Moonshine & Ale 3/17/24
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Heather and I played in New Braunfels tonight to celebrate the holiday. Everyone was dressed in their best green clothing and enjoyed their beers. It was a little more laid-back than last night, but people were still into our show and requesting songs all night. Heather sounded great as always, and I’ve really enjoyed our 5-night run of shows together this week. We’ll be back together on Thursday for Live Band Karaoke at Moonshine & Ale!

Moonshine & Ale 3/16/24
We had a busy Saturday night in New Braunfels! Heather and I were joined by our good friend, drummer Chris Wallis at 10pm, and we all had a bunch of fun together. Some people were out celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early, some birthdays and some other celebrations were going on all during our show. After we finished, we headed back to my house just as a storm blew in, so we hung out and watched it while playing with my blue-light bubble gun!

Moonshine & Ale 3/15/24
I love Heather! She makes life so easy, and we always have fun together. Tonight, we had lots of people who came out to see us that we recognized from other shows, including when we perform for Live Band Karaoke on Thursdays. We laughed our way through a 3.5 hour set, and we’re coming back for more on Saturday and Sunday this week. Join us!

Moonshine & Ale 3/14/23
I like when the staff at Moonshine & Ale gets a chance to sing with us during Live Band Karaoke on Thursdays. Heather and I were joined tonight by Mark on guitar. We had lots of singers, and it made the night fly by. Heather and I will be back for piano bar Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday, so come see us!

Boot Ranch 3/13/24
We spent our afternoon in Fredericksburg, TX, poolside. We played a two-hour, non-stop request show, and we made some new fans! Everyone was really nice there. The crowd sent us lots of requests, and kids danced around while we played them. It was a good afternoon.

Plaza Tower 3/9/24
We performed in Tyler, TX, for a reception tonight. We played a dueling pianos show, along with drummer Chris Wallis. Everyone was excited, happy, and ready to celebrate as we played the songs people were requesting. It was a fun night! When we arrived, several people knew us from shows they’d seen us perform in New Braunfels, San Marcos, and Victoria, and they were thrilled we were there to do the show. Congratulations to newlyweds Emily and Greg!

Moonshine & Ale 3/8/24
Heather and I performed at one of our favorite venues tonight. Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels, TX, is our home away from home. We had lots of bachelorette parties and birthdays celebrating with us this evening, and we even had newlyweds come straight from their wedding over to hang with us for a nightcap! Heather is such a joy to work with, and I love her tons. The two of us will return to New Braunfels, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and also Sunday for a special St. Patrick’s Day show next week, so join us!

Moonshine & Ale 3/7//24
We got the band back together for Live Band Karaoke tonight in New Braunfels. Pancho, Heather and I had bunches of fun while backing up all the singers we had join us on stage. It was packed tonight, and Heather did a great job keeping the show moving forward. Pancho and I traded licks and made each other laugh throughout the evening. After the show, we had many great compliments, but my favorite was from a fellow who took the time to talk to each of us individually to say how impressed he was with our musicianship, but also with how we present ourselves on stage, and how welcoming and supportive we were for all the singers. It made me feel good to have someone really notice!

Darwin’s Pub 3/6/24
I had the night off, but Darwin’s needed a player tonight, so I headed up to 6th Street in Austin. Roger Glenn was on drums, and I really enjoyed playing with him again. He’s a talented dude and a good friend. We took requests from 9:30 PM till 12:30 AM, and it was everything from Supertramp to Alicia Keys. Thanks to Darwin for having me come play the show with Roger!

Friends Bar 3/5/24
I had a great time performing with the Long Lost Locals tonight on 6th Street. Nathan Hanners, Luis Balderas, and Micah Roark all sounded great on their respective instruments. Christine showed up about halfway through and took this shot of us!

Old Kress Live 3/2/24
Our second of two nights in Corpus Christi was packed! We had everything from Nirvana to Mazzy Star requested tonight. We played from 10p until 1am and had plenty of requests to fill the night. We will return to Old Kress Live the first weekend of April!

