We played a dueling pianos show for a corporate event tonight in Round Rock, TX, at the Kalahari Resort. We’ve played for this group 3 or four times in the past, and we always have a good time with them. Midway through the show, a woman came and asked me if a young lady named Paisley could come play “Piano Man”, so I said “Of course”! She ran and got her own harmonica and head gear and sounded great. I got to play “Peaches” for a very happy young man and his father. After our show wrapped up, one of the people who hired us asked if we had our caricature done yet. He pointed us towards William, the butt sketch artist. For posteriors sake, I’ve blurred his sexy rendering of both of our back sides. It made it even funnier. After the show, we headed into Redd’s Piano and watched Tammy Tanner play a few songs and saw the cutest service pup, then drove to Darwin’s Pub where we caught a couple tunes by the always entertaining team of Michael Carrandi and Joe Resnick, headed down 6th Street to Pete’s and said hi to our friends Mike Atkins and Chris Saucedo, and then drove to In-N-Out on the way home. We packed it in today!
