Mikey Gammon and I rounded out our weekend together in Waco, TX at Muddle. We had a laid-back show for most of the evening, and the crowd really kicked into high gear during our last hour. I had fun trying a bunch of new tunes with Mikey this weekend! Thanks to all who hung out with us!

Moonshine & Ale 5/27/16
Awesome night in New Braunfels this evening with Mikey Gammon! We had many first-time-for-me requests, including Peter Frampton's "Show Me The Way", Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me", Harry Connick Jr's "Whisper Your Name" and many others. Mikey killed it on Led Zeppelin's "Rock & Roll", and everyone brought out the lights on their phones for Prince's "Purple Rain". It was a good night.

Grind House Coffee & Cocktails 5/26/16
Even though it was storming off and on, people were out having fun tonight in Kyle, TX. I had a bunch of great requests ranging from Frank Sinatra to Queen. I also had a special guest, Bill Forrest, sit in for a couple tunes. I'm looking forward to the next show at Grind House!

Moonshine & Ale 5/25/16
Rock Coreys made a fine bunch of grooves tonight in New Braunfels! The rhythm section was funky and the tunes sounded fresher than they did in 1986. Corey on guitar made an amazing amount of funky noise which made my job easy on keys. See you next week at Moonshine & Ale!

Howl At The Moon 5/22/16
I drove to San Antonio to play with the Howl crew tonight. We had a good crowd for a Sunday evening! Some folks even took the time to change the phrase of the night to "These performers are awesome". Love when the crowd loves on us.

Moonshine & Ale 5/20/16
Mikey Gammon and I performed our piano-drums request show tonight in New Braunfels to a huge and diverse crowd! Things picked up as the night went on, and by the end, the stage was flooded with birthdays, anniversaries, bachelorettes, and dancers. Mikey sounded great this evening, and it was a pleasure performing with him.

Moonshine & Ale 5/18/16
The debut 80s night in New Braunfels with Rock Coreys was totally tubular tonight! Corey Holmes, Corey Humphrey, Corey Resnick, and Corey Galindo made beautiful vintage music together. The crowd was energized, and lots of old fans came by to dance and party with the band. There was even an air guitar competition held during break! Every Wednesday, Rock Coreys will light up the night at Moonshine & Ale. I feel fortunate to have been in the room. Thanks a bunch to Christine Barton-Holmes for taking photos!

Moonshine & Ale 5/14/16
New Braunfels is where Mikey Gammon and I teamed up this evening. We had a huge crowd and TONS of requests. There were a lot of oddball tunes we attempted, in addition to the normal sing-alongs like "Brown Eyed Girl". "Life's Been Good" had us amazed at not only how good it came out, but also at the huge response as we finished it! Woot!

My first show at Grind House in Kyle, TX went just fine this evening! Lots of requests and positive vibes all night. I'll be doing another show in two weeks here. Come out & bring your friends!

Nasty's 5/11/16
Nathan Hanners had me come perform with his band in Austin, Texas tonight. I had a great time playing some blues with his top-notch rhythm section of Erin Jaimes (bass) and Ian Baily (drums). Besides meeting some new musician friends, I also had the chance to see some friends from Indiana who came out to see the show! I hope to get a chance soon to perform with Nathan again.

Marriott Rivercenter 5/7/16
We played a show for Howl2Go (Howl At The Moon) tonight in San Antonio, and it went great! My dueling partner, Dave Lovett, and I took tons of requests from the energetic crowd, and played as many as we could in two hours with the help of our amazing rhythm section, consisting of Chris Wallis on drums and Kevin Humphry on bass. The crowd wasn't afraid to dance, so we kept them on their feet. Fun night all around for the guests at the 2016 Convention Unite & Ignite and us!

Cypress Creek Cafe 5/6/16
Americana was played in Wimberly tonight! I had a great time with The Hill Country Gentlemen. The band sounded fantastic, and the dance floor had regular visitors. I'm sure we'll be back soon. Thanks to Christine Barton-Holmes for the picture.

JW Marriott 5/2/16
Dave Lovett and I performed a dueling piano show tonight in downtown Austin, TX for Q2's client conference Connect 16. The stage had two baby grand pianos on it, about 20 feet apart and about four foot away from the front of the stage, which took a little getting used to, but we rocked the night! The crowd was bringing us requests from our first note until our last, and regularly would come dance across the stage. Dave sounded fantastic in my monitor, and it was a treat to play with him again!

Moonshine & Ale 4/30/16
I drummed in New Braunfels while Tommy Raye played piano, and our special guest, Celeste Brinkman, on violin. I enjoyed drumming this evening! We had a big variety of tunes, as always, hit the piano. Thanks to everyone for parting at Moonshine & Ale with us!

Corpus Christi Country Club 4/29/16
Gray Gregson and I played the Kingsman Ball in Corpus Christi last night. We had fun out by the pool with all the good folks in formal attire. Gray and I took turn turns playing tunes, and sometimes, playing our electric drum kit. My favorite request of the night was from a man who asked if I know how to play Tipitina. Yes. Yes, I do.

Zilker Park 4/28/16
I DJed the City Of Austin's Spring Fling today! It was a gorgeous day to be out in the park, especially while listening to some Motown and more. My wife was in attendance, which was another great perk of today's gig. Thanks to the City for having me out today!

Jack's Roadhouse 4/24/16
I played a solo set today at Jack's in San Marcos for a "Save The Stage" benefit. Jack's has always been great to DHG, so I always go lend a hand when possible. If you want to hear what I played, I broadcast my set on DanHolmesGroup's Facebook page. Go support live music!
Moonshine & Ale 4/23/16
Chris Wallis and I had a great crowd in New Braunfels tonight. Three bachelorette parties and and a ton of requests made the night fly by. I was moved to wear all purple in honor of Prince, and the crowd was ready to sing his hits with me. We ended up playing "Cream", "1999", "Raspberry Beret", "Little Red Corvette", "Kiss", and "Purple Rain" twice. Thank you to the crowd for singing all of his tunes with me. It was a good healing session.

Evangeline Cafe 4/22/16
DanHolmesGroup played a couple hours of funky music in Austin, TX tonight. Kevin Humphry (bass), Ian Lee (guitar), and Chris Wallis (drums) are some of my favorite guys to make music with. No matter how long in between shows, these fellas make it seem like they play these tunes daily. Thank you to Curtis and the staff at Evangeline Cafe for being so good to us each time we're in Austin!

The Coliseum 4/21/16
The Snyder Chamber of Commerce welcomed Gray Gregson and I as we represented New York NY Dueling Pianos to Snyder, TX! It was a bitter sweet start to the show, as we (along with the rest of the world) found out Prince had passed away earlier in the day, so we naturally had several Prince songs requested early. After we payed tribute, the show was a crazy-fun time, with tons of requests and ending with a standing ovation! Gotta love the good crowds. Special thanks to Eddie Baty for not only helping with gear tonight, but also for taking some pictures for us.