Old Kress Live 3/1/24
Corpus Christi had Art Walk tonight, and we performed right in the middle of it! Heather and I took requests at Old Kress Live downtown, as we do the first Friday and Saturday of each month. We had to park very far away, and after the show, we took a scooter back to get the car. Before we got in, we looked across the bay and the moon which was reflecting on the water. Tons of little splashy fishes made it look like fireworks in the water, too. It was a fun night!

Moonshine & Ale 2/29/24
Pancho joined Heather and I in New Braunfels tonight for Live Band Karaoke. He is such a solid player and person. We love sharing the stage with him. Heather drummed and I pianoed for all the people who were brave enough to sing with us. We had a bunch of fun together, and we had many great singers, too!

Marriott River Center 2/28/24
We drove to San Antonio tonight to perform a dueling pianos show for a group from Harrison Computers. This was the last night from a four-day conference, so we did our best to make it a fun show for them! They had us set up in-the-round, and we had requests coming at us from all sides during our 2.5 hour show. Heather and I had some great conversations with the people there after we were finished! Thank you to Groove Labs for including us.

Kissing Tree 2/27/24
We performed for the fun people at Kissing Tree in San Marcos, TX, tonight. Heather and I played 3 solid hours of non-stop requests as everyone sang and danced to our songs. They really are a fun group! One of my favorite comments after the show came as lots of people were being very complimentary and saying they can’t wait until we return. A lady said to me, “I liked it, but some of the songs you chose to play, no one here knows.” I said, “Every single song we played was requested by someone in this room.” She said, “Really? You didn’t pick one song?” I said, “No.” Then she looked me in the eye and said, “You’re lazy.” She was just teasing, but we laughed about it all the way home!

The Beltonian Theatre 2/24/24
We had a great crowd for our evening show in Belton, TX, tonight. Lots of fun and unusual requests were sent up, and the people sang and cheered us on through all of them. We played many songs which don’t usually get requested, and it made our show a fun challenge for Heather and I. Everything from “Message In A Bottle” to “Hey Good Lookin’” to “Would You Go With Me” to “I’m Too Sexy” to “Mrs Robinson” to “What’s New, Pussycat?” nearly gave me musical whiplash! Before the show, we walked around downtown a bit, and I found a hidden, painted kindness rock with hearts on it. #BISDrocks I had it on my piano all night, and it made me smile whenever I saw it. Heather sounded amazing throughout all the songs she sang, and I’m so happy the crowd can tell how much we enjoy performing for everyone. We’ll be back at The Beltonian March 30!

The Beltonian Theatre 2/24/24
Heather and I had fun at our matinee show in Belton, TX, this afternoon! We had a bunch of classic rock and country tunes requested. “Runnin’ Down A Dream”, “My Maria”, “Take It Easy”, “Radio Ga Ga”, “La Grange” and “Born To Be Wild” were just a few of the songs we were asked to play. After the show, we headed to a nearby pizza place where I had a delicious salad, and now we’re waiting to take the stage again for our evening show!

Moonshine & Ale 2/13/24
Woo! DanHolmesGroup played a Mardi Gras show in New Braunfels, TX, and it was tons of fun. Bill Ritter (bass) flew in from Indianapolis to play the show with me on keys, Chris Wallis on drums, and Kevin Humphrey on guitar. Christine and Heather were there taking photos of the band and just generally being awesome. It was so great to perform with these fellas again!

The Cove Theater 2/10/24
We returned to Copperas Cove, TX, for a super-fun show! Heather and I were so happy to have the talented Bill Ritter on bass with us. He’s like my brother, and he tries to make it to Texas from Indiana once a year for a visit, and so we just brought him with us to the show. It sounded great having the bass fill out the sound on everyone’s requests. We met several new fans, and had some followers come back to this show. One of our favorite groups who always bring glow sticks was there, and one of their group is deployed to South Korea, so mid-show they FaceTimed him so he could see the show! Other than the torrential rain and thick fog, it was a really nice night.

Moonshine & Ale 2/9/24
Heather and I had a great time together tonight in New Braunfels. She and I click so well on stage that it never feels like work. We played through everyone’s requests, and we kept everyone happy and dancing. I’m so glad to have Heather as my partner!
