Live Stream 10/21/20

I had a good bunch of people on the stream tonight by the time I ended! They were asking for random tunes in French, some ballads and love songs, and we celebrated a birthday. I felt loved as everyone said nice things to me during the show. It’s good to have an outlet for some energy during weird days.

Quarantine Keys 10/21/20

I played about an hour-and-a-half on the QK page from Lebanon, IN, tonight. It’s been a hard few months, but performing keeps me sorta focused. Not a ton of people online because I was on fairly early, but I’m doing another stream right after this on AllRequestPiano’s page to grab some viewers for the evening. It was a good warm-up show.

Quarantine Keys 10/14/20

I set up on the porch of my in-laws house in Indiana for my QK livestream tonight. I played to just a few people who signed on for the show. Mid-way through, I had to jump up and help my mother-in-law back to bed, but afterwards, I came back and finished the show. I even got a little live applause from neighborhood folks who were walking past the house.

Moonshine & Ale 10/10/20

Our triumphant return to New Braunfels was great! I’m so happy to be able to share the stage with my partner, Heather Ray. She helps keep a smile on my face during these weird days. We had a great crowd, and lots of people opting to use our Venmo account to request songs so we could socially distance properly. Greg Galindo joined us on drums, which was cool because I haven’t had a chance to work with him in a long time. We had friends show up to support us, and I played a few serious keytar tunes. It felt sorta normal!

The Meekermark 10/9/20

Tonight, Heather and I welcomed newlyweds Mr and Mrs Hughes to the dance floor as we played for their wedding reception. I love when we get to perform together for great people! It was a beautiful reception, and we had tons of great requests. Thanks for including us on your big day, and congratulations! #meekermark #wedding #weddingreception #weddingentertainment #musicians #weddingplanning

Live Stream 11/8/20

I flew from Indy to Austin today, and my partner Heather Ray and Chance picked me up at the airport. We pick up some BBQ and took it to my house where we ate and then live-streamed for a couple hours on Facebook. We were both loopy from not enough sleep, but it was great to hang out. Heather is always a positive burst of energy! We have a wedding tomorrow to perform for, so I’m off to bed for now.

Quarantine Keys 10/7/20

Tonight, I did 1.5 hours on Quarantine Keys. I had a bunch of people jump on, and I was happy to play their requests. I also had a few regulars join me, and got to play a bunch of Beatles tunes, which is fun for me. I’m flying from Indy to Austin in the morning, so I gotta get some sleep, but I’m live streaming with my partner, Heather Ray, tomorrow! Yay!!

Live Stream 10/3/20

Tonight’s livestream on AllRequestPiano was full of great song requests and pizza preferences. I tried out my new background thing tonight, and it worked well. My partner Heather jumped on mid-show to get a few requests in for herself, which I played best I could for her. A favorite part of the night for me came pretty early when my wife sent me a text to let me know her mom, Nikki, was watching, so I was able to play a couple of her favorite songs for her. It made me feel good to know she was watching.

Live Stream 9/25/20

My favorite thing to know is when people are enjoying the show, and tonight, I got a photo from (my partner Heather’s parents) Patrick and Kim in the Houston area as proof! I have loved getting a chance to connect with people during the pandemic in a way I wouldn’t have had an opportunity to otherwise. Obviously it’s been hard on everyone, and I’m looking forward to shows in front of people in the same room again, but even when that happens, I think live-streaming will be a regular part of my performance schedule. Thanks a bunch to Patrick and Kim and everyone else on my stream for requesting songs and enjoying life!

Quarantine Keys 9/23/20

Did my Wednesday night set on the Quarantine Keys page on Facebook tonight! I love when people interact and talk with me. It makes some of the random awkwardness of me sitting alone in a room while talking to a camera a little less weird. I hope to perform in front of a crowd soon, but until then, join me whenever you can on a stream!

Live Stream 9/19/20

I had a great crowd on Facebook tonight. Some unusual requests and some of my favorites were asked for. When I first started, I wasn’t sure anyone was going to join because I played half a dozen songs before I had anyone on my feed, but they came and chatted all night. I even had my student, Bella, come on and ask me for a few tunes, which was fun!

Live Stream 9/18/20

Things got a little Halloween-ie during my show tonight on Facebook. I really enjoyed performing for the crowd online tonight because everyone seemed to be in good spirits and I had bunches of requests during my 2.5 show! And Halloween makes me happy, so I was glad to play a few spooky songs, too. #livestream #music #musician #pianoman

Quarantine Keys 9/16/20

Christine and I drove home to Texas from Indiana yesterday and today, and I arrived with about an hour to get ready for my QK show. It was great being able to play on my acoustic piano after more than a month away from it. I enjoyed the show, but I was worn out by the time it was done. Side note: We got to enjoy lunch before my show in the Dallas area with my partner Heather and her boyfriend Chance, and after the show we had dinner with drummer Chris Wallis in San Marcos. It was a good day.

Live Stream 9/12/20

Even though my feed tonight was full of random technical glitches, I still had fun performing for the folks on Facebook! I did my show on an upright piano at my in-laws house in Lebanon, IN, and I think I was overloading their internet connection. I had lots of requests, and lots of laughs. 2020 keeps trying to knock me down, but I’m still trying to stay upright!

County Line Orchard 9/12/20

Well, we got rained out right after we arrived in Hobart, IN, but Bill Ritter, Joe Maddox and I were able to share a few laughs together before we bought donuts and turned back around for our 2 hour drive to Indianapolis. It would’ve been great to perform with these fellas, and I’m sad we didn’t get to do so, but 2020 has had nothing but alternate plans for all of us. Texas awaits, so hopefully I’ll be able to return to the orchard for a show during my next swing through the Midwest!

Quarantine Keys 9/9/20

I love when people jump on and instantly get involved in my show! I played a couple hours on Quarantine Keys and had some fun requests. It’s cool that people from all over the country can pop on and have fun together! After the show, I saw I was tagged in this picture, which made me happy. I regularly see images like this, but each one makes me happy to know I’ve helped bring a smile to a face for a few minutes. Great picture, Michelle!

The Moot Music Cafe 9/9/20

Germany, Scotland, North Carolina, Leeds, California and more were represented on my first show on Moot Music Cafe on Facebook! I was able to visit with some old friends and make a few new fans, so all-in-all, a good show. I played about 2.5 hours, and then jumped off the computer to rest a bit before I go do another show on Quarantine Keys!

Live Stream 9/5/20

I had a really good time on my Facebook livestream tonight, while Heather played a club gig in Tulsa, OK, at Shady Keys. I had quite a few down-tempo tunes requested and some funk, as well as a few Queen tunes in honor of Freddie Mercury’s birthday. I’m doing my best to survive at this stage of the pandemic lockdown, and so is Heather. Thank you to each and every one of you who have tipped us for songs during this time. You are feeding two musicians!

Live Stream 9/4/20

I played my livestream on Facebook tonight while visiting with family from my parent’s house in Indiana, and my partner Heather played a club in Tulsa, OK, called Shady Keys. Soon, we will reunite in Texas and be playing shows together again! I think it’s hilarious that we didn’t plan our pictures to come out the same, but they did because we’re so similar. I really miss live-in-person shows, and I miss performing with Heather tons. Just a little while longer...

Quarantine Keys 9/2/20

I performed a two-hour show on the QK Facebook page tonight! I’m always kind of shocked when I get songs requested that I know but which I’ve never played, mostly because I feel like I’ve played everything I know already! I had two or three of those type songs requested, and I loved trying them out for the first time. Looks like my new time slot will be 6p central (7p eastern) on Wednesdays for Quarantine Keys. Join me next week!
