Moonshine & Ale 10/30/25

Eek! We started off our Halloween weekend in New Braunfels with Live Band Karaoke. It was a crisp fall night with a bright moon, and a bunch of singers joined us all night long. Pancho, Heather and I had a good time with each other, and when I got home, I took a good picture of our giant skeleton with the moon, so I had to get it in the post somehow. Heather and I will be back Friday and Saturday night for piano bar, and we will be dressed up tomorrow night for Halloween. Moonshine & Ale will be holding their annual costume contest, so come to the show in costume to participate! 8:30p-Midnight

Moonshine & Ale 10/25/25

What a show! Heather and I played in New Braunfels, and Saturday nights there, a drummer comes in at 10p. Unfortunately, the drummer tonight fell ill before arriving to the show, so we just split the night and played straight through from 8:30p-1a. It was a long show, but we had a ton of great requests and lots of people singing along with us. I love performing with Heather, and we will be back at Moonshine & Ale all next weekend, including Halloween!

Moonshine & Ale 10/23/25

Pancho, Heather and I played for Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels tonight, as we do every Thursday. The crowd came in a little late, but they kept us busy requesting songs to come sing with us. A bunch of fans from the tennis ranch showed up and brought their energy, as well as several of our regulars. It’s always a good time when I get to play shows with Pancho and Heather!

The Argyle 10/18/25

Elizabeth Arnim & Will Scharnberg were married today, and we performed for their after party! We performed for their guests from 11:45pm-1:45am, and they all danced the whole time we played. It’s always so nice to perform in people’s special days. They were really happy with our show, and we were happy to be there. Thanks to Groove Labs for having us perform, and congratulations to the newlyweds!

Moonshine & Ale 10/17/25

Heather, Christine and I met up to do a little shopping at the outlet mall before Heather and I headed south to New Braunfels tonight. We had a great time as we bought some shoes and had some dinner together. The show tonight went great. We had many unusual requests, and they were all over the place. My first three requests were Smashing Pumpkins, Neil Diamond, and Patrick Swayze, and they just kept on like that through the whole night. We played every song possible, and Heather really sounded great pulling her part of the show to new heights. I’m so happy to have both Christine and Heather in my life. They are so much fun, and I feel so relaxed knowing they are both always there for me!

Moonshine & Ale 10/16/25

Three of our servers at Moonshine & Ale came up to sing with us tonight, which is always fun to share our stage with the staff. They are awesome and take great care of everyone which makes our job easier because the crowd is already happy by the time they come up to sing with us. Josh Holmes joined us on guitar tonight and sounded great. My favorite thing tonight was a man joined us to sing, and told us his son was deployed in Kuwait. The man had text his son to let him know he was at live band karaoke, and his son signed him up to sing from overseas. He also told his dad that he wants his first stop to be at our show when he gets home, and he will be absolutely welcomed by us!

Moonshine Drinkery 10/10/25

Victoria, TX, got our first public Live Band Karaoke show tonight at one of our favorite spots, Moonshine Drinkery. Heather and I have been performing there for years with our piano show, but tonight we got to introduce our buddy Pancho Garza to our friends in Victoria. The show went great, and we had some really good singers. It was nice to have some of our long-time fans join us onstage to sing! After the show, we packed up and made the 2-hour trip home while talking about all the random things life has thrown at all three of us over the years. I love that I get to perform with such great people.

Moonshine & Ale 10/9/25

My nephew, Josh Holmes, filled in for Pancho tonight on guitar for Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels with Heather and me  We had  good time and had many first timers come sing with us. One of our regulars, our friend Tasha, took some photos for us when she wasn’t on stage singing with us. There were some people in costumes for some reason, and Heather ended up with a mustache. I like my job.

Tapatio Springs 10/8/25

Heather and I traveled out to perform a private event in Boerne, TX, tonight for the good people from Austin Telco. They brought us lots of requests, including some piano classics like “Piano Man” and “Bennie and the Jets”, and some unique ones like “Happiness Is A Warm Gun”. I love the variety of songs they asked for, and we were both happy to be able to perform for their group. They did a margarita-making competition before our show, and their was some discrepancies about who won first or second place. We remained neutral and told them they were all winners when it comes to margaritas. Thanks for having us!

Kissing Tree 10/7/25

Tonight marked our first mobile Live Band Karaoke show and it went great! We performed a private event on the outside stage at Kissing Tree in San Marcos. Lots of the people there were excited to see us because Heather and I have done several Dueling Pianos shows there in the past, and they sang with us ll night long. Pancho on guitar sounded fantastic, and the gear rig I put together worked flawlessly. This show took over a year of planning and investments to get all the pieces working the same way folks know and love from our New Braunfels residency on Thursday nights at Moonshine & Ale. I started from scratch and made over 400+ lyric videos, wired a full PA system specifically for the needs of this show, and showed Heather and Pancho how to set it up with me. I’m so excited to have this new offering to book at venues and private events, and I’m so happy the people at Kissing Tree responded so positively to it. Many more shows to come, I’m sure. We will be in New Braunfels Thursday for LBK, and then on Friday, we travel to Victoria, TX, to bring this same show to our friends at Moonshine Drinkery.

Rockin J Piano Bar 10/4/25

We had a great time in Cedar Park tonight! We had fans come in from Dallas, Temple, and Killeen to see our show. It always makes me feel good to see and get to entertain people who have followed us for years. Heather and I locked in right from our first note, and played everything from “Islands In The Stream” to “Like A Stone” to “Always Something There To Remind Me”. I was so happy to see our glow stick crew air drumming to our show tonight, too!

Moonshine & Ale 10/2/25

I had so much fun at Live Band Karaoke tonight in New Braunfels! Pancho was saying it had been a while since I last shared some “big head” pics of him, so I granted his wish. Also, our buddy Andrae Blissett dropped in, so I invited him to join me on keys for a song. We had some people in the crowd who were experiencing their first show with us, and they loved how we made each other smile all night. One guy let me know he was watching me and my crazy expressions all night and was loving it. I’m just so happy to play with some good musicians I love!
