Corpus Christi Moonshine & Ale 9/28/19

Our third of three nights in Corpus Christi was great! Heather Ray and I made a non-stop effort to keep the party going all night long, and it worked. So many birthday celebrations and special song dedications made the night fly by. Matt joined us on drums and kept the best going great. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love playing with Heather. She rocks, and our show just keeps getting stronger. Plus, we laugh through most of the night, and the crowd feels our joy. I’ll be back in Corpus Christi next week, so until then...
Jellyfish!

Corpus Christi Moonshine & Ale 9/27/19

Corpus Christi was much busier tonight than last night for Heather and I. We were joined by drummer Juan Vargas a couple hours into our show. Before he was there, Heather and I swapped between piano and drums. He was a good drummer, and he kept up with all the randomness that gets thrown our way through the course of the night. Heather’s parents came out to the show, and my wife made it out, too, so it was nice to have them out in the crowd. Christine took some pictures for us, and even captured a moment when I was using Heather’s unicorn fan to cool her down. The keytar made a few apperences, too. Never a dull moment!

Corpus Christi Moonshine & Ale 9/26/19

My nights are so much fun when I get to play with Heather Ray! It’s like we’re the same person bouncing between piano and drums. Thursday night in Corpus Christi, I can honestly say that we started the night with great requests and 100% crowd participation! Heather and I kept cracking each other up, but it all overflowed in crazy laughter when someone in the crowd shouted, “Play ‘September’ by Earth, Wind, and... Water?” We barely made it through the song.

Urban8 Food Court 9/21/19

I’ll tell you, a good team mate can make all the difference in the world. My partner and good friend Heather Ray is so much fun to work with. We played a dueling pianos show in The Colony, TX, tonight and it was a great way to end a long weekend. A group of teenagers were sitting next to the pianos when we started, and they knew every word to every song we played, and they sang loudly! Best start to a night we could’ve asked for. Later, my niece and her husband showed up with a couple of their friends, and it was great having them there. We played a super three-hour show, and I smiled all night. Heather makes my life easier, and I always look forward to our shows together. She’s the best team mate I could ask for!

The Springs 9/20/19

I traveled to Aubrey, TX, tonight to perform a dueling pianos show with drums, representing Felix and Fingers. I was joined by my dueling partner Heather Ray, and a fantastic drummer named Kenneth “K.B.” Benson. The three of us clicked and put on a show for Brooke and Payson’s wedding reception, including some light cocktail hour music before taking requests and getting the people on the dance floor. Everyone told us they had a great time, and the happy couple left in a horse-drawn carriage! Congrats to the newlyweds!

Hurst Conference Center 9/19/19

Tonight in Hurst, Texas, Heather Ray and I played a dueling piano show “in the round” for the Hurst Euless Bedford Chamber Of Commerce Birthday Bash, (representing New York NY Dueling Pianos). We helped raise a bunch of money for the CoC! The show went great, and we had folks lined up to tell us how much they enjoyed our show, and they want us back for future events. There was an auction and dinner before we took the stage, so between our set-up time and our performance time, we had a few hours to kill in the green room. They gave us “Just Water”, which we just drank, because even though the lid was made from sugar cane, Heather found out it wasn’t edible. We took a few Snapchats. Eventually, we found a sign that said the entertainment sponsor was Forest Ridge Funeral Home. After the show, unclaimed gift baskets were carted away in a hearse. I love our shows. You never know what you’ll see.

Darwin’s Pub 9/16/19

It’s been a while since I’ve gotten the opportunity to perform with my buddy, Roger Glenn, but that all changed tonight! We had a lot of requests, especially for a Monday, and people kept telling us how impressed they were by the amount of songs we knew. Roger is a good dude, and I always enjoy the nights we get to perform together!

Darwin’s Pub 9/15/19

Tonight on 6th Street in Austin, Texas, Rich and I took requests from the unusually quiet crowd. They brought us many different songs to play, but did not want to sing along, so it became more of a performance night! Everything from “Dancing In The Dark” to “I Can’t Stop Loving You” was requested. After the show, I walked across the street to hang out with a few friends, where I ended up on stage playing drums just for fun!

Bernhart Winery 9/14/19

Felix and Fingers sent Heather Ray and me to Plantersville, TX, to a fun winery to perform a dueling pianos show from 2p-5p today. The crowd loved our show, and I loved the talent flowing from Heather as we knocked songs back and forth in our musical ping pong. Some of my family made it out to the show, too! My niece, Anna, was celebrating her birthday tonight, so after the show Heather joined us in the celebration at a local Italian restaurant. It was a night of good music, good friends, and good times. The only one missing was my wife, as she was out doing wilderness first aid training to help out at trail races!

Moonshine & Ale 9/13/19

Chh...Chh...Chh.... Haa..Haa..Haa... New Braunfels was weird on a full moon Friday the 13th! Heather Ray and I had a bunch of requests, and we played tons of tunes from 8:30p-midnight, while switching between drums and piano. After the show, I introduced her to Fuego, where she tore up a couple tacos. Yeah!

Moonshine & Ale 9/12/19

We had a good night at live band karaoke once again in New  Braunfels, Texas. “Pancho”, Andrae, and I did our thing and we let the crowd do their thing, and sometimes those things lined up perfectly. I’ll be back tomorrow night to take requests for piano bar with my buddy, Heather Ray!
