Corpus Christi Moonshine & Ale 8/30/19

Much bigger crowd tonight in Corpus Christi for the show I played with Sami Davis (and drummer Josh). We took requests from 8:30p-1:30a and had a fun time playing all the completely random songs. We had a couple of people come back in again from last night, and they even got to hear tunes that I didn’t know I knew. Music rules. 

Corpus Christi Moonshine & Ale 8/29/19

I performed for the first time tonight with Sami Davis (no, not THAT one) and had fun with our small Thursday night crowd. We had a few great tables that hung out all evening with us. After the show was over, we hung around and spoke with people who were saying kind things about us. Nice people! 

Moonshine & Ale 8/24/19

David Lee, Jay Russell and I played to a packed house all night in New Braunfels, TX. Jay told me at the end of the night that we played a bunch of songs that he’d never played before. I’m not sure which ones, because he sounded great on all of them. I’m glad that I got to spend the whole weekend with David, because I don’t get a chance to play with him much. He’s a good guy, and a talented musician. 

Moonshine & Ale 8/23/19

David Lee and I had a great crowd in New Braunfels, TX, tonight! I played a little flat-top keytar (where I laid it on the piano instead of wearing it) as people danced. We had tons of requests and good vibes all night. I’ll be back tomorrow with David, so come and see us! 

Moonshine & Ale 8/22/19

Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, TX, went well tonight, all except for one fella who decided to rather offensively change the words to a song, and then didn’t understand why we didn’t let him finish. Andrae, Pancho and I do our very best to keep a light, fun vibe for everyone who wishes to participate, and I’d like to apologize to the crowd for what that guy said, and just know that we love 99.9% of you who come out to sing. Our stage is and will be a safe space. Other than that one brief moment, it was a really fun night, and I enjoyed performing with Andrae and Pancho! 

TKO’s Bar-Grill-Music 8/17/19

Shiner, TX, was the scene of our big Saturday night show! We had a PACKED house, and bunches of requests. Chris Wallis (drums) and I played a solid 9p-midnight show, and kept the crowd engaged and singing all night. I’m glad to head back to Shiner whenever they’d like to have us back! 

Moonshine & Ale 8/16/19

It’s always amazing to me how consistently great the crowd is in New Braunfels, Texas! Tommy Raye and I took requests all night long, and had nothing but compliments after the show from the crowd. I feel very fortunate that I get to play music for a living, and do it in front of an appreciative crowd!

Moonshine & Ale 8/15/19

It was a slow start to Live Band Karaoke tonight in New Braunfels, TX, but the crowd eventually trickled in. Pancho, Andrae and I did our very best to keep everyone entertained by playing the music behind each guest vocalists. I’ll be back tomorrow night to take requests for piano bar! 

Zydeco’s 8/4/19

Sunday brunch at Zydeco’s was delicious and fun! I love performing with Steve Brunner and Bill Ritter, and two shows in a row together is something we haven’t had the chance to do in a long time. These guys are great. Christine took a bunch of cool pictures for us, and Deb got in on our selfie game. I miss being a regular around these parts, but it does make every return trip special! As we played, we noticed people lining up outside on the sidewalk, and to our surprise, a parade started! I don’t know what it was for, so I just told everyone it was for me. 

Zydeco’s 8/3/19

Reunited! DanHolmesGroup played in Mooresville, IN, tonight. I love getting a chance to hang out with Bill Ritter and Steve Brunner, especially with all of our friends and family at Zydeco’s. Such great food and a bunch of good people willing to listen to all the music I’ve written, and a bunch of tunes I love written by some of my favorite artists. Bill and Steve rock, and we’ll do it again tomorrow morning for brunch! 

Moonshine & Ale 8/2/19

Blackout! We had a great show in New Braunfels, Texas! Hailey and I teamed up and switched back and forth between drums and piano all night, right up until our last song when all of the part of town we were in lost power. The street went dark and the emergency lights blinked on, and we had the crowd so pumped up, they sang a few more tunes in the dark. You just never know what’s gonna happen!

Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, TX, went well tonight with Andrae and Mark. We did what we do, and the people sang all over us. We had a few unusual songs picked tonight, which keeps the gig fun for me. I like playing songs I don’t usually get a chance to play!
