Quarantine Keys 12/30/20

For my last livestream of 2020, I was on QK for about 2 hours. I can’t believe how much 2020 has forced all of us to be online together, but it really has given me a way to feel like I’m still connected, as well as meet a bunch of new people. Thanks to Quarantine Keys for giving me another outlet to perform, and I’ll be back on next Wednesday to celebrate  2021!

Moonshine & Ale 12/26/20

I’m so happy that I get to share the stage with one of my absolute best friends. We did our Christmas gift exchange before heading to our show tonight, and she gave me an awesome Wookie painting! Told ya she was one of my best friends. We had a good time tonight playing people’s requests in New Braunfels. Ryan Carroll joined us on stage to play drums at 10p, and Heather & I played the show with him right up to 1a. The crowd always gets sucked into our energy, and they always end up following us down whatever musical road we take.

Livestream 12/23/20

Man!!! I had fun tonight on the livestream! A bunch of friends were on, sending me great requests, and it ended with me breaking out the keytar. My partner, Heather, showed up with her family, and I had my brand new gift from my wife, which is a pillow of my wife, which is hilariously awesome. I played about 2.5 hours and got a chance to wish everyone Merry Christmas, so in my book, it was a great night!

Quarantine Keys 12/22/20

I had a great group on Facebook tonight, watching me on the QK page! Lots and lots of requests while I played on a random Tuesday (instead of my normal Wednesday) for about 3 hours. Of course, quite a few Christmas songs were requested and played, but also a bunch of other tunes. My wife even made a rare appearance in the audience which made me super-happy!

Moonshine & Ale 12/20/20

Music of the Beatles! I’m so excited when we get a chance to perform this show! Brett, Pancho, Cameron, Philip and I played three hours worth of Beatles music in New Braunfels. This is a super talented group of individuals, all sharing a common love of Paul, George, John and Ringo. It’s therapeutic for me to be able to play with a band like this every once in a while. There’s just so much joy in everyone on the stage and in the crowd loving the exact same kind of music at the same time that’s indescribable. Thank you to everyone who came out to watch, and thank you to those who watched online. We hope to do it again sometime!

Rockin J 12/19/20

It was a busy night in Cedar Park. Heather and I performed our show together again, and had a crazy amount of requests to get though. We swapped off between drums and piano every half-hour, and the crowd loved the show! Heather played a bunch of impressive tunes tonight, and I pulled out a few I’ve never tried, too. She has helped me make this weekend a rousing success. She’s been with me about 55 hours and during that time, we’ve been on stage 13 total hours, on the road 7 hours, gone to an audiologist appointment, charted and recorded a single-song track for Facebook, watched a couple episodes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and food and rest took up some time. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Heather rocks!

Rockin J 12/18/20

Our third of three shows tonight took place in Cedar Park. We had an amazing time with tons of requests. Heather is a force of nature, and she always impresses me. There were so many requests that we had a hard time keeping up, but we did our best. We had some friends show up from New Braunfels to see the show, which made the evening more special.

Crowson Wines 12/18/20

For our second of three shows today, Heather and I traveled to Johnson City, TX. It was nice weather to perform on the patio! We had a bunch of requests, and we took turns playing them on the piano for the people. It was a great gig with cool folks, and then we had to shut down and tear down fast to get to our third show of the evening in Cedar Park!

Moot Music Cafe 12/18/20

We played for our overseas friends on Facebook live for our first of three shows today. Heather and I were making each other laugh, and laughing along with Frankie the monkey on Mars. We had to make it a short shoe today because our next show is in Johnson City, TX, about an hour away! Thanks, Moot, for the showtime!

Moonshine & Ale 12/17/20

Heather and I dominated Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels tonight! Well, at least, I dominated the keys and she dominated the bass (while Pancho dominated the guitar, and Greg drummed).  At one point, Heather and I swapped, and she dominated the keys while I dominated the bass. Note to self: look up a synonym for dominate.

Quarantine Keys 12/16/20

Another Wednesday livestream on QK went great this week! I had a bunch of friends watching and participating which always makes it more fun. I appreciate the platform QK has created, and I’ll see everyone next Wednesday!

Blake Street Sports Bar 12/12/20

Do you have one of those friends who is the yin to your yang? I’m happy to say I have one in Heather. We hung out all day in Columbus, Texas, before we loaded in for our show. Went to a couple of antique stores, but mostly walked around and saw the sites. During our trip, I learned that her back up camera looks like the literal picture of stairway to heaven. We had a good crowd, and the show was a lot of fun. Lots of requests were made, and everyone was really happy with our show. We were invited back, so I’m sure we will see people in Columbus again in the near future!

