Moonshine & Ale 1/30/21

Saturday night in New Braunfels! Our drum and piano show was fantastic tonight. We kept things moving from minute-one at 8pm though 1am. Heather and I are a great team, and we always lock in solid together. We love any chance we get to perform together, and tonight was no different. We swapped between piano and drums until 10p, and Greg joined us on drums. I’m looking forward to next weekend’s shows with Heather! 

Live Stream 1/29/21

We had lots of people tuned in for our Facebook livestream tonight! Heather and I played about 3 hours, and had really great requests like “Go To The Mardi Gras”, “California Dreamin’”, “Georgia” and “Caledonia”. I was happy when some new fans popped up and told us they were looking forward to our upcoming show at Sweet Home Hall on March 6! Heather keeps me laughing, and I enjoy every show I get to play with her!

Moonshine & Ale 1/28/21

In New Braunfels, Heather jumped on keys while I handled drum duties for Live Band Karaoke (with Greg filling in on guitar). We had a lot of singers come though tonight. I enjoyed hearing all the “regulars” doing their favorite tunes, and being surprised when they picked songs they’ve not done with us before. We also had a bunch of new faces, and I enjoyed providing the back beat for them all! 

Quarantine Keys 1/27/21

I played a two-hour show on QK Facebook page tonight. People were watching from Oregon, California, Texas and more. I didn’t get many requests, but I enjoyed running through a bunch of my favorite tunes. I’ll be back next Wednesday for more! 

Live Stream 1/23/21

No matter how many shows Heather and I perform together, it never gets old. She makes me laugh at every show, and she always tries new and challenging things. Even though we didn’t have a ton of people on our stream tonight, the people who were on asked for some great and interesting songs like “Lil Red Riding Hood” and “Susie Q”. We played everything together and laughed our way through the rough spots. My mom asked if I was on pain meds during the livestream, so after we got done, I went and took some. (BTW I had some dental work done this week, so no worries.)

“Bad Company” from Bad Company by Bad Company was my favorite random request tonight in New Braunfels, TX. My awesome partner, Heather, played tons of unusual tunes just like I did when whichever one of us was on the piano. I’m truly happiest when I get to gig with Heather! 

Moonshine & Ale 1/21/21

I played at Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels with Pancho and Greg tonight. There were quite a few people out doing their thing. Pancho and I finally had a chance to use in-ear monitors, and it made things sound so much better. I’m always happy to find ways to improve the show! I’ll be back tomorrow night with my partner Heather for piano bar! 

Live Stream 1/17/21

I played about an hour tonight on Facebook. I only had a few people watching, but we had a good time together. We came up with calling a number out for a drum machine pattern, and whatever beat that number was, I’d find a song to go with it. Primus, America, Roy Orbison and more were performed with a funky beat. Yes! 

Rockin J Piano Bar 1/16/21

We played in Cedar Park, TX, tonight. Heather was on her game tonight, and the crowd was impressed by her (just like I always am). There were a few birthdays which we helped people celebrate, and a bunch of great requests. I had fun with Heather tonight, and I’m so happy we had a great crowd. Hopefully, we’ll be back at Rockin J sometime soon! 

Rockey’s Piano Bar 1/8/21

We played our show in Round Rock, TX, tonight. People were in good spirits and they were requesting songs all night. Heather and I swapped off between piano & drums about every half-hour. The crowd was impressed with our show which always makes me feel warm and fuzzy. Now I get to head home and get a couple hours of sleep so I can catch a plant to go see my wife who I haven’t seen since mid-November! I’m excited!

Moot Music Cafe 1/8/21

Nothing beats spending an afternoon playing music with your friend for a bunch of people all over the world! Heather and I went live on the Moot Music Cafe Facebook page this afternoon and had a great time! Frankie the monkey was there, keeping us entertained as we kept everyone else happy by playing their songs. I even played a couple of original tunes when asked. Heather and I are heading to Round Rock, TX, now to play our evening show!

Moonshine & Ale 1/7/21

Live Band Karaoke tonight went great with my partner Heather by my side! Pancho and Greg filled out the band, and we had a steady parade of singers join us. We had first timers and long-time regulars, and everyone had fun. Thursday nights in New Braunfels are always entertaining! 

Quarantine Keys 1/6/21

Played my Wednesday night show on QK tonight and it was chocked full of Beatles! A good 75% of the show was with some cool, obscure songs by the Fab Four. I did get some other requests, too, including a couple keytar tunes. It was a good show! 

Moonshine & Ale 1/2/21

Heather and I rounded out our awesome weekend together with a show in New Braunfels, TX! The crowd wasn’t doing the rapid-fire request thing like usual, but they still sent up enough to keep us busy from 8:30p-1a. Greg joined us on drums at 10p, which gave me an opportunity to pick up the keytar for some “Sweet Dreams”. We rocked the house and made each other laugh through most of the show. I couldn’t ask for a better partner than Heather! 

Live Stream 1/1/21

Our first show of 2021 was on Facebook for a great group of friends and fans. The comments flying were making Heather and I laugh through our 3-hour show. It was a great way to start off the new year. The keytar made a couple appearances, and fun times were had. Heather and I will be in New Braunfels tomorrow night for another fun show!

Moonshine & Ale 12/31/20

2020 is done! 2020 is done! 2020 is done! Heather and I played New Year’s Eve in New Braunfels. We had bunches of requests, and the show went great (except for when some dude cut the power off for a few minutes). Of course, New Year’s is a time for reflection, but 2020 is one I’d like to forget. That said, Heather is a shiny spot in a bleak year, and I’m so glad I got to ring in 2021 with her on the stage with me. I truly wish everyone a more peaceful and calm 2021, and happy new year to each of you!
