinner and a little together-time. I enjoy being able to not only perform with great musicians regularly, but also that my shows sometimes allow for impromptu dates with my wife. The show went great and dinner was delicious, so I consider that a big win for the night!

The Lodge At Cypress Falls 2/25/19

I spent 5p-7p in Wimberley, TX, playing a whole bunch of my original music and my favorite New Orleans classics with guest guitarist Pancho Garza. This was the first show Pancho has played my originals, and he did a fantastic job! We had fun just stretching out our musicial chops for a couple hours. After the show, we headed to New Braunfels to a rehearsal for this Sunday’s Led Zeppelin Tribute show at Moonshine & Ale. It was a long, fun, music-filled day with a whole bunch of great musicians! 

Moonshine Drinkery 2/23/19

I love performing with Heather! We started our show in Victoria, TX, at 9:30p like always, and I swear five minutes later, it was midnight. We had great requests to play this evening, and we were making each other laugh all night. We swapped instruments for the last few songs, and then talked with some fans about private parties! 

The White Horse 2/21/19

What a good crowd we had in Austin, Texas, tonight for The Governors! I like performing with this band. Even if I’ve had an off-day, they can put me right back on. Chris and Doug locked the drums and bass together tightly, which let Sean, Jeremy and me lay pedal steel, guitar, and keys over easily. I sang a few originals, as did Jeremy, while the majority of the band-fronting was done by Doug. Chris even sang a tune! Fun night with great dancers!

Darwin’s Pub 2/18/19

Joe Resnick joined me for my second of two Monday night gigs. The crowd at Darwin’s was throwing us nothing but curve balls tonight, but we hit them all. Some examples of interesting requests tonight include “Eastbound And Down”, “L.A. Woman”, “Baby Love”, “Business Time”, “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, “St. James Infirmary”, “Amos Moses”, “Do It Again”, “Memphis Soul Stew”, “Hard To Be Humble”, and many more. Interesting! 

The Lodge At Cypress Falls 2/18/19

On this fair Monday night, Kevin Humphrey joined me at my show in Wimberley, Texas. Since it’s close to Mardi Gras, we played lots of New Orleans classics! The crowd danced and enjoyed all of our music. It’s a fun happy hour show to perform, and I’m really glad that I got a chance to perform with Kevin again. It’s been way too long since the last time we had a chance to make some music together!

Moonshine & Ale 2/16/19

Big crowd tonight in New Braunfels, TX, resulted in possibly the most requests I’ve ever had hit the piano. People were out to enjoy life tonight, so with the help of Joe Resnick and Mike Sueiro, I did my best to entertain them. It was a pleasure to play for this super crowd! I hope they follow me to every show I play! 

Moonshine Drinkery 2/15/19

The great Chris Wallis and I were joined by the ultra-talented Heather Ray on bass tonight in Victoria, TX! I really enjoyed performing as a trio with them. Tonight’s requests were by far some of my favorites I get to play. Lots of Beatles tunes with some random 80s pop and 90s alternative were requested. I played bass a little while Heather did a couple tunes on the piano (after she played a couple tunes on drums). Fun times, indeed!

Happy Valentine’s Day! I played at Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, TX, tonight with Andrae Blissett (drums) and Pancho Garza (guitar). We had all the lovers in the bar tonight! They sang sexy songs like “Jumper”, “Zombie”,  and “Dream On”. It made my heart flutter.

It was a good night in Austin, Texas, tonight! We played from 8:30p-11:30p to people from all over the world. Mikey Gammon was on drums, and the two of us played tons of music. I weighed it. It was tons. 

The Lodge At Cypress Falls 2/11/19

Heather Ray and I played a fun show out in Wimberley, TX, for happy hour show. We played some original tunes and some covers of songs we don’t usually get a chance to play. The two of us swapped between bass and piano a few times, and the folks who were there said they enjoyed it. Heather’s talented, and I’m always glad to share the stage with her.

It was packed in Victoria, TX, tonight! The crowd was thrilled as Chris Wallis, Heather Ray and I played the tunes they requested. It’s rare when crowd sings as loud as they did this evening. We even had a guest singer for a tune, and we extended the show by about 20 minutes! Thanks to Chris and Heather for making my evening so enjoyable!

Danny Smith and I played in New Braunfels, TX, tonight. We were making each other laugh all night. Lots of good tunes hit our piano this evening as we traded off between instruments. Another gig for the books!

Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, TX, was fun tonight with Pancho Garza and Andrae Blissett! We played tons of tunes with random folks from the crowd came up to sing with us. Those two fellas are good musicians, and it’s cool when I get a chance to work with them! 

Darwin’s Pub 2/4/19

I played a Monday night show with Joe Resnick in Austin, Texas, tonight. We had a good crowd from all around the world. Canada, Germany, Sweden, and all over the USA were represented in our crowd. Joe is an amazing musician and an all-around good guy. I’m happy whenever I get the opportunity to work with him!

Ian Lee and I played our happy hour show in Wimberley, Texas, again tonight! I like it when I get a chance to perform with him. We slammed through tons of swing and standard tunes, plus some Beatles songs and original material. This guy’s chops just keep getting better, and I’m glad to be around to witness it. 

Moonshine Drinkery 2/2/19

I had a ton of fun in Victoria, Texas, tonight with Chris Wallis (drums) and Heather Ray (bass)! Lots of great song requests were brought up to the stage, and we slammed through them. I broke out the keytar and did a few tunes before Heather and I swapped instruments, and then she played some drums before heading back to bass. A bunch of our favorite regulars were in the crowd, and they joined us for a picture after the show! My face hurts from smiling so much.

Hailey and I performed in New Braunfels, TX, tonight. We had a solid crowd all evening. For some reason, they were into mostly country, so that’s what we played! It did veer off from time to time, and everyone had fun singing along! I hadn’t worked with Hailey for a while, so it was good to share the stage with her again. 

The White Horse 1/31/19

We had a great crowd in Austin tonight for my gig with The Governors! Sean, Jeremy, Chris, Doug and I played while the big crowd danced. I looked up at one point, and my wife was standing in the crowd, taking photos! I didn’t think she was coming, so it was a good surprise! I like performing with these fellas. Good music, and good friends.