Greek Bros Oyster Bar & Grill 12/11/20

I love performing at Greek Bros in El Campo, TX! We always have a good time, and the crowd is great to us. Chris Wallis (drums) joined up with Heather and I to play a three-hour show, after we ate some dinner and played some pool. Heather is a rock star, and she showed the people how it’s done. I broke out the keytar on more than one occasion during the show just to add a little sumpin’ sumpin’. I will always be grateful for fun shows with great friends. I’ve got nothing but respect for Chris and Heather!

Moonshine & Ale 12/10/20

There were a lot of new faces at Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, Texas, tonight. Pancho, Ryan, and I also had the pleasure of backing up some of our regulars, and they helped us educate the people who haven’t done it before. We also had several people interested in coming back for our all-Beatles show on December 20, which I’m very excited for!

Quarantine Keys 12/9/20

I broke out the tiny keytar just to play the demo for the crowd on QK tonight online. The demo is the song “Last Christmas”, which is the first version of the song I had ever heard. I still don’t really know the song, but it sure was fun singing along to my very first keyboard’s demo version of it. I might have to make it a Christmas tradition.

Live Stream 12/6/20

I played on Facebook tonight. A bunch of fans popped on, and we shared some music and laughs. With Christmas right around the corner, I had several holiday songs requested, but my favorite by far was “12 Days Of Christmas” for a member of the Lyons Den. I got pretty goofy with it, and brought some joy to the other side of the world!

Moonshine & Ale 12/5/20

It’s truly insane how many requests we got tonight. Heather and I started the show at 8:30 PM, and the piano top already had a bunch of requests ready for us. Ryan joined us on drums at 10 PM, and we tried to keep up on all of the songs right to the end of the show at 1 AM. One thing this year has taught me is to be thankful for what I have because you never know when it’s going to be taken away. I am extremely grateful for Heather as a friend and a musician for always going the extra mile, and always cheering me up. Ryan did great on drums and backing vocals, and Heather and I enjoyed sharing the stage with him. Thanks to everyone in New Braunfels for making it a good night!

Rockin J Piano Bar 12/4/20

Heather and I played for the second time tonight at Rockin J. Request after request hit the piano, both in analog and digital forms, and we played them all! We swapped between piano and drums about every half hour, which is always fun. Heather is my perfect partner, and the crowd loves our show. We got a steady stream of compliments after we finished, which made me feel great!

Moonshine & Ale 12/3/20

I played Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels, TX, with Pancho Garza and Greg Galindo tonight. This was supposed to be Wassailfest tonight, and although  it was canceled, people were still out for the lighting of the circle. Heather and I will return to Moonshine & Ale for piano bar this Saturday night.

Quarantine Keys 12/2/20

My show on QK on Facebook tonight was full of friends and fans, and my partner Heather even jumped on for a bit! I like when people are involved in the show and chatting to each other while requesting songs. It makes me feel good. Thanks everyone for hanging out tonight!

Crowson Wines 11/29/20

Oooooo, it was a cold one in Johnson City, TX, tonight! I warmed up with a glass of wine on the patio and played a bunch of requests from 5p-8p. I was loving all the songs folks were giving me by artists like The Beatles, The Band, Dr. John, Thin Lizzy, and Phil Collins, plus a bunch more. After the show, I went around and saw the amazing light displays all over town before heading home.

Moonshine & Ale 11/28/20

New Braunfels was full of people, all requesting tunes tonight. Ryan played drums for Heather and I as we ran through all of the songs. Heather is an amazing friend and musician, and I’m so happy whenever we share the stage. I’ve got respect for Ryan, too, for keeping up with all the random tunes we were throwing his way. After the show, we made a stop at Buc-ee’s for some snacks and to say goodbye until next weekend for more fun.

Rockin J Piano Bar 11/27/20

Tonight was our first night at Rockin J Piano Bar in Cedar Park, TX. Heather and I had fun, as usual, performing everyone’s requests. The owners were really nice and very complimentary of our show, which was great to hear. We have a couple more dates on the books at this new venue, and we’re looking forward to a good working relationship with the club!

Ikels Wedding 11/27/20

Heather and I drove to The Allen Farmhaus in New Braunfels to perform at the ceremony of Samantha Bartos and Brandon Ikels. It was held in an open-air venue, and the ceremony was beautiful! The temperature dropped just before they started and it threatened to rain, but everyone stayed dry and cool.  I’ve know Sam and Brandon for several years now, and I’m so honored they asked me to come perform. I included a picture from last night where they joined us on stage for Live Band Karaoke because I love that they do things like karaoke together. Side note: I’m proud Brandon was able to keep his shirt on through the whole ceremony. Congratulations to the newlyweds!
