Josh Holmes joined our Live Band Karaoke tonight on bass, and he sounded great! Heather was supposed to be on vacation, but her plans changed, so I was super happy she was able to join me and Pancho. It was rainy most of the evening, so it kept the crowd down, but we still had lots of great singers join us on stage. Heather and I will be back at Moonshine & Ale for a special Wednesday show next week to kick off the Thanksgiving weekend!

Darwin’s Piano Bar 11/16/25
Heather is on vacation this week, so drummer Alex Lugwa joined me tonight to take requests in Austin, TX, on 6th Street. It was slow t the beginning, but we ended up with a good crowd of people from all over the world. We played songs by James Taylor, U2, The Killers, Queen and a bunch of others. Alex was a bunch of fun to work with. We even got a love note in our tip jar. That always makes me feel good.

The McNay Art Museum 11/15/25
Heather and I performed for a private event in San Antonio tonight. It’s always fun to bring our dueling pianos to new groups. They had a great time as we played their requests! Before the show, we were able to look at some of the exhibits in the museum, and they fed us well. Another great gig for the books!

Moonshine & Ale 11/13/25
I’m always grateful for being able to perform for a living. Pancho and Heather are some of my greatest friends, and to share the stage with them feels like I won the lottery. Then on top of that, we’ve built Live Band Karaoke into such a supportive and accepting show where everyone is welcomed and encouraged, and the crowd really understands that vibe. Tonight was really busy because so many people were in town for Wurstfest which happens just a few blocks away. The locals stepped up and showed our out of town guests how to treat each singer, and everyone had a good time. As a bonus, a band from Germany came in (on their night off from performing at the festival) and sang a couple of songs with us, which was fun. I truly thank everyone who makes Live Band Karaoke so special!

Rockin J Piano Bar 11/8/25
We drove into Cedar Park tonight for our show at Rockin J Piano Bar, and when we came around a corner on the highway, the moon was so large and orange, Heather and I both gasped out loud! I tried to snap a pic, but it came out blurry, but it’s easy to see how large it was in the road. Heather took a great clear picture of it when we stopped, but it’s hard to see how big it was. Anyway, our show was attended by a bunch of people we haven’t seen in a bit, like the glowstick brigade, and some of our fans who’ve seen us since our first shows at Rockin J when we brought our keytar and played with drummer Joe Resnick. There were a bunch of birthdays in the house, and a bunch of people out to have a good time. The last hour was non-stop requests coming in, and we did our best to hit as many as we could before we had to end. We played a little over our end time to try to squeeze in a few extra songs because we had so many! A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of the people who come to see our shows. It means the world to us whenever we walk in and see a bunch of smiling familiar faces in the crowd!

Rockin J Piano Bar 11/7/25
Our Cedar Park show at Rockin J Piano Bar was a bunch of fun tonight! We had lots of requests for ‘90s rock tonight, and a bunch of ‘70s dance hits, too. We made several new fans, one of which wanted us to play their wedding, but we were already booked. It was really nice to be asked, as it always is whenever we get to perform for people’s big day. Heather and I will be back tomorrow night to do it all again!

Moonshine & Ale 11/6/25
I played bass tonight for Live Band Karaoke in New Braunfels. Heather drummed and Pancho played guitar while Julia Chisholm from Boston was on keys. We had a good time together. It’s always fun playing bass for the show. We had lots of our regulars join us tonight to sing, and everyone sounded great. This weekend, Heather and I will be performing in Cedar Park at Rockin J’s. Come see us!

Darwin’s Piano Bar 11/2/25
We performed on 6th Street in Austin, TX, tonight for our friends at Darwin’s Piano Bar. We’ve performed there many times over the years for CJ, the owner. It was nice to get a chance to talk with him a bit before our show. We made new fans, and played from 7:30p-10:30p. Afterwards, we walked down to visit our friends at Pete’s, and check out one of our favorite shops which is located right next door. It was a fun night!

Moonshine & Ale 11/1/25
It’s November, and we started off the month by playing in New Braunfels at Moonshine & Ale (with drummer Ryan Hall). We had some odd and fun requests tonight. I played everything from Johnny Lee and Elvis to Eminem and Kpop Demon Hunters. Heather was rocking songs by Olivia Newton John, Pitbull, and Cyndi Lauper to name a few. Ryan rocked all the songs tonight, and nearly pulled a muscle playing some Devo with us. You just never know what will be played at one of our shows! Tomorrow night, we perform at 7:30p at Darwin’s in Austin on 6th Street. Come see us!

Moonshine & Ale 10/31/25
I love Halloween! Heather and I decided to go as Gamora and Peter Quill from Guardians Of The Galaxy. We headed down to Moonshine & Ale in New Braunfels where we had a full room of party goers in full costumes. We played 8:30p-11:30, then we MC'd a costume contest where the crowd voted on the best costumes by applause. Our buddy Pancho was playing nearby, so we got to spend some time with him before and after the show, which was cool. The staff all looked fantastic, and I'm so happy to work along with them lots of times throughout each month. Special events like this are always so much fun! Heather and I will be back tomorrow night to take more requests. Thanks to everyone who came out in costume tonight. Happy Halloween!
