Moonshine & Ale 6/26/21

AllRequestPiano represented Saturday night in New Braunfels to a packed house! Heather and I set up a little early with a new wireless rig, and it worked perfectly. We could hear each other with clarity, and it made a huge difference to how we could interact. The crowd was more than half out-of-towners, and we had fans there all the way from New Mexico. Thanks to everyone who participated in our show!

Moonshine & Ale 6/24/21

We played Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels tonight. So many people packed the house, and we had some good singers. Pancho played guitar, Heather drummed, and I was on keys for the singers. Always a good time at Moonshine & Ale! 

Rockin J Piano Bar 6/19/21

My kindest wish for the world is, I hope you have a friend even half as great as Heather. She always impresses me with her talents, and she compliments my show perfectly, and the crowd loves our energy. This was my 2nd show today, so she took care of lots of things tonight so I wouldn’t be stressed. Thank you, Cedar Park, for another great night, and a big thank you to Heather just for being her.

House Concert 6/19/21

This afternoon, I traveled to Round Rock, Texas, to perform a solo piano show for a family gathering. This was the first time they had been able to get together since the pandemic, and it was great to see everyone laughing and singing together! Three different couples were celebrating their anniversary, so I was able to play their wedding songs for each of them. I played from 1p-2p, and they were involved right from the first song. A big thank you to Dianne and Don for having me entertain a fun family!

Seguin Bar & Billiards 6/18/21

We put our show in Seguin, TX, tonight! Heather and I played from 10p-1:30a, and had lots of great requests. There were about a half-dozen birthdays in the house, and we helped them all celebrate. Today was lots of fun with Heather. We went swimming earlier in the day, and walked around Seguin before our gig, where we saw the World’s Largest Pecan. Never a dull moment!

Another full night for Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels on the books! Heather and I were joined by Pancho on guitar. Heather cycled though as many singers as time would allow. I am always glad to work with these two great musicians! 

The Vineyards at Chappell Lodge 6/13/21

Newlyweds Zach & Carolina McKinley had AllRequestPiano perform for the ceremony and the reception tonight in Austin, TX. I played during the ceremony, and the Heather and I took requests at the reception. Their friends and family were a lovely group of people, and they had great song selections. The midday ceremony was hot, but everyone found shade under the big trees. The evening cooled down, and after the show, Heather spotted an armadillo. We appreciated being a part of the happy couple’s big day. Congratulations, Zach & Carolina! 

Blake Street Sports Bar 6/12/21

We performed in Columbus, TX, tonight, and my brother, sister-in-law, & nephew all showed up to cheer us on! Heather and I laughed our way through three hours of non-stop requests. I don’t remember anything we said or did that was funny, but it must’ve been good because my face hurts from smiling all night. I was happy to catch up a bit with my family, and had a great time performing with Heather! Thanks, Blake Street crew for being so good to us! 

Moonshine & Ale 6/11/21

Dang! It was packed in New Braunfels tonight! Heather and I slammed through our 3.5 hour show like it was nothing because of the amazing amount of requests people brought up. Heather and I kept people dancing right up until closing. I love my job. 

Moot Music Cafe 6/11/21

We played on Facebook this afternoon in Moot for a buncha people around the world! Live-streaming has become a fun outlet for me, but it’s so much better with Heather. Now, I gotta go get ready for our in-person show in New Braunfels tonight…

Moonshine & Ale 6/10/21

At Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels tonight, Heather and I were joined by my old buddy, Kevin Humphrey on guitar! Heather rocked the drums all night while I was on keys. We had so many singers and song requests, it was almost overwhelming! One of our regulars, Sam, was celebrating her birthday, so it was great to be able to back her up with music a couple times. Overall, it was a good night, and so much fun to perform with Kevin again! Side note: This weekend is Officer Bill’s last weekend for a while keeping us safe at the front door. Hope to see him again soon! 

Rockey’s Piano Bar 6/5/21

My second show of the day was with my amazing partner, Heather. We are really good for each other, and the crowd told us so many times over the course of our show in Round Rock, TX. People came up and told us face-to-face, they wrote us notes, and one of my favorites came in through Venmo with a nice tip. It said, and I quote: “YOU TWO HAVE PROVIDED THE MOST FUN IV EVER HAD IN A BAR EVER AND ANY WHEre!!!!!!!!!” This is why I love working with Heather so much. People can tell we love to share the stage. 

Krause Springs 6/5/21

My good buddy Ian Lee invited me out to do a song swap with him and his band for an early Tejas Trails event. I left my house about 6:45 AM to meet up with them at 8 AM, so we could get started by 9 AM. Those of you who know me know I usually don’t go to bed until somewhere around these numbers. I was happy to get up and go play a show with these three fellas. We played a bunch of western swing and a bunch of my originals as we swapped songs back-and-forth. Curtis Sigurd on base is rock-solid, and I’ve played with him on several other shows before. Adrian Voorhies was on drums, and I hope I get to play with him some more in the future! I miss getting to play with Ian regularly, so I’ll take it any chance I can get it. There were some light rain here and there, but we stayed dry under our pop-up tents. After the show, I actually went down and took a dip in Krause Springs!

Rockin J 6/3/21

I played a solo piano show in Cedar Park, Texas, tonight. There were a lot of people there, and they were very much into the show! They were singing along, dancing, and requesting songs all night. it was definitely a good way to spend Thursday night!

Livestream 6/2/21

I played an eclectic mix of tunes tonight on Facebook. You know it’s all over the place when Barry Manilow followed a Metallica tune. I had some good people on tonight giving me great requests, and I hope more people will join in next week!
