Moonshine & Ale 9/18/25

Heather, Pancho and I sang a bunch tonight at Live Band Karaoke. It was a slower night everywhere in downtown New Braunfels, but we kept playing and letting people get up to sing with us as we do every Thursday. It was great to see some familiar faces come out to sing with us! Friday night, we will be in Cedar Park at Rockin J, and then Saturday we take our show to Victoria for our friends at Moonshine Drinkery. Hope to see you there!

Moonshine & Ale 9/13/25

On our way to New Braunfels, Heather and I were passed by 50+ sport bikes on I-35, popping wheelies and threading between cars. Christine and I experienced a similar thing in Nashville, TN, years ago, except all the bikes there were in a high speed chase with the police, and simultaneously, a water tower fell over and crashed into the ground. Fortunately, nothing like that happened while we made our way to Moonshine & Ale. Josh Spence was drumming with us tonight, and the show went well. Afterwords, Heather and I made our way back up the interstate, halfway expecting to see all those bikes again. Craziness!

Moonshine & Ale 9/12/25

Friday night in New Braunfels went well at Moonshine & Ale for Heather and me. We played everything from some Stevie Ray Vaughn to Stevie Nicks and lots of other artists not named Stevie. Our friends from the tennis camp down that way showed up and brought the energy with them! We had a couple tables of people who kept coming up to tip us just because they couldn’t believe we knew so many songs. It’s nice to be appreciated!

Moonshine & Ale 9/11/25

Sometimes we get goofy at Live Band Karaoke, and tonight, the three of us were having a good time together. We had a bunch of really good singers, and they were picking lots of our new songs we’ve recently added to our list. I love my musical buddies! Pancho is so good on his guitar, and Heather just keeps getting stronger on drums every week. So talented! Heather and I will be back all weekend, so come see us.

Old Kress Live 9/6/25

Our last performance at Old Kress Live wrapped up a two-year run for us. The staff is great, and we’ll miss them, but I bet we end up coming back for some special events in the future. Tonight was fun, and we had lots of great requests throughout the night. I was glad to see the staff having fun when I’d see them. Thanks to all our Corpus Christi friends for making it out to our shows!

Old Kress Live 9/5/25

Our two-year run is coming to an end at Old Kress Live in Corpus Christi this weekend. We played tonight, and we’ll be back for one last show tomorrow night. We had a bunch of fun requests tonight, including a bunch of Beatles, Elvis, 80s hits and classic rock. The first request tonight was “And I Love Her” which I would not have expected. It was great to play for a bunch of new people mixed in with familiar faces. Come out tomorrow and request your favorite song!

Moonshine & Ale 9/4/25

Live Band Karaoke went well tonight in New Braunfels. Heather, Pancho and I are always so interconnected that our nights together fly by. I love them! We had a bunch of good singers, and we had a few anniversaries, birthdays, and bachelorette parties celebrating with us. Our new app is working well, and we want to thank everyone for adapting to it so seamlessly.

Moonshine & Ale 8/31/25

Happy Labor Day! We played in New Braunfels to a room full of people out celebrating together. We had several birthdays and bachelorette parties and we kept them singing and dancing all night. I was proud of the staff at Moonshine & Ale tonight. They were short-staffed but still kept everyone happy. They busted their butts tonight, and I hope the crowd tipped them well!

Moonshine & Ale 8/30/25

We played in New Braunfels tonight, along with drummer Ryan Hall. It was an another fun evening filled with requests. Heather and I did a couple duets, and we supported each other even when we were supposed to take a break. She’s such a great partner and friend. Ryan used sticks to beat stuff, but he hits good. I think I lost IQ points on that last sentence.

Moonshine & Ale 8/29/25

We rocked a steady room full of party people all night long. Heather and I played a bunch of tunes we never had before which is one of the most interesting things about this type of show. I regularly get “tested” with requests by seeing if I remember them from a million years ago. It’s crazy how many songs are locked away in my brain.

Point West Studio 8/29/25

I drove up to Austin today to meet up with Nathan Hanners and the rest of the band to record a new song for Nathan‘s upcoming album. The song was called “Late Is Never“, and it’s always fun to play on a real B3. I also did some piano over dubs on a song we previously recorded. It was a fun afternoon, and the fellas sounded great. Thanks to Stewart and his team at Point West for having us in to record.

