Gray Gregson and I played the Kingsman Ball in Corpus Christi last night. We had fun out by the pool with all the good folks in formal attire. Gray and I took turn turns playing tunes, and sometimes, playing our electric drum kit. My favorite request of the night was from a man who asked if I know how to play Tipitina. Yes. Yes, I do.

Zilker Park 4/28/16
I DJed the City Of Austin's Spring Fling today! It was a gorgeous day to be out in the park, especially while listening to some Motown and more. My wife was in attendance, which was another great perk of today's gig. Thanks to the City for having me out today!

Jack's Roadhouse 4/24/16
I played a solo set today at Jack's in San Marcos for a "Save The Stage" benefit. Jack's has always been great to DHG, so I always go lend a hand when possible. If you want to hear what I played, I broadcast my set on DanHolmesGroup's Facebook page. Go support live music!
Moonshine & Ale 4/23/16
Chris Wallis and I had a great crowd in New Braunfels tonight. Three bachelorette parties and and a ton of requests made the night fly by. I was moved to wear all purple in honor of Prince, and the crowd was ready to sing his hits with me. We ended up playing "Cream", "1999", "Raspberry Beret", "Little Red Corvette", "Kiss", and "Purple Rain" twice. Thank you to the crowd for singing all of his tunes with me. It was a good healing session.

Evangeline Cafe 4/22/16
DanHolmesGroup played a couple hours of funky music in Austin, TX tonight. Kevin Humphry (bass), Ian Lee (guitar), and Chris Wallis (drums) are some of my favorite guys to make music with. No matter how long in between shows, these fellas make it seem like they play these tunes daily. Thank you to Curtis and the staff at Evangeline Cafe for being so good to us each time we're in Austin!

The Coliseum 4/21/16
The Snyder Chamber of Commerce welcomed Gray Gregson and I as we represented New York NY Dueling Pianos to Snyder, TX! It was a bitter sweet start to the show, as we (along with the rest of the world) found out Prince had passed away earlier in the day, so we naturally had several Prince songs requested early. After we payed tribute, the show was a crazy-fun time, with tons of requests and ending with a standing ovation! Gotta love the good crowds. Special thanks to Eddie Baty for not only helping with gear tonight, but also for taking some pictures for us.

Moonshine & Ale 5/16/16
Moonshine & Ale was packed tonight! Chris Wallis and I played so many tunes, I lost count. I like playing shows like this one, because everyone was in such a good mood, and that feeling is infectious. Chris is always fun to play with, so that made the mood even better. Thanks to all the birthdays, engagements, and bachelorettes out partying tonight!!!

Danny Smith played piano tonight in New Braunfels, and I backed him up on the drums! I had fun with Danny, playing all the random tunes the folks brought up to the piano tonight. I'll be back tomorrow night, and I'll be on piano, with Chris Wallis on drums! Come on out, new people!!!

Greek Bros Oyster Bar 4/2/16
I had a truly fantastic time performing in El Campo this evening with Gray Gregson and Chris Wallis for a Howl2Go (Howl At The Moon) show! The stage was huge, sound and lights were pro, and the crowd was more energized than I have recently experienced. We had TONS of requests and good vibes from a filled-to-capacity room. Nothing but positive comments from the crowd and the club owners. Chris and Gray are both great players, and they really stepped up to the plate for this show. Also, I'd like to thank Eddie Baty for taking some fantastic pictures and video of us this evening, and helping with set-up and tear-down of our gear.

Moonshine & Ale 4/1/16
Mikey Gammon caught on fire tonight in New Braunfels. I put him out with the water from the vase holding two dozen roses from a fan who left it as a way of thanking me for reuniting their cat. A shooting star was spotted above the building across the street, but it turned out to be a Roman Candle which broke through the main glass window and struck Mikey, causing the fire. Yep. That's exactly how our April 1st gig went in detail.

Aquabrew Gastro Pub 3/30/16
Chris Wallis joined me in San Marcos to play at a new restaurant near the square called Aquabrew. We played a couple hours worth of tunes, including a bunch of originals and some of our favorite tunes by other artists. Chris was using an Alesis drum pad for the first time, and he sounded great! I'm scheduled back at Aquabrew next Thursday, starting at 7p, so come check out the new hip spot in town!

Enchanted Springs Ranch 3/26/16
Tonight, I performed at a wedding in Boerne, TX with Howl2Go (Howl At The Moon) with Tommy, Chris and Kevin. I had a blast dueling with Tommy again, and the crowd always loves him. Chris and Kevin were rock-solid as always as the rhythm section. The wedding party and their guests filled the dance floor all night long, and it made the night fly by. Congratulations to the newlyweds!

Jack's Roadhouse 3/24/16
I played at a fund raiser today with drummer Abe Combest in San Marcos to benefit a local family who lost their young son recently. A sad set of circumstances brought out a wide variety of musicians to help raise some money by playing some music and encouraging donations. It'll be going for a couple more hours, so if you hurry, you can help out, too.

Moonshine & Ale 3/18/16
New Braunfels saw stormy weather this evening, but the party still went on with Mikey Gammon and I. We had a good crowd, and they brought us up lots of requests. Thanks to Mikey for a second-night-in-a-row fun show!

Moonshine & Ale 3/17/16
What a crazy St. Patrick's Day in New Braunfels! Mikey Gammon (drums) played a fantastic show, and we were joined for the first time by the extremely talented saxophonist, Greg Williams. We played a solid show from 8:30pm - 11:45pm of nothing but upbeat, danceable tunes, and enjoyed the moments when the stage was taken over with dancers. Happy St. Patrick's Day, everyone!

Sean Patrick's 3/17/16
The Hill Country Gentlemen played in San Marcos today for St. Patrick's day. I had a great time playing with the fellas. It was a little warm & muggy, so the crowd kept still while trying to keep cool, but they were appreciative of us! I always look forward to gigs with the Gents.

Moonshine & Ale 3/12/16
It was a strange evening in New Braunfels. Lots of people, lots and lots of birthdays, tons of requests, and not many were popular tunes. Everything from Led Zeppelin's "Hey, Hey, What Can I Do" to Hendrix's "Hey Joe" to Billy Ocean's "Caribbean Queen". Chris Wallis nailed every tune to the wall. I love playing with Chris. He made my odd night go by really fast! A big thank you should be mentioned to the crowd for keeping the fun and bizarre requests coming up all night long.
