Rockett Cafe & Club 4/25/26

Due to a strange turn out of events, Heather and I unexpectedly played a show in Waxahachie, TX, with the Eighty Eights Show Joel Henry! We originally were booked for a show in Fredericksburg, but Friday afternoon, the venue called me to let me know they had mistakenly double booked Saturday, so they couldn’t have us. While I was on the phone with them, Joel sent me a text asking if we were available for a last-minute fill in, so everything worked out great. Joel had everything ready to go when we arrived, so we played from 9:30p-12:30a while rotating breaks. It was about 3.5 hours from home, but we were happy to drive up to help Joel out which also helped us out. It was a fun night!

Muck and Fuss 4/24/26

DanHolmesGroup performed for three hours in New Braunfels tonight! Heather played bass, and I preprogrammed the drums on a machine. We played lots of New Orleans songs and my originals. We ran into a bunch of fans who were excited to see us, which made us feel great. After our show, we went down to Moonshine & Ale for a bit, and ran into more fans. I had fun at our show, and fun hanging out with Heather!

Moonshine & Ale 4/23/26

Pancho was off tonight, so Josh Holmes filled the guitar chair for Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels. I forgot to get a picture with him, so Heather and I took a selfie after the show, and I asked Josh to send me a pic, and this was the result. Epicness. We had a great crowd until our break, when something happened outside with a bunch of flashing lights,  and a lots of people left as it was going on. It didn’t have anything to do with us, so we played and the crowd sang right up until midnight. Lots of our regulars came out, and it was fun to play all these songs with Josh. Tomorrow night, Heather and I will be performing some New Orleans music and my originals at Muck and Fuss in New Braunfels, 7p-10p. Come hang out!

Otto’s Ice House 4/19/26

Gumbo Ya Ya invited me to perform with them yesterday afternoon in San Antonio at Otto’s Ice House for a crawfish boil. We played from 2p-5p outside, and it lightly rained through most of that time, but there was enough cover for everyone to still enjoy the day. David Henderson was great on guitar, and Kenny Felton knows his way around all my favorite New Orleans beats which made for a fun afternoon!

Moonshine & Ale 4/18/26

Tonight was 2000s night at Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels, so I put on my best 2000s outfit and ended up accidentally dressing exactly like our buddy Poncho. He showed up for a bit, and I instantly started laughing because we were matching so thoroughly. Heather looked great in her tank top and tie. Jay was on drums tonight at 10 PM, and he had a good look as well. We had a ton of requests and couldn’t get through all of them, but we made it through the vast majority. The crowd was in a good mood, and the staff all dressed up as well. Everyone looked great, and I’m glad Heather and I got to be a part of it!

Moonshine & Ale 4/17/26

Heather and I did our show in New Braunfels, TX, tonight.  We had some very fun songs requested, and quite a bit that we don’t usually get. I enjoy that we get to make people happy, and that our show brings together a wide variety of people. I also love when unexpected things happen like towards the end of the night, a couple got engaged during “Piano Man”! It means a lot that people want to share their special moments during our show. Heather and I want to extend our very best wishes to the newly engaged couple! Congratulations!

Moonshine & Ale 4/16/26

We had some new faces at Live Band Karaoke tonight, plus a bunch of our regulars. Our drummer buddy Ryan Hall sang one with us, as did our long time karaoke-singer friend Sam! Thursdays are a bunch of fun, and we always get the nicest compliments from people. Heather and I will be playing at Moonshine & Ale all weekend!

Moonshine & Ale 4/11/26

Heather and I were joined in New Braunfels tonight with the great Alex Lugwa on drums. We got a chance to sing several duets together, and a bunch of other songs we don’t normally get to do. “Time After Time”, “Jackson”, “The Loco-motion”, and “Pontoon” are just a few examples of some songs we played. Alex was a joy to work with, and Heather is one of my bestest friends, so it made for a fun evening!

Moonshine & Ale 4/9/26

We had a full house in New Braunfels, TX, for Live Band Karaoke. A bunch of our friends from the tennis ranch showed up, as well as some regulars like Elton, Frank, Damon, and Kayla. This is my first show back after being off for about 10 days, and I enjoyed performing again. Heather and I will be back at Moonshine both Friday and Saturday for piano bar.
