Moonshine & Ale 2/25/23

Heather and I did our very best to entertain the crowd tonight at Moonshine & Ale with our guests, Noel Vickers on drums and Bill Ritter on bass. Both Noel and Bill are great players, and it was a treat to have them on stage for a few songs together. I am always impressed and proud of my partner, Heather! She rocks!

Muck & Fuss 2/25/23

We brought DanHolmesGroup to New Braunfels, TX! Bill Ritter is in town visiting, so he joined us on bass today. Chris Wallis played drums, and Heather Shook even sat in on drums for a tune! We had dancers and a bunch of really nice compliments after our show. I was also happy to see my brother and sister-in-law in the crowd! Muck & Fuss has great food, and I really like every show I’ve played there so far!

Sean Patrick’s Irish Pub 2/24/23

San Marcos was hopping tonight! Heather and I were happy to have Bill Ritter on bass for our show. We played tons of great requests, and Bill kept up with all of them! I was really happy because in the crowd tonight was my wife Christine, my brother J, and Bill’s sister Julie, who is also my sister-in-law. I had a ton of fun this evening!

Moonshine & Ale 2/23/23

Bill Ritter brought his bass skills to Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels tonight with Pancho Garza on guitar, Heather Shook on drums, and I was on keys. I miss performing often with Bill, but I’m really happy he’s been able to join me for some shows in Texas while he is visiting. The band sounded great, and I had tons of fun performing with all three of these talented musicians!

Moonshine & Ale 2/21/23

Happy Mardi Gras! DanHolmesGroup took the stage in New Braunfels, TX, tonight for a night filled with New Orleans flavored music! Kevin Humphrey played guitar, Chris Wallis played drums, and my old buddy Bill Ritter came down from Indiana to play bass. We played about three hours of funky tunes. My wife showed up and took all these great shots! Thanks, Christine!

Rockin J Piano Bar 2/18/23

So tonight’s show in Cedar Park was really busy, and Heather and I played every crazy request that came up. I mean, my tastes in music are all over the place, which is good because I had to draw on all of the random things I’ve learned over the years. Between Heather and I, we played “Rainbow Connection”, “Black”, “I Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing”, “Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life”, “You’re The Only One”, “Flowers” and so many more. I consider it a good night when the whole crowd sings along to a Monty Python song.

Moonshine & Ale 2/17/23

Heather and I got to meet some new fans tonight, which is always humbling and exciting! We made sure to keep the energy up on this cold New Braunfels, TX, night, and at the end of the evening got a chance to talk to people who really appreciated what we did. I love Heather, and we make a great team, so it really makes it easy to have great shows nightly with her.

Moonshine & Ale 2/16/23

Live Band Karaoke took place again tonight in New Braunfels, TX, and Heather, Anthony and I formed the band! We had quite a large crowd, and several were dressed up for Mardi Gras. I made sure to remind everyone that this Tuesday 2/21/23 is Mardi Gras and that DanHolmesGroup will be on stage at Moonshine & Ale! Now, I’ve just reminded YOU!

Silverton Downtown Community & Agricultural Center 2/11/23

Our show tonight was in Silverton, Texas. We played a fundraising event for their new agricultural center, where we were representing NY/NY Dueling Pianos. They had a silent auction, as well as a live auction, and we were the entertainment for the evening. Heather and I laughed through the whole show while playing a vast array of songs from the crowd. Lots of dancing and good times were had, and we really enjoyed the night. They were having so much fun, they even had us play an extra half an hour! We loaded out, and I got on the road about midnight to begin my 7-hour drive home, and I barely made it a half an hour, when a deer jumped out in front of my truck!  I’m fine, and my truck is drivable, but I’ll have to get this taken care of soon.

The Cove Theater 2/10/23

This was our first trip to The Cove Theater in Copperas Cove, TX, and it went great! We had so much fun with some new fans, and a few who’ve seen us a few times before. We performed our piano and drums show and had a truly overwhelming amount of requests brought up to the piano. I couldn’t stop laughing all night as I played everything from Elvis to Miley Cyrus. Heather once again proved why she’s the best partner I could hope for as she knocked out Bon Jovi to Lady Gaga. We did so good that at the end of the night, one guy jumped his feet for what I thought was going to be standing ovation, but it turns out he was just ready to go home. There are rumors circulating that we may return this fall, so stay tuned!

Barrels and Amps 2/3/23

Heather and I took our Dueling Pianos show to Georgetown, Texas, tonight. We had a good room full of people, and several birthdays! One guy stood up after I played “Mr. Blue Sky“ and so I told him that counts as a standing ovation, and it was going in the blog. Tonight, we got a standing ovation!

Moonshine & Ale 2/2/23

Lots of new people showed up in New Braunfels, TX, tonight for Live Band Karaoke! We played a bunch of tunes not many people usually sing which was a bunch of fun to do. Also, about midway through the night, we found out it was guitarist Pancho Garza’s birthday, so we had to sing him Happy Birthday!