Moonshine & Ale 8/28/25

One thing I love about Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels is all the friends we’ve made over the years. Morgan worked at Moonshine & Ale for years, and she popped in to visit with Heather, Pancho and me tonight. I miss seeing her when we gig there. We had a great crowd of singers, and we got a chance to perform lots of our new songs which we added to our show a couple weeks ago. Heather and I will be back Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this week for piano bar. Come see us and request some songs!

Moonshine & Ale 8/22/25

We had a crazy amount of requests tonight in New Braunfels. Heather and I played as many as time allowed, and as best we could could! Some fans from Victoria, TX, showed up to celebrate a 50th birthday with us, which was so special to us! We had several other birthdays, bachelorette and bachelor parties, and even a divorce party hanging out with us tonight. We will be back at Moonshine & Ale next week for Live Band Karaoke on Thursday, and then three nights of piano bar: Friday, Saturday, and a special show on Sunday.

Moonshine & Ale 8/21/25

Hahaha! The picture may be blurry, but it was because we were all having fun tonight at Live Band Karaoke! A couple of fans joined in with us when I snapped it, but obviously I was in too big a hurry for a clear shot. The night was fun, and people were using our new app all night again. It really streamlined our whole show, and allows us to keep things moving all night. Pancho and Heather are always fun to perform with, and it’s always great to talk to people like Lauren and Sam, pictured here, sort of.

Moonshine & Ale 8/15/25

Tonight, we unveiled our new Live Band Karaoke system to the crowd, and it worked perfectly! We added over 50 songs to our list, and everything is now handled through an app by scanning a QR code, which allows people to sign up, tip, and see where they are in line to sing. It also made performing much easier for Heather because before, people would always come to her with questions mid-song. We all can now focus on playing rather than paperwork. We had a full night of singers, and the app made the list easy to follow, which I think meant we were able to get a couple more people on stage over the course of the night because it saved so much time. It was great to see some of our favorite singers in the crowd tonight, including several we haven’t seen in a few months.

Moonshine & Ale 8/9/25

We made a few new fans tonight in New Braunfels! I feel honored that I get to perform to over 300 people every time we take the stage. It feels so good that we can perform so many different kinds of songs to try to fit everyone’s requests. I still can’t believe that each show, I perform songs that I wasn’t even sure I knew. The two most interesting that I did tonight were “Suddenly Seymour“ and “I Am Woman”, the latter only being possible because I saw Weird Al perform it last weekend live. Heather sound fantastic, as always. Our drummer tonight was Ryan Hall, and he’s always a lot of fun to work with. We had a good night, but I am now exhausted! We will be back all next weekend to take more requests.

Moonshine & Ale 8/8/25

I had a lot of fun tonight in New Braunfels! We had several people out celebrating anniversaries, bachelorette parties, and birthdays. We had many requests that we haven’t seen in a long time (or ever) which is always fun and keeps things fresh. After the show, we had a chance to talk to a few fans. It always makes me happy to do that. We also had someone send a Venmo tip, and in the comment section, they called us “the best band in New Braunfels”. It definitely made us feel good.

Moonshine & Ale 8/7/25

Live Band Karaoke was great tonight. I love Pancho and Heather, and they make everything so much better and easier. I was in Indianapolis for the past few days visiting family, and I flew back to Texas today. Our flight was delayed several times, but I made it to the show right on time (down to the minute). Heather and Pancho already had the stage set up, and we started rocking as soon as I stepped onstage with them. Heather and I will be back at Moonshine & Ale for most of the month, including this weekend for piano bar, so come join the fun!

Old Kress Live 8/2/25

I love how Heather and I get so synchronized that our pictures at the end of the night look like we rehearsed them. Our 2nd of two nights in Corpus Christi went well, and we made several new fans. We love the staff and owners at Old Kress Live, and it’s been fun working with them for the past couple of years. Next month will wrap up our residency there, so mark your calendars. September 5 & 6 will be our last weekend there, but we left the door wide open to return for special events in the future!

Old Kress Live 8/1/25

Heather and I made it to Corpus Christi to perform for our friends at Old Kress Live. We had a solid crowd and lots of requests. I didn’t realize until after we got to our AirBnB that my camera only fired one shot, but at least it was one of Heather playing something awesome! We’ll be back tomorrow at 9pm, so come on out.

Moonshine & Ale 7/26/25

We performed in New Braunfels tonight with our new friend Alex Lugwa on drums. It was his first night, and it felt like we had already played together for a while. We had tons of requests as usual for a Saturday night. This show is so much fun, especially when the crowd is with us like they were tonight. Thanks to the staff at Moonshine & Ale for always keeping the crowd happy while we play all of their requests!

