Jack’s Roadhouse 5/28/22

We returned to Jack’s in San Marcos tonight! The crowd grew steadily as we began our show, and before long, our piano was full of requests. David Bowie to Wilson Pickett to Madonna were played during our show. We met some cool people and had friends show up, and after the show, we got a bunch of really nice compliments. Overall a night!

Rockin J Piano Bar 5/27/22

Heather and I played in Cedar Park tonight, and my camera captured this pre-gig pic. Our show went great, but this pic is amazing. I mean, did you even see her eyes? Yeah, me neither. Sorry to keep bugging you about this, but that pic is epic. Or if not epic, a pic.

Moonshine & Ale 5/26/22

We got down at Live Band Karaoke tonight in New Braunfels! Tons of new people filled the club, which meant we had a lot of new songs sung by the crowd. Heather did an amazing job on drums keeping the band together, and Pancho sounded great in guitar. My job is fun.

Houston Rockey’s Piano Bar 5/21/22

It was a dark and stormy night. You couldn’t tell by the way Heather lit up the night with her voice. We had a good crowd and a plethora of requests, and people sang along with their favorite hits! We swapped between piano and drums (like we do at most of our shows) and seemed to surprise the crowd each time we did. I got a nice compliment about my drumming from a guy who kept telling me how effortlessly I played. I assured him that it’s not effortless.

Moonshine & Ale 5/20/22

The crowd was stand-offish at first tonight in New Braunfels, but we kept the show rolling until they all jumped on board with us. It is such a joy for me to make Heather laugh during our shows, and tonight, I got her good several times. Pro Tip: Work with one of your best friends.

Moot Music Cafe 5/20/22

Chris Wallis and I did a fun livestream show on Facebook this afternoon! We mostly played songs we’d never tried before, and it made me happy to branch out a bit. Everything from Stevie Wonder to the Muppets, plus random tunes from artists like Billy Joel and Fleetwood Mac were played during our nearly 2-hour show. I like playing gigs with Chris, and he hang on great to all the random things I sent his way. Tonight, Heather and I will be in New Braunfels at Moonshine & Ale, so I hope to see you there!

Moonshine & Ale 5/19/22

Heather’s back! Heathers back! We played with Pancho at Live Band Karaoke, and our friend Chris Wallis joined us on stage for a quick photo of the giant poster advertising our upcoming full band shows on Sundays this summer. The crowd brought up a ton of requests to sing with us, and Heather & I took turns calling them to the stage. I’m so happy Heather’s back! Heather’s back!

Belmont Village Senior Living 5/19/22

Chris Wallis and I performed poolside in Lakeway, TX, from 11a-1p today for a crawfish boil. It was warm out, but there was a nice breeze while we played through a bunch of New Orleans classics and some of my originals. The crowd was scattered all around us, and we had lots of the residents tell us they enjoyed our show. Before the show, we walked behind the pool to a pond where we instantly saw a water moccasin! We left him alone and had a great afternoon playing music.

Fiesta Vineyard & Winery 5/14/22

I traveled to Lomita, Texas, to perform a dueling pianos show with David Lee, representing NY/NY dueling pianos. My partner Heather is on the last weekend of her honeymoon, so that’s why I teamed up with David. The crowd loved our show and sang along with nearly every song! We had a ton of requests, and my favorite was Steve Martin’s “King Tut“. I was a little nervous pre-show while we were setting up because a thunderstorm popped up out of nowhere, and quickly produced hail! Fortunately, it only lasted about 45 minutes, and we were able to perform our show uninterrupted. Thank you to the staff at the winery for being so friendly and welcoming to us!

Moonshine & Ale 5/13/22

I spent my Friday the 13th in New Braunfels. Heather is on her last weekend of her honeymoon, so I was teamed up with Lexxi Garcia. She was fun to work with, and we did well with filling all the requests for the crowd. My favorite request was when someone decided we needed to play “That’s All”. I agreed with them.

Moonshine & Ale 5/12/22

I played at Live Band Karaoke tonight with Pancho and Ed (while my partner Heather is on her final week of her honeymoon). We had a big bump of people at about 10p, and the singers came up all night long. I’ll be back tomorrow for piano bar, so I hope to see you there!

Moonshine & Ale 5/7/22

Chris Wallis and I played in New Braunfels tonight with Denise Ramirez (because my partner Heather is on her honeymoon) and the show went great! We had several birthdays and bachelorettes, and Denise played “Devil Went Down To Georgia” on violin. Thank you to everyone for being so generous with us tonight, and I hope to see you at a future show!

Moonshine & Ale 5/5/22

My partner Heather got married yesterday in Ft Worth, so my wife and I spent the past couple of nights up there. I took photos at her wedding, and my wife was in charge of the Spotify playlists for the wedding and ceremony. It was a beautiful event, and I am so happy for Heather and her husband Chance! We headed home to San Marcos this afternoon, and I played Live Band Karaoke with Pancho and Ed to a packed room. I’m pretty worn out now from all the festivities, so I’m gonna rest a while. G’night!

Moonshine & Ale 4/30/22

Heather and I played our third night in a row in New Braunfels, and we were joined by drummer Chris Wallis! The show went fine and everyone had fun. Was there some rudeness on display? Yeah, but the show couldn’t be stopped! We had a great time, and it was a good way to send Heather off to her wedding and honeymoon for the next couple weeks!
