Houston Rockey’s Piano Bar 3/27/21

I stopped by my brother’s house in Katy on my way to my gig near NASA tonight. It was nice to see him, my sister-in-law, and my nephew for a minute. I believe I haven’t seen them sense the pandemic started. I’ve then met up with my partner Heather and her fiancĂ© at a comic book & toy shop, where we saw all kinds of cool collectibles. We grabbed a bite to eat together, and then headed over to our show. We played three hours of music for everyone, and had a huge stack of requests to keep us busy for the night. The crowd sang, laughed, had wardrobe malfunctions, drinks, and fun! Heather sounded amazing, and hanging out with her this weekend has really lifted my spirits. It’s starting to feel a little more normal each time we get a chance to play together!

Running M Bar & Grill 3/26/21

Heather and I met up in Gonzales, Texas, tonight for our show. We had a lot of fun performing tonight for the crowd of people who showed up to see us. We had them dancing in the aisles! There were quite a few people in town to run a race, and we had a great time calling out the different team names and playing songs for them. I laughed a ton tonight as Heather and I joked around in between songs. I absolutely love the fact that I have such an amazing partner, and she and I are ready to come back to Gonzalez any time they’ll have us!

Rockin J Piano Bar 3/25/21

I played a solo show in Cedar Park tonight. I had many requests throughout the night. I also brought my drum machine and used it for a few tunes here and there. I’m happy everyone had a good time! I missed my partner Heather tonight, but we’ll be together tomorrow and Saturday!

Quarantine Keys 3/24/21

I played a couple hours on the QK page on Facebook again tonight for my weekly Wednesday show. I had quite a few friends jumping on and off throughout the set. I hadn’t realized that I’d never played “Whatever Gets You Through The Night” until it was requested. That’s a fun tune!

Seguin Bar & Billiards 3/20/21

We traveled to Seguin, TX, for a show tonight. People were very responsive to our show, though it was a brand new concept for many in the crowd. Heather and I swapped off between drums and piano for a full 4-hour long, non-stop request show. I’m so happy I get to travel around playing shows with one of my best friends. I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I had just laughing throughout the show with her!

Rockin J Piano Bar 3/19/21

We played in Cedar Park, TX, tonight to an appreciative crowd! Heather and I swapped between piano and drums, like we do, about every half-hour. We make a great team, and the people tonight could tell. We received lots of great compliments after our show, and let people know how to find us online. Another successful show for the books!

Moonshine & Ale 3/18/21

I was the drummer for Live Band Karaoke tonight in New Braunfels. Heather was on keys, and Pancho played guitar. We ran through lots of songs with random singers. I’m glad I got to share the stage with both Heather and Pancho tonight!

Moonshine & Ale 3/17/21

Heather and I spent our St Patrick’s Day on stage together in New Braunfels! The place was packed, and we had lots of requests. About halfway through, the club completely turned over with new people, and then started winding down around 11p. They told me that people don’t like to stay out past 11p on work nights. I really think it’s because they started drinking at 8a today. Ha!

Quarantine Keys 3/17/21

I did my thing tonight on the QK page on Facebook, but only for an hour, because I have a live show tonight in New Braunfels with my partner Heather! People gave me some great song requests online, and it was a good warm-up for my show tonight. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to my QK friends!

Moonshine & Ale 3/13/21

Our show in New Braunfels was fantastic tonight! Heather and I made each other laugh as we sang and played requests all night. There was a big crowd right from the beginning of the show, and they cheered for us when we arrived, which was the best way to start the show. We played from 8:30p to 1a, and Greg joined us on drums at 10p. We had tons of requests all night long. Heather is such a great person, and I’m always proud to share the stage with her!

Rockin’ J Piano Bar 3/12/21

The world would be a better place if everyone had a partner like Heather to work with! Even when I don’t feel the best, just by being her, she can snap me back into having a ton of fun and really enjoying performing. We had a great time together in Cedar Park, Texas, and after the show, someone even came up to tell us how impressed he was by our nonstop energy. We will return to Cedar Park next Friday, so I hope everyone will get to come back and see the show!

Moot Music Cafe 3/12/21

Thank you to Moot Cafe for the show and all the support tonight! I had a great time with “virtual Heather”, my drum machine. Lots of really nice comments and song requests flew by during my 2+ hour show. Now that I’m done there, I’m heading to meet real Heather in Cedar Park, TX, for our gig tonight!

Quarantine Keys 3/10/21

I hung out with a few people tonight on the QK page on Facebook, but it was a slow evening. I’m sure people are starting to get out a little again after being in lockdown for so long. I still had fun playing!

Sweet Home Hall 3/6/21

It feels great when you have a night go as well as our night went in Sweet Home, TX, tonight. Heather and I made the drive out for what was supposed to be a 2-1/2 hour show, but ended up being nearly 4 hours long because the crowd was so happy and involved! We performed a dueling pianos show to a crowd that wasn’t used to what we do, and they took a little while to figure us out, but once they got it, they didn’t back down with the requests. They really made us feel good and welcome, and I hope we get to do more shows out this way regularly!

Jack’s Roadhouse 3/5/21

It’s been way too long since I’ve played at Jack’s
In San Marcos. We had a bunch of out to watch our show tonight, and it went so well that we played an extra hour. It was Heather’s first night performing here, but I’d played at Jack’s lots with my original band. They seemed to really enjoy what we did and it looks like we may be coming back at some point in the future for another show!

Moonshine & Ale 3/4/21

After we ate some dinner, Heather and I met up with guitarist Pancho Garza in New Braunfels for Live Band Karaoke tonight. I love playing LBK shows with those two! We had some really great experienced singers, and we had some people who had never tried karaoke before, but everyone had a good time. I always like it when things go smoothly and tonight was one of those nights.

Quarantine Keys 3/3/21

Over on Facebook tonight, I played on the QK page, and had lots and lots of requests for Beatles! I love when I have a good crowd of people who are interested in hearing lots of random songs that I don’t normally get to play.  I’ll be back next Wednesday to see what the crowd wants to hear!
