It was a good night at Moonshine & Ale! Heather and I took requests from the crowd, and at 10p, Ryan Hall joined us on drums. We played a few keytar songs when Heather and I would swap piano positions. The crowd was into the show all night long, with people asking for more at the end!

Moonshine & Ale 6/28/24
It’s always a little shocking to think that I make my living playing music with one of my best friends. Our shows flow pretty smoothly without any discussions because we know each other so well. Our show in New Braunfels tonight was great, and the place stayed full all night, and Heather and I played some great music together!

Moonshine & Ale 6/27/24
Pancho, Heather and I had a bunch of fun tonight at Live Band Karaoke. The place packed out by about 9:30. I like it when Heather and I swap instruments, too. We’ve been doing that more often and it gives things a fresh feel. She is so talented! And speaking of talented, Pancho rules. He does. For real. No joke. I also want to say how cool the staff is at Moonshine & Ale. They are all so much fun to hang with.

The Beltonian Theatre 6/22/24
We had a fantastic time in Belton, TX, tonight! Our day started off in Hillsboro where we stayed over from our Oklahoma gig last night. We had some Braum’s for lunch before heading to Temple and roam around the mall for a bit, and then we finally landed in Belton for our show. It was a sold-out show with about three-quarters new people seeing us for the first time. We both really enjoy the theater and the staff, and the crowd never fails to give us endless fun requests. Someone in the crowd early on shouted “Are you two married?!?” which we both agreed we might as well be for the amount of time we spend together, but no. We each have spouses that we explained all love hanging out with each other and have fun. We played some of most genres and eras tonight. The crowd jumped in at all the appropriate spots, and they even helped us send a special video to a fan who couldn’t be there due to their daughter’s upcoming heart surgery Monday. We love our fans, and we talked with quite a few of them before and after the show, and they made us feel loved! Just before we took the stage, we walked over to an antique shop across the street from the theater where I found a cool jacket which I wore at the show, and Heather found a sweater with mushrooms all over it. When we got back to San Marcos after the show, our spouses were there waiting for us to get home, and we also found out my wife bought mushroom covered overalls as Heather was buying her sweater. Chance and I stood back and laughed. This is why we all get along.

The Grand Casino and Resort 6/21/24
After our show in New Braunfels, TX, last night, Heather and I spent the night in Hillsboro, TX. We got up and drove to Shawnee, OK, for a big corporate private event where we met up with drummer Julien Boussontié. He fit right in with our show, and we all had fun with the crowd. They had me start the event by singing the National Anthem, and then an awards ceremony took place for about an hour. The show was full of requests, and we played as many as we could in our allotted time. Heather and I finished up with packing our gear afterwards and headed back to Hillsboro, TX, to get some rest before our Saturday night show at the Beltonian in Belton, TX!

Moonshine & Ale 6/20/24
Heather and I played Live Band Karaoke tonight in New Braunfels with guitarist Kevin Humphrey. We had a good mix of new people and a lot of our regulars. Kevin‘s mom even came up to join in on the fun and sing some songs with us. The power blinked about halfway through the evening, but was only off for a few minutes. We waited and began as soon as the power was restored.

Moonshine & Ale 6/15/24
New Braunfels, TX, was absolutely packed tonight! Heather and I got home from our Oklahoma gig today about 2pm, and then we were back on stage taking requests at 8:30pm. We had a bunch of requests right from the start, all the way through when Ryan joined us on drums at 10pm to the end of the night at 1am. I love performing and I love fun nights like this one.

Reed Conference Center 6/14/24
We played for a fun group tonight at a private event in Midwest City, OK. They were ready to conga line, sing along, dance, and run around on giant inflatable flamingos. They had a “Back To The Future”/Hawaiian shirt theme, and they requested everything from “Kokomo” to “The Fireman”, plus some songs from the movie the party was themed after, of course! Fun night after a four-hour drive, and after our show, we drove that same four-hours back to our hotel in Hillsboro, TX. We'll be in New Braunfels for our Saturday night show.

Moonshine & Ale 6/13/24
Lookie! Pancho, Heather and I took this on stage in between sets for Live Band Karaoke! We love sharing the stage with Pancho, and tonight, we had a bunch of songs featuring his soloing skills. Heather started the night on drums and I was on keys, then we swapped during break. I gotta say, we had a lot of great and unusual song requests tonight, and we had a bunch of fun. Heather and I left after the show and made it about 3 hours north up to Hillsboro, TX, to get some sleep before our show tomorrow in Oklahoma City!

Old Kress Live 6/8/24
We had the afternoon off in Corpus Christi today so we drove down to Padre Island National Seashore and snorkled in the gulf for a few hours. It was crystal clear and we saw tons of fish. We had some dinner after the beach, made a couple stops before checking out of our AirB&B, and then headed downtown for our Saturday night show. We got to play some great music for the first time like “I Feel For You”. I like when we get different tunes like this! Heather and I will return in July for more fun.

Old Kress Live 6/7/24
Corpus Christi held their monthly Art Walk downtown tonight, which means Heather and I performed at Old Kress Live! We had several fans out to see us, and they kept the requests coming. We had the pleasure of having Sergio who is one of the bartenders come up and sing “Neon Moon” with us. We always have a good time!

Moonshine & Ale 6/6/24
It was another night of Live Band Karaoke where we had a full house again. We had tons of people want to sing with us tonight and we helped as best we could in the time allowed. Kevin Humphrey joined us on guitar, and Heather and I swapped between drums and keys at the halfway point of the night. She played some great drum grooves when we swapped!

Moonshine Drinkery 6/1/24
We played in Victoria, TX, tonight for all of our friends at Moonshine Drinkery! They had a solid crowd all night long there to request songs from Heather and me. We love performing there, and we just found out that next month, we will be there twice, once on Saturday June 20th at 9pm and then the next day for a brunch show at 12:30pm. Christine has been getting into resin projects recently and she sent some ghosty pieces she made to the staff, and they all loved them. I’m so happy Heather, Christine and I get a chance to be creative for good people like the staff and patrons at Moonshine Drinkery.

Kalahari Resort 5/31/24
We played a dueling pianos show for a corporate event tonight in Round Rock, TX, at the Kalahari Resort. We’ve played for this group 3 or four times in the past, and we always have a good time with them. Midway through the show, a woman came and asked me if a young lady named Paisley could come play “Piano Man”, so I said “Of course”! She ran and got her own harmonica and head gear and sounded great. I got to play “Peaches” for a very happy young man and his father. After our show wrapped up, one of the people who hired us asked if we had our caricature done yet. He pointed us towards William, the butt sketch artist. For posteriors sake, I’ve blurred his sexy rendering of both of our back sides. It made it even funnier. After the show, we headed into Redd’s Piano and watched Tammy Tanner play a few songs and saw the cutest service pup, then drove to Darwin’s Pub where we caught a couple tunes by the always entertaining team of Michael Carrandi and Joe Resnick, headed down 6th Street to Pete’s and said hi to our friends Mike Atkins and Chris Saucedo, and then drove to In-N-Out on the way home. We packed it in today!
