Heather Ray and I headed to New Braunfels where we met up with guitarist Pancho Garza. The three of us provided the backing music for Live Band Karaoke, and the public got up to sing with us. Heather hadn’t played drums for this type of show before so we swapped between keys and drums a bit, and she did great on the drums! It’s not an easy show to drum for because you have to wear headphones for a click track, and operate the computer with the lyrics for the crowd, but she handled it like a champ. Pancho is a pro, and it’s always fun to gig with him, but at one point, he said he wished he got a little of the special chemistry Heather and I share on stage, so the rest of this blog is dedicated to Pancho.
