Heather, Pancho, and I played for Live Band Karaoke once again this evening in New Braunfels. We had a pretty full house all evening, and lots of new faces. We got a chance to play many songs that don’t get requested very often, which is always fun for us. I love playing shows with these two! Heather and I will be back both Friday night and Saturday night to take requests during piano bar at Moonshine & Ale, so come join us.

Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa 1/29/25
We performed in Austin tonight at a private event by Groove Labs for DNTanks. Heather and I loaded in through lots of fog, and played until it turned to rain. I started the evening by playing a 45 minute dinner music set, then Heather joined me for our 2-hour request show. It was a more laid-back event, but we still had plenty of requests from the crowd, and abundant compliments after our show!

The Hanger 1/25/25
Tucker and Aly were wed today in Dalhart, TX, and we helped them celebrate! I performed a couple of songs for the ceremony at 2pm, then Heather and I had a little time to hang out together before we returned at 6p to help get the reception started with some first dance songs. John and Brian joined us at 7p on stage, and we played a 4-hour non-stop dueling pianos show. It’s kind of wild to me that we live in central Texas, drove 9 hours to to perform at this wedding, and we were still in Texas! It’s a big state, and we still ran into people who knew us from New Braunfels. It was a long weekend, but it always makes me happy to help people start their marriage off with joy from our show. Thanks to Heather, John, and Brian for helping make it successful. Congratulations to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Poling!

The Hanger 1/24/24
We drove to Dalhart, TX, (which is about 9 hours from home) to perform for a rehearsal dinner. We had John Duran on drums and Brian Boyce joining us for this show. Last night after our gig in New Braunfels, we drove more than halfway up to Snyder, TX, which saw us arrive at 5:30am. I went to get our room key, and they had given our room away! I stayed as clam as I could, exhausted from our drive, and eventually, we did get some sleep before heading up to our gig. It’s always an adventure.

Moonshine & Ale 1/23/25
I enjoyed playing bass tonight for Live Band Karaoke tonight. It is cool when Heather and I get to be a rhythm section. I also like working with Pancho on synchronized licks. Denise joined us on keys, and we had a good crowd for how cold it was. After the show, Heather and I jumped in the truck and began driving our 5 hour trip to a the halfway point for our Friday night show. We’ll be back at Live Band Karaoke next Thursday!

Kissing Tree 1/21/25
Heather and I brought our dueling pianos show back to Kissing Tree in San Marcos, TX, again tonight, and even though it was extremely cold, we had about 130 people come out to sing along and dance to our tunes. We had some fun songs requested and made some new fans along the way. It was great to have a fun Tuesday show close to home!

JW Marriott San Antonio 1/18/25
We performed a dinner set tonight in San Antonio for a private event for Duro-Last, via our friends at Groove Labs. We only played 40 minutes, but we had requests to get us through even though people were enjoying dinner. It was nice to be a part of another huge corporate event like this. Tomorrow marks 12 years of Heather and I performing together, and I’m so happy we are a team. Love you, Heather!
The Beltonian Theatre 1/17/25
We performed our dueling pianos show in Belton, TX, tonight. The crowd was about 1/2 returning fans and 1/2 new people, and they all brought up great requests. Beatles, Linda Ronstadt, Duran Duran, and Weird Al were all requested and played! Heather is such a great partner, and we love anytime the both of us get to play at The Beltonian!

Moonshine & Ale 1/16/25
I played bass tonight at Live Band Karaoke and Heather was on drums, so we made a fun rhythm section for Pancho to play his guitar, and for Denise on keys. I enjoy getting to play different instruments at shows. It helps me keep those muscles (both physical and mental) working. Heather and I will be back next week with Pancho and Denise, so come sing with us!

Moonshine & Ale 1/11/24
Saturday night was slamming in New Braunfels! We had a great crowd and they were bringing us requests all night long. Jarrett joined Heather and me at 10p on drums, and he sounded great. Thanks to everyone who came out to see us tonight, including old friends from our Victoria shows!

Moonshine & Ale 1/10/24
Heather is awesome. I love our shows together. We played in New Braunfels tonight, and we just settled into entertaining each other as we played all the requests from the crowd. She played “Who’s Crying Now” and I played “Blinded By The Light”, both of which represented the off-center requests we had all evening long. I love to hear her sing, and the crowd loved our interactions. It’s easy when you like and respect your partner!

Moonshine & Ale 1/9/24
It’s so cold! We were freezing tonight on our way to New Braunfels, but when Heather and I met up with Pancho inside, we warmed up pretty quickly. It was rainy for the first hour or so as we played, but when it quit, we had a huge amount of people arrive. We had a bunch of friends in the audience tonight, and some of them joined us on stage for some karaoke. I played the first sent with a sticking key, so on break, I pulled the keyboard apart and fixed it. Never a dull moment!

Old Kress Live 1/4/25
Owners Amos and Kristen were at our show tonight in Corpus Christi, and it was great to see them. We had many fun requests and people singing and dancing with us. I’m happy we had another successful weekend. Heather and I will be back at Old Kress Live in February!

Old Kress Live 1/3/25
Heather and I drove to Corpus Christi for our monthly shows, and we arrived pretty early. After we got set up, we walked around downtown a bit before our show. There were a couple of parks full of vendors and food trucks. We bought a couple things and headed back to the club to take requests. The show went by fast, and we headed to our Airbnb to play some Bananagrams before bed. We’ll be back at Old Kress Saturday night!

Moonshine & Ale 1/2/25
Our first show of 2025 was in New Braunfels for Live Band Karaoke, and it was a good one. Pancho, Heather and I kept the show moving all night as people came up to sing songs with us like “Tennessee Whisky”, “Don’t Know Why”, “You Give Love A Bad Name” and many more. I love my job, and it was a good way to start off the new year.

Moonshine & Ale 12/31/24
Happy New Year! Heather and I rang in the New Year together in New Braunfels, TX, at our home-away-from-home, Moonshine & Ale. We have had a great year with the crew there, and we are always so happy to see them doing well. Heather and I had a great show with lots of requests. I’m not sure I’ve ever had “Show Me The Way” by Peter Frampton requested, but we played it for our appreciative crowd, along with a bunch more tunes. Many people after our show stopped us to tell us how much they appreciate what we do all year long, and how they always look forward to our shows. One couple told me they’ve been coming to see me there since it was called AJ’s Ale House back in 2011, and they told me that Heather and I are one of the best parts of New Braunfels. It feels so good to know we bring so much happiness into the community. On a personal note, I gotta say, Heather is really amazing. Our partnership is as strong as our friendship, and she amazes me each year with everything she accomplishes. Most only see her from the audience perspective, but I know the hundreds of hours of work she puts in behind the scenes to make each show the best she can make it. I look forward to another year of great shows with her!
