Bee Cave Riding Center 5/30/21

We had a totally tubular time hosting an 80s-themed trivia night in Austin! Heather and I were nervous because when we arrived, it was pouring down rain, but it cleared up enough to do the event. Thank you to Tami and Matt for inviting us to MC this night of rad trivia for them! 

Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort 5/29/21

AllRequestPiano played a special Memorial Day Weekend show for the members at Tapatio Springs out in Boerne, TX. Heather and I had a fantastic time with the people. I couldn’t believe how many requests we had brought up to us! The crowd sang along and danced all through our two-hour performance. I hope we get to come back sometime soon! 

Moonshine & Ale 5/28/21

Piano bar night in New Braunfels was packed on this stormy Friday night! Heather and I played 3.5 hours non-stop to a crowd that just kept requesting song after song and singing along. Dunno if you know this, but Hanson was requested and played, by someone whose last name was Hanson. I decided his first name was Burly, and his brothers wouldn’t let them in their band because he didn’t have blonde hair. Poor Burly Hanson. 

Moonshine & Ale 5/27/21

Heather and I played Live Band Karaoke tonight with guitarist Pancho Garza. The crowd filled the room and people sang every song they could. My favorite comment came from a guy who has only been to New Braunfels a handful of times, but every time he’s seen me, I’ve been on the drums. He came up and said that he was impressed that I learned to play piano so I could get out from behind the drums. Perspective is everything. 

Livestream 5/26/21

Tonight, a buncha Beatles and Muppets and CCR and Coldplay and Stevie Wonder and so many more artists were played. I tell ya, live-streaming is one of those unexpected good things to come out of the pandemic. It’s a great way to spend a night when I’m not booked in a club or at an event! 

Rockin J Piano Bar 5/22/21

Before Heather joined me in Cedar Park tonight, I repaired some of the club’s equipment out in the front sidewalk where I surprised by the arrival of my old friend and fellow piano player, David Lee! It was great to see David, and get to catch up a little before the show. Heather arrived and we got set up for our show to a packed house. We slammed though an amazing amount of song requests. We sang, we meowed, we swapped instruments, we laughed and we helped some people celebrate birthdays. I love my job, and I love that I can share it with Heather and an appreciative crowd! 

Rockey’s Piano Bar 5/21/21

We had such a big crowd tonight in Round Rock that we were asked to play an extra hour, which we gladly did. Heather rocked Xanadu at one point, and I did my best Bradley Cooper during “Shallow”. It was a good crowd and a fun night! 

Livestream 5/19/21

I played for a couple hours tonight on Facebook. I had quite a few 60s songs requested! I played as many as I possibly could. I didn’t know whether I was gonna be able to do a live stream tonight because I had oral surgery on Monday, but I was actually feeling pretty good, right up until the last 10 minutes, and that’s when I started feeling a little pain, so I called it a night.

Rockey’s Piano Bar 5/15/21

I’ve done a bunch of shows with Heather, and every time, I leave happy and impressed. I dunno how we continually make each other laugh for hours on end while playing requests, but we do. We swapped between drums and piano all night, and sang to a few birthday people. Pretty much just laughed our way through the night. I’m not complaining. 

Moonshine & Ale 5/14/21

Wow! What a huge night in New Braunfels! My amazing partner, Heather, and I took requests all night long. We had way more requests than we could possibly get through in one night, but we played more songs than possibly any show up to date. Heather truly is a rare talent and friend, and I’m so glad we get to perform together!

Moot Music Cafe 5/14/21

We streamed on Facebook today for a bunch of fans from around the globe (or on both sides, for flat-earthers). Heather and I made each other laugh pretty much from the first to the last note during the show. We both played several songs we’d never tried before, and even got stumped on a few. I always love doing shows with Heather! 

The Settlement 5/13/21

Heather, Chris and I played out in San Antonio this evening for a fundraiser event. Comal ISD held their 2021 spring fling in a great venue with a silent auction, contests, food and we provided the music. Heather play “Holy Diver” and I played “Hot For Teacher”, and it was our first time one those two songs. We had some great requests, and all of tips were returned to the fundraiser. We were happy to be a part of the festivities! 

Live Stream 5/12/21

Played a couple hours on AllRequestPiano tonight! I enjoyed playing the A-B-C game with my viewers, where I start by playing a song that starts with the letter A, then the next song starts with B and so on. I got some really fun and unusual requests throughout the night, I look forward to continuing my Wednesday night show (formerly on the Quarantine Keys page) now on AllRequestPiano! Quarantine Keys was great, but they have gone back to many in-person shows, so they’re pulling back on the livestreams. 

Old Settler’s Park 5/12/21

For my third show for the ladies at the Round Rock New Neighbors meeting, I met them in the Lakeview Pavilion. This is always a fun group! It was a windy, cool show from 12:15p-1:15p. Lots of dancing kept them warm. I was supposed to do their Holiday event last December, but Covid made them cancel it. I’m so glad I was able to do this one! Also, they’ve welcomed me back for their holiday show this December, so I’ll see the ladies then! 

Rockey’s Piano Bar Houston 5/8/21

I played the piano bar near NASA tonight known as Rockey’s, with drummer Calvin Parker. I know a crazy amount of songs, and the crowd was testing me in every direction they could. I let my hair down for a stirring rendition of  “Pony”, I made the crowd sit silently while I played some Norah Jones, they danced like crazy people to “Copacabana”, bopped in their chairs to some Notorious B.I.G., and did my best through a slightly insane version of  “Devil Went Down To Georgia”. Calvin followed me in every direction I went, and I got a bunch of compliments after the show! 

Rockin J Piano Bar 5/7/21

I traveled up to Cedar Park with my good friend, dummer Chris Wallis. We took requests for our three-hour show, and had a great group of people in the club. It wasn’t super busy, but that didn’t stop us from having fun with everyone there! “Heart Of Rock N Roll”, “Back In The U.S.S.R.”, “Enter Sandman” and “No Diggity” were some of the random tunes requested. I enjoyed gigging with Chris, and I really appreciate him filling in for Heather tonight! 

Moonshine & Ale 5/6/21

Tonight in New Braunfels for Live Band Karaoke, I got to share the stage with Michael Atkins for the first time. We’ve circled each other for a while, but it was good to finally gig with him. He was covering for my partner Heather, who had a family emergency and couldn’t make it. Pancho (on guitar) was as good as ever, and we all had fun backing up the singers from the crowd. After the show, Andrae Blissett stopped outside to say hi. It was good to see everyone and play some music. 

Quarantine Keys 5/5/21

Wednesday night on Facebook was full of ‘80s tunes this week. Everything from “Owner Of A Lonely Heart” to “Mexican Radio” to “Video Killed The Radio Star” was played. I also found out that some people have been watching on Twitch. I didn’t even know QK did simultaneous casts on Facebook and Twitch. Guess I’m Twitching now. Lol!

Moot Music Cafe Fundraiser 5/2/21

I played an hour set to help raise money for KeepStreetsLive.com on Facebook via Zoom. I was in great company with a slew of musicians from around the world. I hope they raised a ton of money, and I’d be happy to come help anytime!

Rockey’s Piano Bar 4/30/21

Heather and I had a great time in Round Rock, TX, tonight. We met Max from the stage, and he was celebrating his birthday. Max is pictured wearing his finest AllRequestPiano sticker. Heather and I made each other laugh a bunch all night long. So happy to share the stage with her! Oh, and, happy birthday, Max!
