Moonshine & Ale 9/27/25

Alex Lugwa joined us on drums tonight for our show in New Braunfels. He’s a great player, and we always enjoy sharing the stage with him. Heather and I had tons of unusual requests, everything from Sade to Lita Ford. The crowd grew all night, and we had people wanting more when our show ended.

Moonshine & Ale 9/26/25

I always love performing with Heather. We had several groups in the club tonight, and she played all the requests I didn’t, and vise versa. We really do make a great team, and I am amazed at the sheer number of different songs we play together. We’ve been playing together for so long that it’s just second nature to follow each other with whatever song either of us pulls out of thin air. After the show, we met some people who moved to the area recently and were very complimentary of us. It’s just good to have a partner and a job I love.

Moonshine & Ale 9/25/25

Live Band Karaoke went well tonight in New Braunfels. We helped a couple people celebrate their birthdays, and we had some really great singers. It’s really fun, and if you haven’t been, try to make it at least once. Every week, we get people telling us that they were hesitant to come out at first because they felt nervous about being with a live band, but after doing it once tell us that they love  it more than “regular” karaoke. Hope to see some more new people next week!

Moonshine Drinkery 9/20/25

We had a great time with all of our friends in Victoria, TX, tonight at Moonshine Drinkery! We know so many great people down that way, and the staff there is like family. The crowd brought up a ton of requests, and sang along and danced as we played. After the show, we spoke with several people just to catch up on all the wild, fun, scary, and sometimes sad things happening in their lives. One of the staff had a pretty serious health scare recently, but he’s doing so much better now which was great news. Another long-time fan and friend of the show lost his father this week, and came out for some fun and support, which we were more than happy to give him. We saw new adorable baby pictures from one of the staff. We hugged everyone we could. Nothing but love for our Victoria peeps. We stayed much longer than usual, so we arrived back at my house pushing 5am. Heather is now asleep on my couch. We’ll be back in Victoria on Friday October 10th to bring our Live Band Karaoke show to the area for the first time, so mark your calendars!

Rockin J 9/19/25

It was a really fun show in Cedar Park tonight! We had fans show up from New Braunfels and Waco and everywhere in between. We also got a chance to talk with quite a few new fans who were really excited about our show, and said they would definitely be back when we return to Rockin J on October 4th. It was really nice to hear all the compliments at the end of the night.

Moonshine & Ale 9/18/25

Heather, Pancho and I sang a bunch tonight at Live Band Karaoke. It was a slower night everywhere in downtown New Braunfels, but we kept playing and letting people get up to sing with us as we do every Thursday. It was great to see some familiar faces come out to sing with us! Friday night, we will be in Cedar Park at Rockin J, and then Saturday we take our show to Victoria for our friends at Moonshine Drinkery. Hope to see you there!

Moonshine & Ale 9/13/25

On our way to New Braunfels, Heather and I were passed by 50+ sport bikes on I-35, popping wheelies and threading between cars. Christine and I experienced a similar thing in Nashville, TN, years ago, except all the bikes there were in a high speed chase with the police, and simultaneously, a water tower fell over and crashed into the ground. Fortunately, nothing like that happened while we made our way to Moonshine & Ale. Josh Spence was drumming with us tonight, and the show went well. Afterwords, Heather and I made our way back up the interstate, halfway expecting to see all those bikes again. Craziness!

Moonshine & Ale 9/12/25

Friday night in New Braunfels went well at Moonshine & Ale for Heather and me. We played everything from some Stevie Ray Vaughn to Stevie Nicks and lots of other artists not named Stevie. Our friends from the tennis camp down that way showed up and brought the energy with them! We had a couple tables of people who kept coming up to tip us just because they couldn’t believe we knew so many songs. It’s nice to be appreciated!

Moonshine & Ale 9/11/25

Sometimes we get goofy at Live Band Karaoke, and tonight, the three of us were having a good time together. We had a bunch of really good singers, and they were picking lots of our new songs we’ve recently added to our list. I love my musical buddies! Pancho is so good on his guitar, and Heather just keeps getting stronger on drums every week. So talented! Heather and I will be back all weekend, so come see us.

Old Kress Live 9/6/25

Our last performance at Old Kress Live wrapped up a two-year run for us. The staff is great, and we’ll miss them, but I bet we end up coming back for some special events in the future. Tonight was fun, and we had lots of great requests throughout the night. I was glad to see the staff having fun when I’d see them. Thanks to all our Corpus Christi friends for making it out to our shows!

Old Kress Live 9/5/25

Our two-year run is coming to an end at Old Kress Live in Corpus Christi this weekend. We played tonight, and we’ll be back for one last show tomorrow night. We had a bunch of fun requests tonight, including a bunch of Beatles, Elvis, 80s hits and classic rock. The first request tonight was “And I Love Her” which I would not have expected. It was great to play for a bunch of new people mixed in with familiar faces. Come out tomorrow and request your favorite song!

Moonshine & Ale 9/4/25

Live Band Karaoke went well tonight in New Braunfels. Heather, Pancho and I are always so interconnected that our nights together fly by. I love them! We had a bunch of good singers, and we had a few anniversaries, birthdays, and bachelorette parties celebrating with us. Our new app is working well, and we want to thank everyone for adapting to it so seamlessly.

Moonshine & Ale 8/31/25

Happy Labor Day! We played in New Braunfels to a room full of people out celebrating together. We had several birthdays and bachelorette parties and we kept them singing and dancing all night. I was proud of the staff at Moonshine & Ale tonight. They were short-staffed but still kept everyone happy. They busted their butts tonight, and I hope the crowd tipped them well!
