Moonshine & Ale 4/29/21

We performed for Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, TX, tonight. Heather is doing great playing drums to a click track. I’ve done it for years in my studio, but it’s not a super-easy thing to do. I enjoyed hanging out and listening to all of our random singers tonight. We’ll be up in Round Rock for our Friday night piano bar show tomorrow!

Quarantine Keys 4/28/21

I played a couple hours on QK before the hail hit San Marcos. Golf-ball sized chunks fell from the sky and our power blinked off for a few minutes, but that was long after I finished taking requests on the livestream. I’ll return to QK next Wednesday, assuming all is well.

Coats / Tiffin Wedding 4/24/21

Victoria Coats married Eli Tiffin today, and AllRequestPiano was there to entertain the people at the reception! Heather and I, accompanied by the great drummer Chris Wallis, kept the people dancing and in good spirits while we performed all the requests they brought to us. We had so many that we couldn’t get through them all! The reception was held outdoors at a ranch in Llano, TX, and the weather was absolutely perfect for it. I love being able to perform with great musicians, and do it for such joyful occasions. Congratulations to the happy newlyweds!

Rockey’s Piano Bar 4/23/21

Lots of dancing took place in Round Rock, TX, tonight. Heather and I played our three-hour show, and we had fun doing it. She was cracking me up mashing “Stanky Legg” into “Gangsta’s Paradise”. I love playing shows with her, and we’ll be back next Friday at Rockey’s!

Blacklands BBQ 4/22/21

Tonight, Heather and I met up in Snyder, Texas, to represent NY/NY Dueling Pianos for a private event. The crowd was fantastic during our 70 minute show. We had them singing and clapping, and we may have even had a world champion air guitar soloist join us. We had lots of fun, in the crowd enjoyed it as much as we did. We got a standing ovation and stood with people for selfies after our performance. Thank you to NY/NY Dueling Pianos for once again having us represent!

Quarantine Keys 4/21/21

Played my regular Wednesday night show over on the QK page tonight. I played a bunch of songs which I’d never tried before, and lots I’d not heard in years. The keytar even made an appearance. Fun night!

Moonshine & Ale 4/17/21

We started our night at my house with hot dogs and s’mores out on our patio before heading to our show in New Braunfels. Heather and I had a packed audience waiting for us to start at 8:30p, and it stayed full though our whole show. Guest drummer Ryan came in to perform with us at 10p, and kept the groove while Heather and I swapped between piano and keytar. Not many nights end with a huge group of young women dressed up as old women twerking to “Bennie And The Jets”, but there’s a first for everything. We were told that someone at the bar was saying we were “legends”. Hey, I’ll take it!

Rockey’s Piano Bar 4/16/21

What a fun night in Round Rock! Heather and I had a busy night of playing people’s requests. We even played an extra half-hour because it was so busy. Heather and I swapped between piano & drums all night, and the crowd loved it. Working with Heather is pure joy, and we’ll play another show together tomorrow night in New Braunfels!

Moonshine & Ale 4/15/21

Pancho, Heather and I provided the backing tracks for Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels. It was a little rainy outside, so the crowd came in early and packed the club out! Heather did great on the drums tonight, and Pancho always has tasty guitar licks. I’m glad that I get to work with such talented people!

Quarantine Keys 4/14/21

I hope everyone has as much fun as I do when I stream. It’s weird because I can’t see everyone, but I sure enjoy talking with people online. I had lots of Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Talking Heads and so many more good artists requested tonight. I wonder what next Wednesday will hold...

Moonshine & Ale 4/9/21

We took the stage in New Braunfels for our Friday night AllRequestPiano sing along show. The night started a little thin, but it picked up considerably as the even went on. I always know it was a good show when people come up to us afterwards and tell us that they plan their weekend around our show! Thanks, New Braunfels! See ya next week!

The Moot Music Cafe 4/9/21

Today’s livestream on Facebook was full of bananas and penguins and general silliness. Heather and I did a two-hour show for our friends across the pond from 2p-4p central time. We didn’t have many people watching this time, but it didn’t stop us from having fun. I like just about everything about playing with Heather!

Moonshine & Ale 4/8/21

Heather and I swapped off drums and piano tonight for Live Band Karaoke with the great Pancho Garza in guitar. There were lots of great singers taking their shot on the stage. We shared lots of laughs as we made our way through the night. My favorite part was when Pancho started to dance and ended up shutting off all the stage lights mid-show. It was a special dance.

Quarantine Keys 4/7/21

I had a chance to play a bunch of fun ‘50s & ‘60s tunes tonight. I enjoy my weekly Wednesdays night shows on QK. It’s always so random what I might be asked to play!

Livestream 4/6/21

A random Tuesday night show just for the fun of it! I played a bunch of tunes for a couple hours while people jumped on the stream. It was a fun thing to do after I roller skated down my street. Afterwards, I made resin casts of action figure hands. My life is weird.

Jack’s Roadhouse 4/3/21

Before I headed to the show tonight, my wife asked me if I thought anyone would request “The Final Countdown” because today was 4/3/21, and I said no. Well, she was right, and someone did request it! We played a hilarious version of it and of pretty much every song people asked for. It’s been a while since I laughed this much through a show! Heather is hilarious, and our show just feels so natural, even when we’re playing stuff for the first time. We saw a bunch of familiar faces at Jack’s, and even had Sam & Brandon show up (for whom Heather and I played at their wedding). Another great one for the books!

Rockin J Piano Bar 4/2/21

Heather and I met up in Cedar Park to take requests from the crowd tonight! We had a great crowd for most of the show, but it cleared out towards the end. But even then, we had people sticking around and sending us requests and having fun with us. All night, Heather and I were making each other laugh. It’s so easy to perform with her. You should’ve heard her version of  “Shallow” tonight. The crowd lost their minds as she belted it out from the drum kit!

Quarantine Keys 3/31/21

I played a couple hours on Facebook on the QK page, as I usually do in Wednesdays. I wore my Kermit shirt, which brought on a slew of Muppet requests, which was fine with me. I like live-streaming when I have an interactive crowd, and people were talking to me tonight. I’ll return next Wednesday on QK!