Moonshine & Ale 7/25/25

I love performing with Heather. We connect effortlessly when we play together, and even if I’ve had a rough time, she makes things better. We had a great night in New Braunfels, and we received so many compliments both in person after the show, and also social media mentions. I’m happy to say I’ll be back tomorrow night performing with her once again!

Moonshine & Ale 7/24/25

We had a bunch of people from out of town joining us for Live Band Karaoke tonight in New Braunfels. From Australia to Iowa and everywhere in between, singers joined us and we all had a good time. Pancho and Heather sounded great as always. This weekend, Heather and I will be back for piano bar both Friday and Saturday!

Moonshine & Ale 7/17/25

Every Thursday, we play the music for people in New Braunfels, TX, to come up and sing to for Live Band Karaoke. Heather, Pancho and I have over 400 songs to choose from, and it’s always fun because we never know what we will be playing, or who will be singing with us. No matter what, I’m always grateful for having shows where we get to perform as a band together. As a musician, I never imagined I’d have anything to do with karaoke, but it really is fun for everyone involved. Thanks to Heather and Pancho for always keeping the show top-notch!

Moonshine & Ale 7/12/25

We had another great crowd at Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels tonight! Heather and I started off with a bunch of requests as soon as we began at 8:30p, and by the time Ryan Hall joined us on drums at 10pm, the requests were flying in. I’m so glad everyone had such a great time!

Moonshine & Ale 7/11/25

We had a good crowd in New Braunfels tonight. Heather and I had some requests for songs we’ve never had before. We did our best and played them all. We also had an unusual amount of birthdays in the room. I lost count how many came out to celebrate with us. I was happy to see some of our karaoke friends join us for their first piano bar show. It’s so nice to know so many good people out there. We will return tomorrow night for more fun at 8:30pm.

Moonshine & Ale 7/10/25

All smiles at Live Band Karaoke tonight in New Braunfels! Heather, Pancho and I had a great time, and we got to see some of our fans who’ve been gone for a few years. It’s always nice when people return year after year to sing with us. I heard so many compliments about our show tonight that it was humbling. Thanks to everyone for always supporting live music!

The Hole In The Wall 7/6/25

I performed with The Long Lost Locals tonight in Austin to celebrate our single release, “The Haunted Ones”, available now on Apple Music and Spotify. We were one of three bands tonight. Harvest Thieves opened the night, we were up second, and Scott Ballew closed the night out. Lots of great music all night long. BTW They have best friend toilets in case you’re looking for one.

Old Kress Live 7/5/25

We had a fun second night in Corpus Christi tonight! Heather, Christine and I went out all afternoon to some bookstores and coffee spots before the show, so we were nice and relaxed by the time our show started. People were requesting a bunch of ‘80s tunes tonight which is always entertaining for us as well as the crowd. We will return to Old Kress Live August 1st and 2nd!

Old Kress Live 7/4/25

Happy 4th of July! I hope everyone had a safe holiday. There were devastating floods in the Hill County not far from where Heather and I live, so our thoughts are with all those affected. We played in Corpus Christi from 9p-midnight, and the crowd filed in right after the fireworks. We had some great song requests all night long, too. DJ Zach kept the party going after we finished at midnight. We will be back tomorrow for more fun!

Moonshine & Ale 7/3/25

Pancho, Heather and I played in New Braunfels tonight for a packed Live Band Karaoke show. It was one of the busiest nights I’ve seen in recent memory. This band really keeps the singers rotating throughout the evening, and I have a bunch of fun with them. We had a bunch of our regulars join us, and part of what I like bout this show is all of the friends we’ve made just through music. The three of us will be back next Thursday for another fun LBK show!

KOOP Radio 7/1/25

The Long Lost Locals performed on the air today from Austin, TX, on KOOP radio. Ted Branson interviewed Nathan Hanners about his upcoming album and release party, and we played three tunes live. Ted also played one of our new recordings, “Haunted Ones”. It was early for me, but I had a great time with the fellas.

Moonshine & Ale 6/28/25

What a fantastic night! Heather and I woke up in Hillsboro, TX, this morning after gigging in Oklahoma the night before, and we drove home for a couple hours, then met up with drummer Ryan Hall in New Braunfels to play to an absolutely packed house full of people singing along to every request they sent up. One bachelorette party gave us some cowboy hats and sashes to wear, which we gladly did while playing their songs. It was a great cap to a very busy and fun weekend!
