Another wacky night in New Braunfels! Danny Smith and I entertained the masses best we possibly could, and things just kept getting weirder. Random brides-to-be rushed the stage at various points in the night. Birthday new people came in to have us sing to them. I drummer. Danny drummed. I played piano. Danny played piano. I was just happy to be performing with another great talent like Danny tonight!

Cowgirl stilt walkers! Human bronze statues! Dueling Pianos! The USAA Real Estate Rewards Network Annual Conference had it all. Joe Resnick (drums), David Morris (piano) and I played a three-hour show for the people as they danced and requested songs. The stilt walkers joined in a conga line at one point, and even the (creepy gold-man statue from a Stephen King novel who only moves when you're not looking) couldn't help but dance before the night was through! Fun night with a great group, for sure. Thanks to Kevin Karlsgodt for including us on the show!

What a fun night we had in Austin, Texas tonight! Heather Ray and I performed our dueling pianos show for a diverse crowd from 6pm-7:30pm on the walkway between several businesses. Between the umbrellas hanging in the air, good musical requests, and the sunset, it was a beautiful place to be. I hope we are invited back soon! A big thank you to Groove Labs for providing sound and including us on the event.

First night in our Music Mondays series in San Marcos went great tonight with bassist Kevin Humphrey and drummer Roger Glenn. This will be a weekly event, on Mondays from 8p-11p, weather permitting. We played lots of our favorite tunes tonight, including a bunch of random 80s songs just for fun. You never know what you'll hear when you come to a Dan Holmes Group show, so to be safe, you should just come every week. (Thanks to Christine Barton-Holmes for the great photos!)

David Lee, Chris Wallis and I had bunches of fun in New Braunfels tonight as we took requests from the crowd and celebrated bachelorettes and birthdays! Some old friends (who were former staff at Moonshine) showed up to see the show, and it was great to see them. Chris impressed me once again by keeping up with me as I tried for the first time "Barracuda", and David made me laugh a bunch as he played through his sets. Fun all around!

80s pub crawl in New Braunfels was a bunch of fun with my musical partner Heather Ray as we swapped off between drums and piano tonight! Even after the pub crawl left for their next stop, the folks in the club kept the requests flowing (most of them 80s tunes, naturally). We both had a great time and the night flew by. Thanks, Heather, for another great show (and you win best shirt of the night for your Empire Strikes Back T)!

Our first trip to Victoria, TX since the hurricane ripped through was a joyous night. Everyone welcomed us and enjoyed themselves as Chris Wallis and I took their requests. It wasn't crowded, but those who were there made it a point to tell us how much they appreciated the show. I had a great time with Chris, and there were general good vibes all around!

Party in New Braunfels! David Lee and I swapped between piano & drums as we played requests from the crowd. It's always fun performing with David! We had a somewhat quiet crowd, but everyone still enjoyed the night. I'll be back soon for more in New Braunfels!

After a few months away from Crafthouse (due to Texas State summer break), I returned tonight with drummer Brian Carlisle for a great night of requests! We had lots of songs come across the piano tonight, and the crowd sent up a wide range of genres. My favorite was Fiona Apple's "Criminal". I've been a bad, bad girl...

As hurricane Harvey was about to make landfall, I was on stage in Temple, Texas, with drummer Roger Glenn. We had a great crowd, and even had some folks watching us, in from Corpus Christi who evacuated earlier. They told us several times how much they appreciated the entertainment on a night which could wreck their home. I'm glad I get to make people happy for a living, and I hope everyone in Texas and Louisiana are safe tonight and the following weeks.

Owwww! Fun and crazy singing tonight in New Braunfels for live band karaoke. Along for the ride with me was Andrae (drums), Daniel (bass) and Pancho (guitar). Those fellas are talented and fun to play with. We hit everyone's requests and had a good variety of songs. Good job, everyone!

My second show of the night was full of mystery and wonder, and Dave and Roger and Pancho. Any show where I can sing, "If you're happy and you know it, clap your hands! If you just got out of prison, clap you hands!"and roughly the same number of people clap is a good show, indeed. All the musicians were on fire, and only one guitar was minorly hurt in the process. Crazy, crazy second show was a bunch of fun in New Braunfels.
Great turnout tonight at a wedding celebration in Seguin! Chris Wallis and I took requests from 7:20p-9:20p, and I had a good time with him. By the end of the night, folks were holding the table candles in the air and singing along to "Lean On Me" with us. We hit our last note and I rushed out the door to my second show of the night over in New Braunfels. A big thanks to my wife, Christine, and Chris for tearing down our gear so I could make it to my second show on time!

Strange people filled the New Braunfels club tonight. David Lee and I played many bizarre requests tonight. Everyone had a great time, and we had lots of them up on stage to...I wanna say...dance? They all did their best, and I was entertained, so, good show!

Live band karaoke went well tonight in New Braunfels. I've played with Pancho (guitar) and Andrae (drums) a few times before, but tonight marked my first chance to perform with bassist Daniel Rhodes. He's a solid player, and I enjoyed my first gig with him! I'm back at Moonshine & Ale Friday and Saturday for piano bar, so come see me!

Overflowing crowds came to see the request piano & drum show in New Braunfels tonight! We had a great show with your typical bachelorettes and birthday parties, but a ton of songs filled the top of the piano. We had a guest piano player come and do few tunes, too, which was fun to watch. I was humbled by the sheer number of people who approached me on my break to let me know how much they enjoyed my playing. Made me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Bachelorettes were out in force in New Braunfels tonight! David Lee and I kept them rocking all night. As David was on the piano, a woman brought up her request with a plate of tacos as a tip. Yep. A full plate of tacos. Look at the picture. Plate of tacos. Yep.

Piano night in Victoria, Texas was fun tonight with the great Chris Wallis on drums. We took lots of requests including Tears For Fears, Katy Perry, and Johnny Cash. Like our previous shows, we had so many requests, we couldn't get to them all, but we had fun tryin'. See you again in September, Victoria!

San Marcos, Texas welcomed DanHolmesGroup tonight for our Tuesday night show under the stars. Joining me on stage was Kevin Humphrey and Roger Glenn. We even had a guest vocalist named Bruce jump up and sing a couple tunes with us! I had lots of fun with the fellas tonight, and some good news; starting at the end of August, we will be performing at Tantra every Tuesday night!

Purple Rain and many other songs were played tonight in San Antonio. Purple Rain and other songs were also good for getting the crowd to sing along. Purple Rain and some other tunes were also danced to. Purple Rain is the only song I remember playing tonight.
